8

1And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,
1Huchiin Bildad Sua miin a dawnga, hichiin a chi a:
2How long wilt thou speak these things? and the words of thy mouth be a strong wind?
2Bangtan hiai thilte gen ding na hia? huan bangtan na kama thute huih hat bang ding ahi ua?
3Doth ùGod pervert judgment, and the Almighty pervert justice?
3Pathianin vaihawmna a hekkawi ahia? ahihkeileh Thilbang-kimhih theiin dikna a hekkawi ahia?
4If thy children have sinned against him, he hath also given them over into the hand of their transgression.
4Na tate a tunga a khelh ua, hua a tatlekna uh khuta amaute a pikhiak a leh:
5If thou seek earnestly unto ùGod, and make thy supplication to the Almighty,
5Pathian lam kuhkaltaka na zona, hua Thilbangkimhihthei kianga na thilnget na bawl leh;
6If thou be pure and upright, surely now he will awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous;
6Na siangthoua na dik leh; nang jiakin tuin ka khanglou mahmah dia, huan na diktatna omna a lohching sak ding hi.
7And though thy beginning was small, yet thine end shall be very great.
7Huan na kipatna neu mahleh, ahihhangin na tawpna na nunglam nakpiin a khang ding hi.
8For inquire, I pray thee, of the former generation, and attend to the researches of their fathers;
8Huai jiakin ka honngen ahi, hun masa thu kan inla, a pipute un a na zonkhiak uh lamah kisuk in:
9For we are [but] of yesterday, and know nothing, for our days upon earth are a shadow.
9(Ei lah jana lel i hi ua, bangmah i theikei uh, leitungah i nite uh lah limliap ahi a: )
10Shall not they teach thee, [and] tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
10Amauten nang a honsinsak un, a honhilh un, a lungtang ua kipanin thute a gen kei ding ua hia?
11Doth the papyrus shoot up without mire? doth the reed-grass grow without water?
11Buannawi louin phaipek a khang khe thei ahia? tui louin loupa a khangthei ahia?
12Whilst it is yet in its greenness [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] grass.
12Hinga a oma, sat puk louh a hihlaiin, loupa dangte main a vuai nak hi.
13So are the paths of all that forget ùGod; and the profane man's hope shall perish,
13Huaibangmahin Pathian manghilhte tengteng lampi ahi; huan pathianlimsaklou mi lametna a mangthang ding:
14Whose confidence shall be cut off, and his reliance is a spider's web.
14A muanna a kitam dinga, a kingakna maimomlen ahi hi.
15He shall lean upon his house, and it shall not stand; he shall lay hold on it, but it shall not endure.
15A intung a ngai dia, himahleh a ding kei ding: huaiah a lenchinten dia, himahleh a pangsawt kei ding hi.
16He is full of sap before the sun, and his sprout shooteth forth over his garden;
16Ni suah main a hinga, huan a selte a huan tuamin a meng khia uh.
17His roots are entwined about the stoneheap; he seeth the place of stones.
17A zungte leivum kimah a jam ua, suangte omna mun ah a hing hi.
18If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him: I have not seen thee!
18A mun akipan lakmang hi leh, huchiin amah a kitheihmohbawl dinga, Ka honmu ngeikei, chiin.
19Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the dust shall others grow.
19Ngaiin, hiai a lampi kipahna ahia, huan lei akipanin adangte a hongsuak ding uh.
20Behold, ùGod will not cast off a perfect man, neither will he take evil-doers by the hand.
20Ngaiin, Pathianin mi hoihkim a paikhe kei ding, gilouhihmite leng a tungding sam kei ding hi.
21Whilst he would fill thy mouth with laughing and thy lips with shouting,
21Na kam nuihin a hondimsak lai lai dia, na mukte kikounain.Nang honmudahte zumnain akhuh dinga; huan gilou puanin omta kei ding hi.
22They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked be no more.
22Nang honmudahte zumnain akhuh dinga; huan gilou puanin omta kei ding hi.
