¹{A Prayer of David.} Incline thine ear, Jehovah, answer me; for I am afflicted and needy.

¹ خدایا، به من گوش بده و دعایم را مستجاب فرما، زیرا ضعیف و بی‌یاورم.

²Keep my soul, for I am godly; O thou my God, save thy servant who confideth in thee.

² مرا از مرگ نجات بده، زیرا که من بندهٔ وفادار تو هستم، مرا نجات بده چون من خدمتگزار تو هستم و بر تو توکّل دارم.

³Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee do I call all the day.

³ تو خدای من هستی، بر من رحمت فرما، زیرا که تمام روز نزد تو دعا می‌کنم.

⁴Rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, Lord, do I lift up my soul.

⁴ خداوندا، بندهٔ خود را شادمان گردان، زیرا که به درگاه تو دعا می‌کنم.

⁵For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, and art of great loving-kindness unto all that call upon thee.

⁵ تو خدای مهربان و بخشنده هستی و به کسانی‌که به تو روی می‌آورند، بسیار رحیم هستی.

⁶Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.

⁶ خداوندا، دعای مرا بشنو و به نالهٔ من توجّه نما.

⁷In the day of my distress I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

⁷ هنگام سختی به حضور تو دعا می‌کنم، زیرا که تو دعایم را مستجاب می‌کنی.

⁸Among the gods there is none like unto thee, Lord, and there is nothing like unto thy works.

⁸ خداوندا، خدای دیگری جز تو وجود ندارد، هیچ‌کس نمی‌‌تواند كارهایی را که تو می‌کنی، انجام دهد.

⁹All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name.

⁹ تمام اقوامی که تو آفریده‌ای می‌آیند و در حضور تو سر سجده بر زمین می‌گذارند و بزرگی تو را ستایش می‌کنند،

¹⁰For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God, thou alone.

¹⁰ زیرا قادر هستی و کارهای فوق‌العاده انجام می‌دهی، تنها تو خدا هستی.

¹¹Teach me thy way, Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

¹¹ ارادهٔ خود را به من بیاموز، من با وفاداری از تو اطاعت خواهم کرد. مرا یاری کن تا با تمام دل و جان تو را خدمت کنم.

¹²I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

¹² ای خداوند، خدای من، از صمیم قلب از تو سپاسگزارم و بزرگی تو را همیشه بیان خواهم کرد.

¹³For great is thy loving-kindness toward me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

¹³ محبّت پایدار تو چقدر برای من عظیم است، تو مرا از مرگ نجات داده‏ای.

¹⁴O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assembly of the violent seek after my soul, and they have not set thee before them.

¹⁴ خدایا، مردمان متکبّر علیه من برخاسته‌اند و گروه خیانتکاران قصد کشتن مرا دارند و از تو باكی ندارند.

¹⁵But thou, Lord, art a ùGod merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth.

¹⁵ امّا تو ای خداوند، خدای رحیم و مهربان هستی. همیشه صبور و پیوسته وفادار و پُر از لطف می‌باشی.

¹⁶Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

¹⁶ پس به بندهٔ خود توجّه کن و بر من رحم فرما، به من قوّت عطا کن و فرزند کنیزت را نجات بده. نیکی و رحمت خود را به من نشان بده مرا یاری کن و تسلّی ببخش تا کسانی‌که از من نفرت دارند، شرمنده گردند.

¹⁷Shew me a token for good, that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed; for thou, Jehovah, hast helped me and comforted me.

¹⁷ نیکی و رحمت خود را به من نشان بده مرا یاری کن و تسلّی ببخش تا کسانی‌که از من نفرت دارند، شرمنده گردند.
