¹He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

¹ کسی‌که به خدا پناه می‌برد و در زیر سایهٔ رحمت قادر متعال زندگی می‌کند،

²I say of Jehovah, My refuge and my fortress; my God, I will confide in him.

² به خداوند می‌گوید: «تو پناهگاه و نگه‌دار من هستی، خدای من که بر تو توکّل دارم.»

³Surely *he* shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the destructive pestilence.

³ او تو را از دام خطر نجات می‌دهد، و از بلاهای کشنده محافظت می‌کند.

⁴He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou find refuge: his truth is a shield and buckler.

⁴ او تو را در زیر بالهای خود پناه خواهد داد و از تو محافظت خواهد نمود. وفاداری او حافظ و پشتیبان تو خواهد بود.

⁵Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, for the arrow that flieth by day,

⁵ از خطرات هنگام شب و یا از بلای ناگهانی در روز نخواهی ترسید.

⁶For the pestilence that walketh in darkness, for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

⁶ از طاعونی که در تاریکی پیش می‌رود، و یا از وبایی که به هنگام روز کشتار می‌کند، هراسی نخواهی داشت.

⁷A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.

⁷ اگر هزار نفر در کنار تو کشته شوند و ده هزار نفر در اطراف تو بیفتند، به تو آسیبی نخواهد رسید.

⁸Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the reward of the wicked.

⁸ به چشم خود خواهی دید که مردم شریر چگونه مجازات می‌شوند.

⁹Because *thou* hast made Jehovah, my refuge, the Most High, thy dwelling-place,

⁹ تو خداوند را پناه خود ساختی، و قادر متعال را پشتیبان خود خواندی.

¹⁰There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.

¹⁰ بنابراین هیچ بلایی بر تو واقع نخواهد گشت و هیچ بدی به خانهٔ تو نزدیک نخواهد شد.

¹¹For he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to keep thee in all thy ways:

¹¹ زیرا او به فرشتگان خود فرمان خواهد داد، تا هرجایی که تو بروی، از تو مراقبت نمایند.

¹²They shall bear thee up in [their] hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

¹² آنان تو را با دستهای خود خواهند گرفت، مبادا پایت به سنگی بخورد.

¹³Thou shalt tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under foot.

¹³ شیر ژیان و مار سمّی را در زیر پای خود لگدمال خواهی کرد.

¹⁴Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

¹⁴ زیرا خداوند می‌گوید: «آنانی که مرا دوست می‌دارند، نجات خواهم داد؛ و چون به نام من ایمان دارند از آنها پشتیبانی خواهم كرد.

¹⁵He shall call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

¹⁵ وقتی دعا کنند، دعایشان را مستجاب خواهم کرد؛ وقتی دچار مشکلات شوند با آنان خواهم بود، آنان را رهایی داده، سرافراز خواهم ساخت. به آنان عمر طولانی می‌بخشم و آنها را نجات خواهم داد.»

¹⁶With length of days will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

¹⁶ به آنان عمر طولانی می‌بخشم و آنها را نجات خواهم داد.»
