1But I have judged this with myself, not to come back to you in grief.
1 Amma ay na saawaro wo tabbatandi ay bina ra: ay si ye ka kaa araŋ do da bine saray.
2For if *I* grieve you, who also [is] it that gladdens me, if not he that is grieved through me?
2 Zama nd'ay n'araŋ biney sara, may no g'ay farhandi, da manti bora kaŋ ay n'a bina sara?
3And I have written this very [letter] [to you], that coming I may not have grief from those from whom I ought to have joy; trusting in you all that my joy is [that] of you all.
3 Ay na hayey din hantum araŋ se mo, zama waati kaŋ ay ga kaa, ay ma si du bine saray borey do kaŋ yaŋ ga hima k'ay farhandi. Ay go ga naanay araŋ kulu gaa kaŋ ay farhã hari no ga ti araŋ kulu wane mo.
4For out of much tribulation and distress of heart I wrote to you, with many tears; not that ye may be grieved, but that ye may know the love which I have very abundantly towards you.
4 Zama ay hantum araŋ se za kankami booba da bine saray ra da mo-mundi boobo mo. Manti ay n'a te hal araŋ biney ma sara no bo, amma zama araŋ ma bay baakasinay beero gaa kaŋ ay gonda araŋ se.
5But if any one has grieved, he has grieved, not me, but in part (that I may not overcharge [you]) all of you.
5 Amma da boro fo na bine saray hari te, manti ay hinne se no a n'a te bo, amma araŋ bora kulu se no -- amma araŋ boro cindey biney mana sara gumo (ay ma si araŋ tiŋandi gumo).
6Sufficient to such a one [is] this rebuke which [has been inflicted] by the many;
6 Goojiyaŋo kaŋ araŋ borey baayaŋ te bora din se wasa a se.
7so that on the contrary ye should rather shew grace and encourage, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with excessive grief.
7 Sohõ kay a ga hima araŋ m'a yaafa, k'a bina gaabandi, hala bora din dumi ma si koy ka miri nga bine saray booba sabbay se.
8Wherefore I exhort you to assure him of [your] love.
8 Woodin sabbay se no ay g'araŋ ŋwaaray araŋ ma baakasinay tabbatandi a se.
9For to this end also I have written, that I might know, by putting you to the test, if as to everything ye are obedient.
9 Mafaaro kaŋ se ay hantum araŋ se ga ti: ay m'araŋ gosi ka di hal araŋ ga gana hay kulu ra.
10But to whom ye forgive anything, *I* also; for I also, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, [it is] for your sakes in [the] person of Christ;
10 Amma boro kaŋ se araŋ na hay fo yaafa, ay mo yaadin no. Haŋ kaŋ ay yaafa -- d'ay gonda hay fo kaŋ ay ga yaafa -- ay n'a te no araŋ sabbay se Almasihu jine,
11that we might not have Satan get an advantage against us, for we are not ignorant of *his* thoughts.
11 hala Saytan* ma si du daama iri boŋ. Zama iri ga bay hayey kaŋ yaŋ a ga sijiri gaa.
12Now when I came to Troas for the [publication of the] glad tidings of the Christ, a door also being opened to me in [the] Lord,
12 Waato kaŋ ay kaa Tarawasa Almasihu Baaru Hanna waazuyaŋo sabbay se, nango kaŋ Rabbi na fondo feeri ay se,
13I had no rest in my spirit at not finding Titus my brother; but bidding them adieu, I came away to Macedonia.
13 ay laakal mana kani, zama ay mana ay nya-izo Titos gar. Kal ay na noodin borey to baani ka gana ka koy Masidoniya.
14But thanks [be] to God, who always leads us in triumph in the Christ, and makes manifest the odour of his knowledge through us in every place.
14 Amma iri ma Irikoy saabu, nga kaŋ alwaati kulu a ga konda iri jina ka naŋ iri ma te zaama Almasihu ra. A ga nga bayra bangandi danga waddi haw nangu kulu ra iri do.
15For we are a sweet odour of Christ to God, in the saved and in those that perish:
15 Zama iri ya Almasihu waddi haw kaanoyaŋ no Irikoy se, borey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga du faaba nda borey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga halaci game ra.
16to the one an odour from death unto death, but to the others an odour from life unto life; and who [is] sufficient for these things?
16 Woone yaŋ se iri ga ciya buuyaŋ haw kaŋ ga kande buuyaŋ. Boro fey din se mo iri ga ciya fundi wane kaŋ ga fundi no. May binde no ga wasa hayey din se?
17For we do not, as the many, make a trade of the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as of God, before God, we speak in Christ.
17 Zama iri wo, iri siino ga Irikoy sanno diibi-diibi ka fatawci nd'a, sanda mate kaŋ cine boro boobo go ga te. Iri goono ga salaŋ da cimi kwaaray Almasihu ra Irikoy jine, mate kaŋ cine Irikoy n'iri donton d'a.
