1{To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.
1Israelte chingpa, Belam pawl banga Josephte pipa, bil na doh in: nang cherubte tunga tu, hongvak khia in.
2Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance.
2Ephraimte leh Benjaminte leh Manasite mitmuhin na hatna tokthou inla, honhondam dingin hongpai in.
3O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
3Pathian aw, honkihei sak nawn inla; na mel hihvak in, huchiinhotdamin ka om ding uhi.
4Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
4TOUPA aw, sepaihte Pathian, bangtan ahia na mite thumna tunga na heh ding?
5Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:
5Amaute khitui-tanghouin na vaka, khitui dawn dingin tehna lian takin na pe jel hi.
6Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves.
6Nang ka kim ua mite adingin kinakna din non bawl naka: ka melmate uh a nui chiat nak uhi.
7Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
7Sepaihte Pathian aw, honkihei sak nawn inla: na mel hihvak in, huchin hotdamin ka om ding uhi.
8Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:
8Aigupta gam akipan grep gui na honla a: nam chih na delh khiaa, na suanta hi.
9Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;
9A ma na hih siang jela, thutakin zung a kaia, gam tuh a luah vek hi.
10The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were [like] cedars of ùGod;
10Tangte a lim tuamin a om chiat, ahiangte Pathian sidar singte bang hial ahi.
11It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river.

12Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?
12Bangachia a huangte hihsia na hia? Lampi a pai peuhmahin a sat kheta uhi.
13The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it.
13Gamnuaia ngalin a hihsia a, gamsaten leng a ne uhi.
14O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine;
14Sepaihte Pathian aw, hehpih takin kihei nawnin; van akipanin honensuk inla, hiai grep gui en inla, hongveh in.
15Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself.
15A kung na khut taklamin a suan leh, ahiang nang dia na khauhsak toh.
16It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
16Mei ah a kangta, phukin a omta: na mela salhna jiakin a mangthang jel hi.
17Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
17Na taklama mi tungah na khut om hen, mihing tapa nang dia na hihhat tungah.
18So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
