Job

13

1Lo, mine eye hath seen all [this], mine ear hath heard and understood it.
1 Guna, woodin yaŋ kulu no ay moy di, Ay hanga maa ka faham mo.
2What ye know, I know also: I am not inferior to you.
2 Haŋ kaŋ araŋ bay, ay mo n'a bay, Yana gaze araŋ gaa bo.
3But I will speak to the Almighty, and will find pleasure in reasoning with ùGod;
3 Kala day ya to d'ay sanno Hina-Kulu-Koyo do, Irikoy jine no ay ga ba ay m'ay sabaabo cabe.
4For ye indeed are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
4 Amma araŋ wo tangari teekoyaŋ no, Safarikoy yaamo yaŋ no araŋ kulu.
5Oh that ye would be altogether silent! and it would be your wisdom.
5 D'araŋ yadda, doŋ araŋ ma dangay day, sum! I ga woodin mo ye araŋ do laakal no.
6Hear now my defence, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
6 Sohõ wa maa ay sabaabo, Wa hanga jeeri ay me ŋwaarayyaŋo wo se.
7Will ye speak unrighteously for ùGod? and for him speak deceit?
7 Araŋ ga Irikoy gaakasinay da cimi-jaŋay sanni, wala? Araŋ m'a gaakasinay no koyne nda diibi-diiba sanni, wala?
8Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for ùGod?
8 Araŋ ga baar'a-baar'a te a se no? Araŋ ga faasa Irikoy se no?
9Will it be well if he should search you out? or as one mocketh at a man, will ye mock at him?
9 A boori nooya d'a na araŋ fisi ka kaa taray? Wala araŋ ga hin k'a fafagu sanda mate kaŋ cine i ga boro fafagu?
10He will certainly reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
10 Daahir no a ga kaseeti araŋ gaa, D'araŋ goono ga baar'a-baar'a te tuguyaŋ ra.
11Shall not his excellency terrify you? and his dread fall upon you?
11 A beera si araŋ humburandi no? Wala a humburkuma joota si araŋ di?
12Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, your bulwarks are bulwarks of mire.
12 Araŋ sanney ciya sanda boosu cine, Araŋ sabaabey botogo wane yaŋ no.
13Hold your peace from me, and I will speak, and let come on me what [will]!
13 Wa dangay, wa fay d'ay hinne, ay ma salaŋ. Hay kulu kaŋ ga du ay, a ma soobay ka kaa.
14Wherefore should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
14 Ifo se no ay g'ay baso nama? Y'ay fundo daŋ kambey mo?
15Behold, if he slay me, yet would I trust in him; but I will defend mine own ways before him.
15 Baa a g'ay wi, kulu nda yaadin ay ga de a gaa.
16This also shall be my salvation, that a profane man shall not come before his face.
16 Woodin mo ga ciya ay se faaba. Boro kaŋ siino ga may a se si koy a do.
17Hear attentively my speech and my declaration with your ears.
17 W'ay sanno wo hangan. Haŋ kaŋ ay ga ci mo, a ma furo araŋ hangey ra.
18Behold now, I have ordered the cause; I know that I shall be justified.
18 Guna, ay n'ay kalima soola, Ay bay mo kaŋ ay ga ciya boro kaŋ sinda taali.
19Who is he that contendeth with me? For if I were silent now, I should expire.
19 Man bora kaŋ ga hin k'ay kakaw? D'a go no mo, kala ya dangay, y'ay fundo taŋ.
20Only do not two things unto me; then will I not hide myself from thee.
20 Hari hinka hinne no ni ma si te ay se: Woodin gaa no ay si tugu ni se.
21Withdraw thy hand far from me; and let not thy terror make me afraid:
21 Ma ni kamba sambu ay boŋ sap-sap! Ma s'ay humburandi mo nda ni humburandiyaŋ harey.
22Then call, and I will answer; or I will speak, and answer thou me.
22 Gaa no ni ma ce, ay mo ga tu. Wala ma naŋ ay ma ce, ni mo ma tu ay se.
23How many are mine iniquities and sins? Make me to know my transgression and my sin.
24Wherefore dost thou hide thy face, and countest me for thine enemy?
24 Ifo se no ni go ga ni moyduma tugu ay se, Ni go ga ay himandi ni ibare no?
25Wilt thou terrify a driven leaf? and wilt thou pursue dry stubble?
25 Kobto kaŋ haw ga gaaray no ni ga taabandi, wala? Ni ga subu patarmi kogo kankam, wala?
26For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth;
27And thou puttest my feet in the stocks, and markest all my paths; thou settest a bound about the soles of my feet; --
27 Ni goono mo g'ay cey daŋ bundu baka* ra. Naŋ kaŋ ay taamu kulu ni go g'ay batu.
28One who, as a rotten thing consumeth, as a garment that the moth eateth.
28 Ay ga hima hay fo fumbo kaŋ go ga halaci, Sanda kwaay kaŋ naana-baana ŋwa.
