1And these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
1Vtedy prestali tí traja mužovia odpovedať Jobovi, pretože bol spravedlivý vo svojich očiach.
2Then was kindled the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his anger kindled, because he justified himself rather than God;
2Ale tu sa rozpálil hnev Elíhuva, syna Barachéla, Buzitu, z čeľade Rám-ov, na Joba sa rozpálil jeho hnev, pretože ospravedlňoval svoju dušu skôr než Boha.
3and against his three friends was his anger kindled, because they found no answer, and [yet] condemned Job.
3I na jeho troch priateľov sa rozpálil jeho hnev, pretože nenašli odpovedi a odsudzovali Joba.
4But Elihu had waited till Job had finished speaking, because they were older than he.
4A Elíhu čakal na Joba i na jeho priateľov slovami, pretože boli starší vekom než on.
5And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.
5A vidiac Elíhu, že niet odpovedi v ústach tých troch mužov, rozpálil sa jeho hnev.
6And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are aged; wherefore I was timid, and feared to shew you what I know.
6A tak odpovedal Elíhu, syn Barachéla, Buzitu, a riekol: Ja som mladý vekom, a vy ste starci, preto som sa ostýchal a bál som sa vysloviť s vami to, čo viem,
7I said, Let days speak, and multitude of years teach wisdom.
7a povedal som: Nech hovorí vek a množstvo rokov, tí nech dajú znať múdrosť.
8But there is a spirit which is in man; and the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
8Ale vidím, že je ona Duch Boží v smrteľnom človekovi, a dych Všemohúceho je to, ktorý robí ľudí rozumnými.
9It is not the great that are wise; neither do the aged understand judgment.
9Nie sú vždy veľkí múdri, ani starci nerozumejú vždycky súdu.
10Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will shew what I know.
10Preto hovorím: Nože počuj mňa, nech i ja poviem, čo viem!
11Lo, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasonings, until ye searched out what to say.
11Hľa, čakal som na vaše slová; počúval som až na vašu umnosť, dokiaľ nevyzkúmate slov.
12Yea, I gave you mine attention, and behold, there was none of you that confuted Job, that answered his words;
12A bedlivo som vás pozoroval, a hľa, nie je toho, kto by pokarhal Joba, kto by z vás odpovedal na jeho reči.
13That ye may not say, We have found out wisdom; ùGod will make him yield, not man.
13Aby ste nepovedali: Našli sme múdrosť: Silný Bôh ho bude stíhať, nie človek!
14Now he hath not directed [his] words against me; and I will not answer him with your speeches. ...
14Ale Job neobrátil proti mne reči, ale ani mu neodpoviem vašimi slovami.
15They were amazed, they answered no more; words failed them.
15Zľakli sa; neodpovedajú viacej; pošly im slová.
16And I waited, for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered no more; --
16A či budem azda čakať, keď nehovoria, keď stoja, neodpovedajú viacej?
17I will answer, I also in my turn, I also will shew what I know:
17Odpoviem i ja svoj diel; poviem i ja to, čo viem.
18For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
18Lebo som plný slov; soviera ma duch môjho lona.
19Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; like new flasks, it is ready to burst.
19Hľa, moja hruď je ako víno, ktoré nemá prieduchu, jako nové kožice, ide sa rozpuknúť.
20I will speak, that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.
20Budem hovoriť, a uvoľní sa mi; otvorím svoje rty a budem odpovedať.
21Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person; neither will I give flattery to man.
21Nebudem hľadieť na ničiu osobu ani nebudem pochlebovať človekovi.
22For I know not how to flatter; my Maker would soon take me away.
22Lebo neviem pochlebovať. Rýchle by ma vychvátil ten, ktorý ma učinil!
