1{A Psalm of Asaph.} Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are of a pure heart.
1Pathian tuh Israelte tungah a nahoih ngei e, lungtang siangthoute tunga.
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone, my steps had well nigh slipped;
2Himahleh ken jaw ka siktal dekdeka; ka kalsuante a teu dekdek ahi.
3For I was envious at the arrogant, seeing the prosperity of the wicked.
3Mi gilou-saloute vangphatdan ka muhin mi mangte ka eng ngala.
4For they have no pangs in their death, and their body is well nourished;
4A sih lai un thuakna himhim a neikei ua: a hatna u tuh a kip zosop ngala.
5They have not the hardships of mankind, neither are they plagued like [other] men:
5Mi dang banga gimthuakin a om kei uhi. Midang banga gawtin leng a om sam kei uhi.
6Therefore pride encompasseth them as a neck-chain, violence covereth them [as] a garment;
6Huaijiakin kisaktheihnain khainiang bangin a ngawng uh a vela; hiam gamnain puansilh bangin a tuam hi.
7Their eyes stand out from fatness, they exceed the imaginations of their heart:
7Thau jiakin a mit uh a pawng leulaw u a: lungtang thudeih sanga thupi a nei uhi.
8They mock and speak wickedly of oppression, they speak loftily:
8A nuihsan ua, giloutakin nuaisiahna thu a gen ua: kisaktheihnain a pau uhi.
9They set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
9A kam uh van khawngah a koih ua, a lei un leitung a pha suak jel hi.
10Therefore his people turn hither, and waters in fulness are wrung out to them.
10Huaijiakin a mite tuh huaiah a kik nawn ua. Tui nou-a dim tuh amau dawn siang sipsipin om hi.
11And they say, How can ùGod know, and is there knowledge in the Most High?
11Pathianin bangchin a thei dia? Tungnungpenin theihna a nei dia hia? a chi ua.
12Behold, these are the wicked, and they prosper in the world: they heap up riches.
12En dih, hiaite khawng mi gilou-saloute ahi uhi; nuamsa taka om gigein a hau deuhdeuh jel uhi.
13Truly have I purified my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency:
13A thawn maiin ahi, ka lungtang ka hihsiana, ka khutte gensiatbeia ka sil.
14For all the day have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15If I said, I will speak thus, behold, I should be faithless to the generation of thy children.
16When I thought to be able to know this, it was a grievous task in mine eyes;
17Until I went into the sanctuaries of ùGod; [then] understood I their end.
17Pathian mun siangthou a ka luta, a beina ding uh ka ngaituah masiah.
18Truly thou settest them in slippery places, thou castest them down in ruins.
18Amau tuh mun nal takahte na koih ngeia; siatna ahte khawng na pai khe jel hi.
19How are they suddenly made desolate! they pass away, consumed with terrors.
19Bangchidan ahia mitphiat kal kiaa a ingam tak u aw! thil mulkimhuai taktea hihmanthat vekin a omta uhi.
20As a dream, when one awaketh, wilt thou, Lord, on arising despise their image.
20Min khanloh nunga mang bangmah a sak louh bang un, Toupa aw, na halh hunin amau lim leng bangmah na sa kei ding hi.
21When my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins,
22Then I was brutish and knew nothing; I was [as] a beast with thee.
23Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden my right hand;
24Thou wilt guide me by thy counsel, and after the glory, thou wilt receive me.
24Nang na lemtheihnain non pi dinga, huai nung chiangin thupina ah non kipahpih ding hi.
25Whom have I in the heavens? and there is none upon earth I desire beside thee.
25Van ah nang lou ngal kua ka neia? Lei ah leng nang lou ngal ka deih kuamah a om kei hi.
26My flesh and my heart faileth: God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.
26Ka sa leh ka lungtang a bahta a: himahleh Pathian tuh khantawna ka lungtang utna ding leh ka tantuan ding ahi.
27For behold, they that are far from thee shall perish; thou destroyest every one that goeth a whoring from thee.
27Ngaiin, nangmah gamlata omte a mangthang dek ua: a hon angkawmsan peuhmahte tuh na hihmangta ahi.
28But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord Jehovah, that I may declare all thy works.
