1{A Prayer of Moses, the man of God.} Lord, *thou* hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.
2Before the mountains were brought forth, and thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from eternity to eternity thou art ùGod.
3Thou makest [mortal] man to return to dust, and sayest, Return, children of men.
3Nang mihing tuh manthatna ah na kiksaka; Mihingtate aw, kik un, na chi jel hi.
4For a thousand years, in thy sight, are as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.
4Nang sehin kum sang khat tuh janmangta bang phet ahi ngala, jan ven khat sung bang phet ahi.
5Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are [as] a sleep: in the morning they are like grass [that] groweth up:
5Amau tuh tui lian bangin na taimang a; khang khat ihmu bang phet ahi uh: jingsanga loupa dawn khia bang ahi uh.
6In the morning it flourisheth and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down and withereth.
6Jingsangin a hongpouin a hongdawn khiaa; nitaklamin phukin a oma, a vuai hi.
7For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy fury are we troubled.
7Na hehna a hihmanin ka om ua, na thangpaihna a hihmangbata leng ka om jiak un.
8Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.
9For all our days pass away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a [passing] thought.
10The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if, by reason of strength, they be fourscore years, yet their pride is labour and vanity, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
10Ka damsung kumte uh kum sawmsagih a hi-a, hatna jiakin kum sawmgiat leng ahi thei hi; himahleh a sawtna tuh sepgimna leh lungngaihna lel a hi-a; a mang paha, kou leng ka leng mang jel uhi.
11Who knoweth the power of thine anger? and thy wrath according to the fear of thee?
11Kuan ahia na hehna thilhihtheihdan theia, nangmah kihtak dingdan banga na hehna theilou?
12So teach [us] to number our days, that we may acquire a wise heart.
12Ka damsung nite uh simdan honhilhin, pilna lungtang ka neih loh hialna ding un.
13Return, Jehovah: how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
13TOUPA aw, hong kik nawnin; bangtan ahia na heh ding? Na sikhate tungthuah na lungsim kihei sakin.
14Satisfy us early with thy loving-kindness; that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
15Make us glad according to the days [wherein] thou hast afflicted us, according to the years [wherein] we have seen evil.
16Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy majesty unto their sons.
16Na nasep tuh na sikhate kiangah kithei henla, na thupina tuh a tate kiang uah kithei hen.Huan, TOUPA ka Pathian uh kilawmna tuh ka tunguah om hen: ka khut nasep uh ka tunguah leng hihkipin; ahi, ka khut nasep uh hihkipin.
17And let the beauty of Jehovah our God be upon us; and establish thou the work of our hands upon us: yea, the work of our hands, establish thou it.
17Huan, TOUPA ka Pathian uh kilawmna tuh ka tunguah om hen: ka khut nasep uh ka tunguah leng hihkipin; ahi, ka khut nasep uh hihkipin.
