¹{A Psalm of Asaph.} O God, the nations are come into thine inheritance: thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps.

¹Pathian aw, nam chih na gouluah dingah a lut ua; na biakin siangthou hihnin ua; Jerusalem suang chim a vum uhi.

²The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowl of the heavens, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth:

²Na sikhate luang tuh tungleng vasate an dingin a pia ua, na mi siangthoute sa tuh gamsate kiangah a pia ua.

³Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem, and there was none to bury [them].

³A sisan uh Jerusalem kimah tui bangin a sung bua ua; amau vui ding lah kuamah a om ngal kei ua.

⁴We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a mockery and a derision to them that are round about us.

⁴I kim ua mite gensiatin I na om ua, I kiangnai khawnga mite muhsit leh nuihsatin I naom ta uhi.

⁵How long, O Jehovah? wilt thou be angry for ever? Shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

⁵TOUPA aw, bangtan ahia na heh nilouhlouh ding? Na mullitna tuh mei bangin a kuang ding ahia?

⁶Pour out thy fury upon the nations that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon thy name:

⁶Nangmah theilou nam chih tungah na hehna sung buain, na min kou gam tungahte khawng leng.

⁷For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his habitation.

⁷Jakobte tuh a ne khin ua; a omna uh a hihgamta ngal ua.

⁸Remember not against us the iniquities of [our] forefathers; let thy tender mercies speedily come to meet us: for we are brought very low.

⁸Ka pipute uh thulimlouhnate ka lak uah theigige ken: na lainatnain honnadon pah hen. Nakpitaka hihniamin ka omta ngal ua.

⁹Help us, O God of our salvation, because of the glory of thy name; and deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake.

⁹Honhondampa Pathian aw, na min thupina dingin honpanpih inla; na min jiakin honbumbit inla, ka khelhnate uh sil siangin.

¹⁰Wherefore should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants that is shed be known among the nations in our sight.

¹⁰Bangachia nam chihin, A Pathian uh koia om ahia leh? Na sikhate sisan pawt phulakna ka mitmuh un nam chih lakah theih hi hen.

¹¹Let the groaning of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thine arm, preserve those that are appointed to die;

¹¹Henta thumna na maah tung hen: na thilhihtheihna thupidan bang jelin si dinga sehte tuh humbit inla:

¹²And render unto our neighbours, sevenfold into their bosom, their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

¹²TOUPA aw, nang a hon gensiatna uh, ka kiangnai uate tungah aleh sagih veiin thuk in.Huchiin, kou na mite, na gan tatna muna belamten, khantawnin kipahthu ka honhilh ding uhi: suan tengteng tanin nangmah phatna tuh ka theisak jel ding uhi.

¹³And we, thy people and the sheep of thy pasture, will give thanks unto thee for ever; we will shew forth thy praise from generation to generation.
