²Covering thyself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent-curtain; --

²Nang vak tuh puan bangin na silha; vante puanintung bangin na kai palha;

³Who layeth the beams of his upper chambers in the waters, who maketh clouds his chariot, who walketh upon the wings of the wind;

³Aman a dantan sunggil kalvaite tuite khawngah a khunga; meipi tuh kangtalaiin a bawla; huih kha tungah a vak hi:

⁴Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flame of fire.

⁴A angelten tuh huihina suaksaka; a nasemte tuh meikuang juajuain a suaksak hi.

⁵He laid the earth upon its foundations: it shall not be removed for ever.

⁵Leitung kingaknate tuh na phuma, khantawna lin louhna dingin.

⁶Thou hadst covered it with the deep, as with a vesture; the waters stood above the mountains:

⁶Nang leilung tuh thukpi puan bangin na silhsaka; tuite tang tungah tekhawng a om pheuphou hi.

⁷At thy rebuke they fled, at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away; --

⁷Na taihilhna jiakin a taimanga; na van-ging husa jiakina paimang pahta a;

⁸The mountains rose, the valleys sank, unto the place which thou hadst founded for them; --

⁸Tang khawngah a pai tou a, guam ah tekhawng a pai suka, amah dia mun na bawlsakna lamah.

⁹Thou hast set a bound which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to cover the earth.

⁹A kan louh dingin gi na khunga, lei tup mang dinga a kiknawn tak louhna dingin.

¹⁰He sendeth the springs into the valleys: they run among the mountains;

¹⁰Aman guam ahte khawng luinakte a sawl khiaa; tangkal khawngah a luang hi.

¹¹They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst.

¹¹Huaiten tuh gamsa khempeuh kiangah dawnding a pia ua; Gam sabengtungten a dangtak uh a hihdai uhi.

¹²The birds of heaven dwell by them; they give forth their voice from among the branches.

¹²A dung uah tungleng vasaten omna a nei ua, singbawk lak khawngah a ham uhi.

¹³He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

¹³Aman a dantan tungnung akipanin tangte tuiin a vaka: lei tuh na thilhih gahtein a vaka: lei tuh na thilhih gahtein a tai uhi.

¹⁴He maketh the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man; bringing forth bread out of the earth,

¹⁴Loupa gante adingin a pousaka, haichi tuh mihing zatdin a pousak hi: lei akipan nekding pawtsak theihna dingin:

¹⁵And wine which gladdeneth the heart of man; making [his] face shine with oil; and with bread he strengtheneth man's heart.

¹⁵Mihing lungtang kipahsakna uain toh, a mai kilawmsakna ding thau toh, mihing lungtang hihhatna tanghou toh.

¹⁶The trees of Jehovah are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted,

¹⁶TOUPA singte tuh a taisak hi; Lebanon tanga sidar sing a suante mah.

¹⁷Where the birds make their nests; [as for] the stork, the fir trees are her house.

¹⁸The high mountains are for the wild goats; the cliffs, a refuge for the rock-badgers.

¹⁹He made the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth its going down.

¹⁹Aman kha hunbi theihna dingin a sepa: niin tum hun theigige hi.

²⁰Thou makest darkness, and it is night, wherein all the beasts of the forest creep forth:

²⁰Nang mial na bawla, jan a honghi jel hi, huai hunin gamnuaia sa khempeuhte a ta khia uhi.

²¹The young lions roar after the prey, and to seek their food from ùGod.

²¹Humpinelkai hatlaiten a sa mat ding uh, humham khumin, Pathian kiang akipan a nekding uh a zong uhi.

²²The sun ariseth, they retreat, and lay them down in their dens.

²²Ni suaka, a pai mang uh, a omna khuk chiat uah a lum jel uhi.

²³Man goeth forth unto his work, and to his labour until the evening.

²³Mihing tuh na semin apawta, nitaklam tanin a semgim hi.

²⁴How manifold are thy works, O Jehovah! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

²⁴TOUPA aw, na thilhihte tam hina tele! Pilnain na bawl vek ahi; leilung na hauhsaknain a dim hi.

²⁵Yonder is the great and wide sea: therein are moving things innumerable, living creatures small and great.

²⁵Pamah tuipi a oma, thupi, lianpi tak, huaiah thil bokvaka pai sim zohlouh a oma, sa neu leh sa liante.

²⁶There go the ships; [there] that leviathan, which thou hast formed to play therein.

²⁶Huailaiah meilong liante a pai uh; huailaiah ole a om, a sunga mawl dinga na bawl ngei.

²⁷These all look unto thee, that thou mayest give their food in its season:

²⁷Huai tengtengin a honngak chiat ua, a huntaka a ann uh na piak jelna dingin.

²⁸That thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thy hand, they are filled with good.

²⁸A kiang ua na piak peuhmah a tawm ua; na khut ua jaka, hoihnain a tai jel uhi.

²⁹Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; thou takest away their breath, they expire and return to their dust.

²⁹Na mai na sela, a lungjing ua, a hatna uh na laksaka, a si ua, amau leivui ah a kik nawn uhi.

³⁰Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created, and thou renewest the face of the earth.

³⁰Na kha na sawl khiaa, siamin a om jel uhi; leitung leng na bawl thak nawn jel hi.

³¹The glory of Jehovah will endure for ever; Jehovah will rejoice in his works.

³¹TOUPA thupina tuh khantawin om henla; TOUPA tuh a nasepah nuam hen:

³²He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth; he toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.

³²Aman lei a ena, a ling nak; tangte a khoiha, a khu khe nak hi.

³³I will sing unto Jehovah as long as I live; I will sing psalms to my God while I have my being.

³³Ka damsung tengin TOUPA pahtawiin la ka sa dinga: ka hinlai tengin ka Pathian phatin la ka sa ding hi.

³⁴My meditation shall be pleasant unto him; I will rejoice in Jehovah.

³⁴Ka ngaihtuahna tuh amaha dingin khumtak hi hen: kei tuh TOUPA ah ka nuam ding hi.Mi khialte lei akipanin hihmanin om uhenla, mi gilou-saloute om nawnta kei uhen! Ka hinna aw, TOUPA phatin! TOUPA tuh phat un!

³⁵Sinners shall be consumed out of the earth, and the wicked shall be no more. Bless Jehovah, O my soul. Hallelujah!
