¹Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.

¹ خداوند را سپاس بگویید، زیرا که نیكوست و محبّت او پایدار و ابدی است.

²Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the oppressor,

² آنانی که به وسیلهٔ خداوند نجات یافته‌اند بگویند، که خداوند آنان را از دست دشمنانشان رهایی داده است

³And gathered out of the countries, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.

³ و آنان را از شرق و غرب، از شمال و جنوب، از سرزمینهای بیگانه بازگردانیده است.

⁴They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way, they found no city of habitation;

⁴ بعضی‌ها در بیابان آواره و سرگردان بودند و شهری نداشتند تا در آن سکونت نمایند.

⁵Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them:

⁵ گرسنه و تشنه بودند و جانشان به لبشان رسیده بود.

⁶Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he delivered them out of their distresses,

⁶ در آن تنگنا، نزد خداوند فریاد کردند، و او آنها را از پریشانی نجات داد.

⁷And he led them forth by a right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

⁷ سپس آنها را از راهی مستقیم به شهری هدایت کرد که بتوانند در آن ساکن گردند.

⁸Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;

⁸ آنها باید از خداوند به‌خاطر محبّت پایدار و کارهای فوق‌العاده‌ای که برای انسان انجام داد شکرگزار باشند.

⁹For he hath satisfied the longing soul and filled the hungry soul with good.

⁹ او تشنگان را سیراب می‌کند و گرسنگان را با خوراکهای نیکو سیر می‌گرداند.

¹⁰Such as inhabit darkness and the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron,

¹⁰ برخی در تاریکی و ظلمت، در زندان، در غُل و زنجیر به سر می‌برند.

¹¹Because they had rebelled against the words of ùGod, and had despised the counsel of the Most High; ...

¹¹ زیرا از کلام خدا سرپیچی کردند و احکام خدای قادر متعال را بجا نیاوردند.

¹²And he bowed down their heart with labour; they stumbled, and there was none to help:

¹² زیر بار کار و زحمت، پشت آنها خم شده، از پای افتاده بودند و کسی به کمكشان نرسید.

¹³Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saved them out of their distresses;

¹³ در آن تنگنا، نزد خداوند فریاد کردند و او آنها را از پریشانی نجات داد.

¹⁴He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.

¹⁴ آنان را از تاریکی و ظلمت بیرون آورد و از غُل و زنجیر اسارت آزاد کرد.

¹⁵Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;

¹⁵ آنها باید از خداوند به‌خاطر محبّت پایدار و کارهای فوق‌العاده‌ای که برای انسان انجام داد شکرگزار باشند.

¹⁶For he hath broken the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron.

¹⁶ زیرا او دروازه‌های برنزی و میله‏های آهنین را درهم شکسته است.

¹⁷Fools, because of their way of transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted;

¹⁷ بعضی به‌خاطر روش گناه‌آلود خود رنج می‌کشیدند و به سبب شرارتهای خویش در عذاب بودند.

¹⁸Their soul abhorreth all manner of food, and they draw near unto the gates of death:

¹⁸ اشتهای خود را از دست داده و پایشان به لب گور رسیده بود.

¹⁹Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, [and] he saveth them out of their distresses;

¹⁹ در آن تنگنا، نزد خداوند فریاد کردند و او آنها را از پریشانی نجات داد.

²⁰He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their destructions.

²⁰ او با کلامش آنها را شفا داده از مرگ رهانید.

²¹Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men,

²¹ پس آنها باید خداوند را به‌خاطر محبّت پایدارش و کارهای فوق‌العاده‌ای که برای انسان انجام داده شکر کنند.

²²And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works in joyful song.

²² برایش قربانی تشکّر تقدیم کنند و با سرودهای شاد، کارهای او را بیان نمایند!

²³They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,

²³ بعضی با کشتی به دریا رفته، به تجارت مشغول شدند.

²⁴These see the works of Jehovah, and his wonders in the deep.

²⁴ آنها کارهای خداوند و کارهای عجیب او را در عمق دریاها مشاهده کردند.

²⁵For he speaketh, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof:

²⁵ به فرمان او بادی شدید برخاست و امواج دریا را متلاطم ساخت.

²⁶They mount up to the heavens, they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble;

²⁶ کشتی‌ها گاهی به هوا پرتاب می‌شدند و گاهی به اعماق آب فرو می‌رفتند و سرنشینان آنها از ترس، نیمه‌جان شده بودند.

²⁷They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and they are at their wits' end:

²⁷ مانند مستان تلو‌تلو می‌خوردند و عقل خود را از دست داده بودند.

²⁸Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses;

²⁸ در آن تنگنا، نزد خداوند فریاد کردند و او آنها را از پریشانی نجات داد.

²⁹He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still:

²⁹ توفان را آرام کرد و امواج دریا ساکت شد.

³⁰And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

³⁰ آنها از آرامی خوشحال شدند و خداوند آنها را به بندر مقصود رسانید.

³¹Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men;

³¹ آنها باید خداوند را به‌خاطر محبّت پایدار و کارهای فوق‌العاده‌ای که برای انسان انجام داده، شکر کنند.

³²Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.

³² عظمت و جلال او را در میان مردم بیان کنند و او را در حضور رهبران ستایش نمایند.

³³He maketh rivers into a wilderness, and water-springs into dry ground;

³³ خداوند رودخانه‌ها را به بیابان تبدیل می‌کند و چشمه‌های آب را خشک می‌سازد.

³⁴A fruitful land into a plain of salt, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

³⁴ زمینهای حاصلخیز را به‌خاطر ساکنان شریر آن به شوره‌زار مبدّل می‌نماید.

³⁵He maketh the wilderness into a pool of water, and the dry land into water-springs;

³⁵ بیابانها را به برکه‌های آب، و زمینهای خشک را به چشمه‌سار تبدیل می‌کند.

³⁶And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;

³⁶ مردمان گرسنه را در آنجا ساکن می‌سازد تا برای خود شهری بسازند.

³⁷And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase;

³⁷ در آنجا به زراعت می‌پردازند و تاکستان غرس می‌کنند و حاصل آن را برمی‌چینند.

³⁸And he blesseth them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

³⁸ قوم خود را برکت داد و فرزندان آنان را بسیار ساخت و نگذاشت که گلّه‏ها و رمه‏های ایشان کم شوند.

³⁹And they are diminished and brought low, through oppression, adversity, and sorrow:

³⁹ چون قوم خدا، توسط ظلم و ستم دشمنان شکست می‌خوردند و به آنها توهین می‌شد،

⁴⁰He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;

⁴⁰ خداوند رهبران ظالم را خوار و ذلیل و در ویرانه‏ها آواره ساخت.

⁴¹But he secureth the needy one on high from affliction, and maketh [him] families like flocks.

⁴¹ امّا نیازمندان را از رنج رهانید و تعداد خانواده‌هایشان را مانند گلّه‏ها زیاد کرد.

⁴²The upright shall see it, and rejoice; and all unrighteousness shall stop its mouth.

⁴² مردمان نیك، اینها را می‌بینند و خوشحال می‌شوند، امّا شریران خاموش می‌گردند. خردمندان به اینها دقّت کنند و محبّت پایدار خداوند را به یاد داشته باشند.

⁴³Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them understand the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah.

⁴³ خردمندان به اینها دقّت کنند و محبّت پایدار خداوند را به یاد داشته باشند.
