Job

16

1And Job answered and said,
1 Ayuba tu ka ne:
2I have heard many such things: grievous comforters are ye all.
Araŋ kulu yaamarkoyaŋ no kaŋ ga taabandi.
3Shall words of wind have an end? or what provoketh thee that thou answerest?
3 Haw sanni wo gonda kokor no? Wala ifo no ka ni zukku kaŋ naŋ ni goono ga tu?
4I also could speak as ye: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could join together words against you, and shake my head at you;
4 Ay mo gonda hina kaŋ ga salaŋ sanda araŋ cine. Amma d'a ma ciya araŋ fundey go sanda nango kaŋ ay wano go, Doŋ ay ga hin ka sanniyaŋ margu-margu araŋ boŋ, K'ay boŋ zinji araŋ gaa.
5[But] I would encourage you with my mouth, and the solace of my lips should assuage [your pain].
5 Amma ay wo, kala day ya araŋ gaabandi nd'ay meyo.
6If I speak, my pain is not assuaged; and if I forbear, what am I eased?
6 Baa ay salaŋ, ay bine sara day si te daama, Wala baa ay naŋ mo, daama woofo no ay ga maa?
7But now he hath made me weary; ... thou hast made desolate all my family;
7 Amma sohõ Irikoy n'ay fargandi. _Ya Irikoy_, ni n'ay jama kulu ciya yaamo.
8Thou hast shrivelled me up! it is become a witness; and my leanness riseth up against me, it beareth witness to my face.
9His anger teareth and pursueth me; he gnasheth with his teeth against me; [as] mine adversary he sharpeneth his eyes at me.
10They gape upon me with their mouth; they smite my cheeks reproachfully; they range themselves together against me.
10 I na ngey meyey nyatte ay gaa k'ay wow, I go g'ay saŋ-saŋ da kayna, i go ga margu ay boŋ.
11ùGod hath delivered me over to the iniquitous man, and hurled me into the hands of the wicked.
11 Irikoy n'ay daŋ boro yaamo yaŋ kambe ra, A n'ay jindaw laalakoyey kambe ra.
12I was at rest, but he hath shattered me; he hath taken me by the neck and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
12 Doŋ ay goono ga goro baani goray ra, Kal a n'ay ceeri-ceeri. Oho, jinde gaa no a n'ay di k'ay bagu-bagu. A n'ay sinji, k'ay ciya nga se goo hari.
13His arrows encompass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.
13 A hangawey n'ay daŋ game. A n'ay teelo gooru-gooru, bakaraw si, A n'ay tay haro mun ganda.
14He breaketh me with breach upon breach; he runneth upon me like a mighty man.
14 A go g'ay bagu, korti go korti boŋ. A ga kaŋ ay boŋ sanda wongaari fo cine.
15I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and rolled my horn in the dust.
16My face is red with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
16 Ay moyduma sara nda hẽeni, Ay mo-kuurey gaa mo gonda buuyaŋ biya,
17Although there is no violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure.
17 Baa kaŋ toonye si no ay kambe ra, Ay adduwa mo ga hanan.
18O earth, cover not my blood, and let there be no place for my cry!
19Even now, behold, my Witness is in the heavens, and he that voucheth for me is in the heights.
19 Baa sohõ, guna, ay gonda ay seeda beena ra, Yongo beene mo, boro go no kaŋ ga yadda ka kay ay se.
20My friends are my mockers; mine eye poureth out tears unto +God.
20 Ay corey goono g'ay hahaara, Amma ay moy goono ga mundi dooru Irikoy gaa,
21Oh that there were arbitration for a man with +God, as a son of man for his friend!
22For years [few] in number shall pass, -- and I shall go the way [whence] I shall not return.
22 Zama hal a ga to jiiri kayna fooyaŋ, Ay ga fondo gana kaŋ ay si ye ka kaa koyne.
