Job

19

1And Job answered and said,
1 Ayuba tu ka ne:
2How long will ye vex my soul, and crush me with words?
2 «Waati fo no araŋ g'ay fundo taabandiyaŋo naŋ? Araŋ m'ay bagu-bagu nda sanniyaŋ mo naŋ.
3These ten times have ye reproached me; ye are not ashamed to stupefy me.
3 Sorro way wo kulu araŋ goono g'ay foy no, Haawi mana araŋ di nda mate kaŋ cine araŋ goono g'ay zamba?
4And be it [that] I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
4 Baa da cimi no ay na taali te, Ay taalo day si bisa ay boŋo boŋ.
5If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and prove against me my reproach,
5 Hala day daahir boŋbeeray no araŋ goono ga cabe ay se, Ka cabe kaŋ ay masiiba no ga ti ay taali dakeyaŋo sabaabu,
6Know now that +God hath overthrown me, and hath surrounded me with his net.
6 Kulu araŋ ma woodin bay: Irikoy no k'ay zeeri, Nga no ka nga wufa daaru k'ay windi.
7Behold, I cry out of wrong, and I am not heard; I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.
8He hath hedged up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.
8 A n'ay fonda kosaray hal ay si du ka bisa, A na kubay sinji ay se fonda gaa.
9He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
9 A n'ay darza kulu kaa ay gaa, Ka boŋtoba kaa ay boŋo gaa.
10He breaketh me down on every side, and I am gone; and my hope hath he torn up as a tree.
10 A n'ay bagu-bagu kuray kulu, ay ban mo. A n'ay beeja dagu mo sanda tuuri-nya.
11And he hath kindled his anger against me, and hath counted me unto him as one of his enemies.
11 A na nga futa danjo diyandi ay boŋ, A n'ay ye nga yanjekaarey ra.
12His troops have come together and cast up their way against me, and have encamped round about my tent.
12 A marga satey ga kaa care banda, Ka ngey fonda hanse zama ngey ma wongu nd'ay, I goono ga gata sinji k'ay nangora windi.
13He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are quite estranged from me.
13 A n'ay nya-izey moorandi ay gumo, Ay mo-ka-bayrayey mo n'ay fay waani.
14My kinsfolk have failed, and my known friends have forgotten me.
14 Ay dumey gaze, Ay goray corey mo dinya ay gaa.
15The sojourners in my house and my maids count me as a stranger; I am an alien in their sight.
15 Borey kaŋ yaŋ ga zumbu ay kwaara, baa ay koŋŋey mo n'ay himandi sanda yaw cine. Ay ciya i se sanda mebaraw.
16I called my servant, and he answered not; I entreated him with my mouth.
16 Ay g'ay bannya ce, Amma a si tu ay se, Baa ay n'a ŋwaaray da sanni.
17My breath is strange to my wife, and my entreaties to the children of my [mother's] womb.
18Even young children despise me; I rise up, and they speak against me.
18 Baa zanka kayney go ga donda ay. D'ay tun ka kay, kal i m'ay wow.
19All my intimate friends abhor me, and they whom I loved are turned against me.
20My bones cleave to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.
20 Ay biriyey go ga naagu ay baso nd'ay kuuro gaa. Da cat no ay du ka faaba.
21Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, ye my friends; for the hand of +God hath touched me.
22Why do ye persecute me as ùGod, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
22 Ifo se no araŋ goono g'ay fundo gurzugandi sanda mate kaŋ cine Irikoy goono ga te? Ay gaa-baso mana wasa araŋ se bo?
23Oh would that my words were written! oh that they were inscribed in a book!
23 Doŋ d'i g'ay sanney hantum! Doŋ day i m'i hantum tira fo ra!
24That with an iron style and lead they were graven in the rock for ever!
24 Doŋ i m'i jabu tondi hantumyaŋ ra hal abada da guuru kalam, K'i kawaatimandi nda bidile.
25And [as for] me, I know that my Redeemer liveth, and the Last, he shall stand upon the earth;
26And [if] after my skin this shall be destroyed, yet from out of my flesh shall I see +God;
26 Ay gaaham woone halaciyaŋ banda, Kulu nda yaadin ay gaaham ra, ay ga di Irikoy.
27Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another: -- my reins are consumed within me.
27 Ay ga di a mo, ay bumbo, Ay moy no ga di a, manti mo sanda boro fo wane bo. Ay bina go ga yalla-yalla ay ra.
28If ye say, How shall we persecute him? when the root of the matter is found in me,
28 D'araŋ ne: ‹Mate kaŋ iri g'a fundo gurzugandi nd'a neeya!› Kulu sanno kaajo go ay do.
29Be ye yourselves afraid of the sword! for the sword is fury against misdeeds, that ye may know there is a judgment.
29 Kal araŋ ma humburu takuba araŋ boŋ se, Zama dukuri ga takuba ciito candi ka kande, Zama araŋ ma bay kaŋ ciiti hane go no.»
