1And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,
1 Gaa no Bildad Suhi bora tu ka ne:
2How long will ye hunt for words? Be intelligent, and then we will speak.
2 «Waati fo no araŋ ga sanney wo dumi naŋ? Wa lasaabu day, a banda iri mo ga salaŋ.
3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed stupid in your sight?
3 Ifo se no ni go ga iri himandi danga almanyaŋ, Ni do no iri go danga harramyaŋ cine?
4Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?
4 Nin wo, kaŋ na ni boŋ tooru-tooru ni futa ra, I ga ndunnya naŋ koonu ni sabbay se no, Wala i ga tondi hibandi ka kaa nga nango ra?
5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the flame of his fire shall not shine.
5 Daahir i ga boro laalo annura wi, A danji beela kaaro mo ga gaze.
6The light shall become dark in his tent, and his lamp over him shall be put out.
6 Kaari kaŋ go a nangora ra din ga ciya kubay, Fitilla kaŋ go a boŋ beene din mo ga bu.
7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
7 A ce taamuyaŋo gaabo ga kankam, Nga bumbo saawara mo g'a soote ganda.
8For he is sent into the net by his own feet, and he walketh on the meshes;
8 Zama a cey ga kond'a wufa ra, A go no mo ga taamu kumsay boŋ.
9The gin taketh [him] by the heel, the snare layeth hold on him;
9 Hirrimi g'a di ce kondo gaa, Asuuta mo g'a gaay.
10A cord is hidden for him in the ground, and his trap in the way.
10 I na korfo hirrimi tugu a se ganda, Guusu hirrimi mo go fondo boŋ.
11Terrors make him afraid on every side, and chase him at his footsteps.
11 Humburkumay beeri g'a humburandi kuray kulu. I g'a ce kondo ŋwa k'a gaaray.
12His strength is hunger-bitten, and calamity is ready at his side.
12 Haray g'a gaabo ŋwa, Masiiba go soolante a jarga.
13The firstborn of death devoureth the members of his body; it will devour his members.
13 A g'a kuuro ŋwa, Oho, bu doori g'a dabey ŋwa.
14His confidence shall be rooted out of his tent, and it shall lead him away to the king of terrors:
14 A nangora kaŋ gaa a ga de, a ra no i g'a hamay ka kond'a humburkumay bonkoono do.
15They who are none of his shall dwell in his tent; brimstone shall be showered upon his habitation:
15 Haŋ kaŋ manti a wane no ga goro a windo ra, I ga sufar* say-say a nangora boŋ.
16His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off;
16 A kaajey ga koogu ganda laabo ra, A kambey mo ga lakaw beene.
17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name on the pasture-grounds.

18He is driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
18 I g'a gaaray ka kaa kaari ra ka kond'a kubay ra, I g'a gaaray hal a ma fun ndunnya ra.
19He hath neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining in the places of his sojourn.
19 A ga jaŋ ize wala haama nga dumey ra, A sinda mo boro kulu kaŋ ga cindi a nangora ra.
20They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before [them] were affrighted.
20 Wayna kaŋay borey dambara nd'a alwaato, Sanda mate kaŋ cine wayna funay borey mo zici dumbu a sabbay se.
21Surely, such are the dwellings of the unrighteous man, and such the place of him that knoweth not ùGod.
21 Haciika, yaadin cine no borey kaŋ yaŋ sinda adilitaray nangora ga bara. Ngey kaŋ si Irikoy bay mo, I kayyaŋo do yaadin no a ga bara.»
