¹Moreover Elihu answered and said,

¹Huailouin Elihuin a dawnga, hichiin a chi a:

²Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than ùGod's?

³For thou hast asked of what profit it is unto thee: what do I gain more than if I had sinned?

³Kei adingin bang phattuamna a om dia? huan. Ka khelh nak sal aleh, bang phattuamna ka neia? na chih?

⁴I will reply to thee in words, and to thy companions with thee.

⁴Nang, leh na kianga na lawmte ka hondawng ding.

⁵Look unto the heavens and see; and survey the skies: they are higher than thou.

⁵Vante lam en inla, mu in; huan vante, nang sanga sangjaw, en in.

⁶If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? If thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

⁶Na hihkhelh leh, amah dema bang hih na hia? Huan na tatleknate punsak hileh, amah tunga bang hih na hia?

⁷If thou be righteous, what givest thou to him? or what doth he receive of thy hand?

⁷Daktat hi lechin, amah bang na pia a? Ahihkeileh na khut akipan bang a mu a?

⁸Thy wickedness [may affect] a man as thou [art], and thy righteousness a son of man.

⁸Na gitlouhnain mi bang bangin a hihna thei a; huan na diktatnain mihing tapa a hih hampha thei hi.

⁹By reason of the multitude of oppressions they cry; they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty:

⁹Nuaisiahna tam mahmah jiakin a kikou khia ua; mi hat ban jiakin panpih deihin a kikou uh.

¹⁰But none saith, Where is +God my Maker, who giveth songs in the night,

¹⁰Himahleh kuamahin, Jan chia late pia, Pathian kei Bawlpa koia om ahia;

¹¹Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowl of the heavens?

¹²There they cry, and he answereth not, because of the pride of evil men.

¹³Surely ùGod will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

¹⁴Although thou sayest thou dost not see him, judgment is before him, therefore wait for him.

¹⁴Nang ngial houh: Amah ka mu kei, a thu maah a om, amah ka ngak hi, na chih vial.

¹⁵But now, because he hath not visited in his anger, doth not [Job] know [his] great arrogancy?

¹⁵Himahleh tuin, heha a veh louha, kiotsakna leng a limsaklouin jiakin;Huaijiakin Jobin bangmahlouin a kam a ka ahi; theihna beiin thu a tamsak ahi.

¹⁶For Job hath opened his mouth in vanity, and made words abundant without knowledge.
