¹Give ye thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; make known his acts among the peoples.

¹ خداوند را شکر کنید و عظمت او را بیان نمایید. کارهایی را که انجام داده است، به جهانیان اعلام نمایید.

²Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him; meditate upon all his wondrous works.

² برای او سرود حمد بسرایید و کارهای عظیم او را به مردم بگویید.

³Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.

³ جلال بر نام مقدّس او باد! شادمان باد دلهای کسانی‌که خداوند را می‌جویند!

⁴Seek Jehovah and his strength, seek his face continually;

⁴ از خدا کمک بطلبید و همیشه او را بپرستید.

⁵Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles and the judgments of his mouth:

⁵ ای فرزندانِ بندهٔ او ابراهیم، و ای فرزندان یعقوب، برگزیدهٔ او، معجزات و داوریهای خدا را به‌ یاد آورید.

⁶Ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.

⁶ خداوند، خدای ماست. او همهٔ زمین را داوری می‌کند.

⁷He, Jehovah, is our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

⁷ او پیمان خود را تا به ابد نگاه خواهد داشت، کلامی را که فرمان داد، برای هزار نسل.

⁸He is ever mindful of his covenant, -- the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, --

⁸ پیمانی را که با ابراهیم بست، وسوگندی را که با اسحاق یاد کرد، حفظ خواهد نمود.

⁹Which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

⁹ عهدی با یعقوب بست، پیمانی جاودانه با اسرائیل.

¹⁰And he confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, unto Israel for an everlasting covenant,

¹⁰ خداوند فرمود: «سرزمین کنعان را به عنوان ملکیّت به شما می‌بخشم.»

¹¹Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

¹¹ وقتی تعداد آنها کم بود و در سرزمین کنعان غریب

¹²When they were a few men in number, of small account, and strangers in it.

¹² و در کشورها و سلطنت‌ها سرگردان بودند،

¹³And they went from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.

¹³ خداوند به هیچ‌کس اجازه نداد که به آنها آزاری برساند و برای پشتیبانی آنها به پادشاهان هشدار داد

¹⁴He suffered no man to oppress them, and reproved kings for their sakes,

¹⁴ و فرمود: «به برگزیدگان من ظلم نکنید و به انبیای من ضرر نرسانید.»

¹⁵[Saying,] Touch not mine anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.

¹⁵ وقتی‌که خداوند قحطی در کشور پدید آورد و هیچ چیزی برای خوردن پیدا نمی‌شد،

¹⁶And he called for a famine upon the land; he broke the whole staff of bread.

¹⁶ یوسف را پیشتر از آنها به مصر فرستاد، که به عنوان غلام فروخته شد.

¹⁷He sent a man before them: Joseph was sold for a bondman.

¹⁷ پاهای او را با زنجیر بستند و یوغ آهنین بر گردنش گذاشتند.

¹⁸They afflicted his feet with fetters; his soul came into irons;

¹⁸ تا زمانی که گفته‌های او به حقیقت پیوست و کلام خداوند سخن او را تأیید کرد.

¹⁹Until the time when what he said came about: the word of Jehovah tried him.

¹⁹ پس فرعون او را آزاد کرد و فرماندار مردم او را رها نمود.

²⁰The king sent and loosed him -- the ruler of peoples -- and let him go free.

²⁰ سپس او را بر کاخ خود حاکم ساخت و او را فرماندار تمام سرزمین خود نمود،

²¹He made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his possessions:

²¹ تا تمام بزرگان مملکت را تحت فرمان خود درآوَرَد و رهبران قوم را تعلیم دهد.

²²To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.

²² سپس یعقوب به مصر آمد و به عنوان بیگانه در آنجا ساکن شد.

²³And Israel came into Egypt, and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

²³ خداوند در آنجا فرزندان زیادی به آنها داد و آنها را از دشمنانشان قویتر ساخت.

²⁴And he made his people exceeding fruitful, and made them mightier than their oppressors.

²⁴ خداوند کاری کرد که مردم مصر از قوم اسرائیل متنفّر شدند و با آنها با حیله رفتار کردند.

²⁵He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

²⁵ سپس خدا موسی خادم خود و هارون برگزیدهٔ خویش را فرستاد.

²⁶He sent Moses his servant, [and] Aaron whom he had chosen:

²⁶ آنها قدرت خداوند را با انجام معجزات در سرزمین مصر نشان دادند.

²⁷They set his signs among them, and miracles in the land of Ham.

²⁷ خدا تاریکی بر آن سرزمین فرستاد، امّا مصریان امر او را اطاعت نکردند.

²⁸He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

²⁸ رودخانه‏های آنها را به خون تبدیل کرد و همهٔ ماهیان آنها را کشت.

²⁹He turned their waters into blood, and caused their fish to die.

²⁹ بعد قورباغه‏ها به آن سرزمین هجوم آوردند و حتّی کاخ سلطنتی هم پُر از قورباغه شد.

³⁰Their land swarmed with frogs, -- in the chambers of their kings.

³⁰ به امر خداوند انواع مگس و پشه سراسر آن سرزمین را پُر ساخت.

³¹He spoke, and there came dog-flies, [and] gnats in all their borders.

³¹ به جای باران، تگرگ و رعد و برق را به سرزمینشان فرستاد.

³²He gave them hail for rain, [and] flaming fire in their land;

³² تاکستانها و درختان انجیر و درختان آنها را از بین برد.

³³And he smote their vines and their fig-trees, and broke the trees of their borders.

³³ به فرمان او، میلیونها ملخ حمله‌ور شدند،

³⁴He spoke, and the locust came, and the cankerworm, even without number;

³⁴ و همهٔ نباتات و غلاّت آنجا را خوردند.

³⁵And they devoured every herb in their land, and ate up the fruit of their ground.

³⁵ او تمام نخستزادگان مصریان را به قتل رسانید.

³⁶And he smote every firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their vigour.

³⁶ آنگاه قوم اسرائیل را که همگی سالم و نیرومند بودند، با نقره و طلا از مصر خارج کرد.

³⁷And he brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was not one feeble among their tribes.

³⁷ چون مردم مصر از آنها می‌ترسیدند، از رفتن ایشان خوشحال شدند.

³⁸Egypt rejoiced at their departure; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.

³⁸ خدا به هنگام روز ابر را سایبان آنها ساخت و هنگام شب با ستون آتش به آنها روشنایی می‌بخشید.

³⁹He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light in the night.

³⁹ آنها از او تقاضا کردند و او به آنها بلدرچین داد و برایشان غذای فراوان از آسمان فرستاد تا سیر شوند.

⁴⁰They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

⁴⁰ صخره را شکافت و از آن آب گوارا فوران کرد و مثل رودخانه در صحرای خشک جاری شد.

⁴¹He opened the rock, and waters gushed forth; they ran in the dry places [like] a river.

⁴¹ زیرا پیمان مقدّس خود را با ابراهیم به یاد آورد.

⁴²For he remembered his holy word, [and] Abraham his servant;

⁴² به این ترتیب قوم برگزیدهٔ خود را با سرود شادمانی از مصر بیرون آورد.

⁴³And he brought forth his people with gladness, his chosen with rejoicing;

⁴³ او سرزمین اقوام دیگر را با تمام محصولاتش به آنها داد تا احکام او را بجا آورند و قوانین او را اطاعت نمایند. خداوند را سپاس باد!

⁴⁴And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:

⁴⁴ تا احکام او را بجا آورند و قوانین او را اطاعت نمایند. خداوند را سپاس باد!

⁴⁵That they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Hallelujah!
