¹{A Song; a Psalm of Asaph.} O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O ùGod:

¹ خدایا، خاموش مباش، و آرام و ساکت منشین،

²For behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.

² زیرا دشمنان تو دست به شورش زده‌اند، و کسانی‌که از تو نفرت دارند، مغرور و سرکش شده‌اند.

³They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:

³ مخفیانه برضد قوم تو نقشه می‌کشند، و برای آنهایی که به تو پناه آورده‌اند، دسیسه می‌چینند.

⁴They say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.

⁴ می‌گویند: «بیایید آنها را از بین ببریم تا نام اسرائیل از صفحهٔ روزگار محو گردد.»

⁵For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.

⁵ آنها همه همدست شده‌اند و برضد تو توطئه کرده و با هم پیمان بسته‌اند.

⁶The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;

⁶ اینها اَدومیان، اسماعیلیان، موآبیان، هاجریان،

⁷Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;

⁷ مردم جَبال، عمونیان، عمالیقیان، فلسطینیان و ساکنان صور هستند.

⁸Asshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. Selah.

⁸ مردم آشور نیز با آنها متّحد گشته، بازوی قدرتمندی برای عمونیان و موآبیان که از نسل لوط هستند شده‌اند.

⁹Do unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:

⁹ همان کاری را که با مدیان کردی، با این مردم هم بکن و همان بلایی را که بر سر سیسرا و یابین در وادی قیشون آوردی، بر سر اینها نیز بیاور.

¹⁰Who were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.

¹⁰ تو آنها را در عین‌دور هلاک کردی و اجسادشان در روی خاک پوسید.

¹¹Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.

¹¹ رهبران آنها را به سرنوشت غراب و ذِئِب گرفتار کن و حاکمان آنها را مانند ذِبح و صَلمُناع سرکوب بساز،

¹²For they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.

¹² زیرا که گفتند: «سرزمینی را که متعلّق به خداست برای خودمان تسخیر می‌کنیم.»

¹³O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.

¹³ خدایا، آنها را مانند غبار پراکنده کن و مانند کاه بر باد ده.

¹⁴As fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,

¹⁴ همچون آتش که جنگل را می‌سوزاند و مانند شعله‌ای که کوهها را به آتش می‌کشد،

¹⁵So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.

¹⁵ آنها را با تُندبادِ خشم خود بران، و با توفان غضبت آشفته و پریشان گردان.

¹⁶Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.

¹⁶ خداوندا، چهرهٔ آنها را شرمنده گردان تا به قدرت تو پی ببرند.

¹⁷Let them be put to shame and be dismayed for ever, and let them be confounded and perish:

¹⁷ برای همیشه رسوا و پریشان گردند و در خواری و ذلّت هلاک شوند و بدانند که تو خداوند یکتا و یگانه، و حکمفرمای مطلق کاینات هستی.

¹⁸That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth.

¹⁸ و بدانند که تو خداوند یکتا و یگانه، و حکمفرمای مطلق کاینات هستی.
