¹{[A Psalm] of David.} I will give thee thanks with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing psalms of thee.

¹ خداوندا، از صمیم قلب تو را ستایش می‌کنم، در حضور خدایان برای تو سرود شکرگزاری می‌خوانم.

²I will bow down toward the temple of thy holiness, and celebrate thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

² سر تعظیم به درگاه مقدّس تو فرود می‌آورم و نام تو را به‌خاطر محبّت پایدار و وفاداری تو ستایش می‌کنم. چون نام تو و فرمایشات تو از هر چیز بالاتر است.

³In the day when I called thou answeredst me; thou didst encourage me with strength in my soul.

³ هنگامی‌که دعا کردم، دعایم را مستجاب کردی و با قدرت خود مرا تقویت نمودی.

⁴All the kings of the earth shall celebrate thee, Jehovah, when they have heard the words of thy mouth;

⁴ خداوندا، همهٔ پادشاهان جهان تو را ستایش خواهند نمود، زیرا کلام تو را شنیده‌اند.

⁵And they shall sing in the ways of Jehovah, for great is the glory of Jehovah.

⁵ آنها به‌خاطر آنچه که کرده‌ای و به جهت شکوه عظمت تو، سرود خواهند خواند.

⁶For Jehovah is high; but he looketh upon the lowly, and the proud he knoweth afar off.

⁶ خداوند، با وجود عظمت و جلالی که دارد، به فروتنان توجّه دارد، امّا اشخاص متکبّر را از دور می‌شناسد.

⁷Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the anger of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

⁷ هنگامی‌که در سختی و مشکلات گرفتارم، تو مرا از همهٔ آنها می‌رهانی. تو در مقابل دشمنان خشمگین من می‌ایستی و با دست توانای خود مرا نجات می‌دهی. خداوند به وعده‌هایی که به من داده است، وفا خواهد كرد. خداوندا، محبّت پایدار تو ابدی است. کارهایی را که شروع کرده‌ای تمام کن.

⁸Jehovah will perfect what concerneth me: thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, [endureth] for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.

⁸ خداوند به وعده‌هایی که به من داده است، وفا خواهد كرد. خداوندا، محبّت پایدار تو ابدی است. کارهایی را که شروع کرده‌ای تمام کن.
