¹{Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm. A Song.} His foundation is in the mountains of holiness.

¹ خداوند شهر خود را بر کوه مقدّس بنا کرد.

²Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion more than all the habitations of Jacob.

² شهر اورشلیم را زیادتر از تمام شهرهای اسرائیل دوست دارد.

³Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

³ ای شهر خدا، به چیزهای عالی که او دربارهٔ تو می‌گوید گوش کن.

⁴I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon among them that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: this [man] was born there.

⁴ مصر و بابل جزو ممالکی هستند که مرا می‌شناسند و مردمان فلسطین، صور و حبشه را جزو ساکنان اورشلیم به حساب می‌آورم.

⁵And of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her.

⁵ دربارهٔ صهیون گفته می‌شود که تمام اقوام جهان به آن تعلّق دارند و خدای قادر مطلق آن را نیرومند می‌گرداند.

⁶Jehovah will count, when he inscribeth the peoples, This [man] was born there. Selah.

⁶ خداوند آمار تمام مردم را تهیّه می‌کند و همهٔ آنها را اهل اورشلیم می‌شمارد. آنها رقص‌کنان می‌خوانند و می‌گویند که صهیون سرچشمهٔ همهٔ برکات است.

⁷As well the singers as the dancers [shall say], All my springs are in thee.
