1Moreover Elihu answered and said,
1 Elihu soobay ka salaŋ ka ne:
2Hear my words, ye wise [men]; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
2 «Ya araŋ alborey kaŋ yaŋ gonda laakal, Wa maa ay sanney. Ya araŋ kaŋ yaŋ gonda bayray, Wa hanga jeeri ay se,
3For the ear trieth words, as the palate tasteth food.
3 Zama hanga ga sanni neesi sanda mate kaŋ cine me ga ŋwaari taba.
4Let us choose for ourselves what is right; let us know among ourselves what is good!
4 Iri ma suuban iri boŋ se haŋ kaŋ ga saba, Iri game ra mo iri ma bay haŋ kaŋ ga boori.
5For Job hath said, I am righteous, and ùGod hath taken away my judgment:
5 Zama Ayuba ne: ‹Ay ya adilante no, Amma Irikoy n'ay cimo kom.
6Should I lie against my right? My wound is incurable without transgression.
6 Ay ma taari no ay cimo boŋ, wala? Baa kaŋ ay sinda taali, ay biyo si ga yay.›
7What man is like Job? he drinketh up scorning like water,
7 Man boro kaŋ ga hima Ayuba, Kaŋ ga hahaaray haŋ sanda hari cine,
8And goeth in company with workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.
8 Kaŋ ga dira laala teekoy banda, Kaŋ ga bar-bare boro laaley banda?
9For he hath said, It profiteth not a man if he delight himself in God.
9 Zama a ne: ‹A si hay kulu hanse boro se Irikoy ma maa a kaani.›
10Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be wickedness from ùGod, and wrong from the Almighty!
10 Woodin sabbay se no, ya araŋ fahamantey, Araŋ ma hanga jeeri ay se. A ga mooru Irikoy gaa a ma ilaalo te, Wala Hina-Kulu-Koyo ma taali te mo!
11For a man's work will he render to him, and cause every one to find according to [his] way.
11 Zama a ga boro bana no a goyey boŋ, A ga naŋ mo boro kulu ma gar haŋ kaŋ ga saba nda nga daa alhaalo boŋ.
12Yea, surely, ùGod acteth not wickedly, and the Almighty perverteth not judgment.
12 Oho, daahir Irikoy si taali kulu te, Hina-Kulu-Koyo ya si ciiti siirandi.
13Who hath entrusted to him the earth? and who hath disposed the whole world?
13 May no ka ndunnya talfi a gaa? May mo no ka ndunnya kulu tiŋay dake a boŋ?
14If he only thought of himself, [and] gathered unto him his spirit and his breath,
14 D'a miila nga bina ra nga ma nga Biya da nga fulanzama margu nga bumbo do,
15All flesh would expire together, and man would return to the dust.
15 Kala fundikooni kulu ma halaci. Boro kulu mo, kal a ma ye ka ciya laabu.
16If now [thou hast] understanding, hear this: give ear to the voice of my words!
16 Amma da ni gonda fahamay, ma maa woone, Ma hanga jeeri ay sanney jinda se:
17Should he that hateth right indeed govern? and wilt thou condemn the All-just?
17 Boro kaŋ wongu cimi ciiti teeyaŋ ga hin ka mayray te, wala? Ni ga hinkoy adilante zeeri no?
18Shall one say to a king, Belial? to nobles, Wicked?
18 May no ga ne bonkooni se: ‹Ni ya furku no›? Wala i ma ne mayraykoyey se: ‹Araŋ ya boro laalo yaŋ no›?
19[How then to him] that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich man more than the poor? for they are all the work of his hands.
19 A si baar'a-baar'a te koy-izey se, A si arzakantey darza guna mo ka ne i bisa alfukaarey, Zama ikulu Irikoy kambe goyyaŋ no.
20In a moment they die, even at midnight the people are convulsed and pass away; and the strong are taken away without hand.
20 Mo-ka-mi yaŋ folloŋ no i ga bu. Baa cin bindo ra i ga borey zinji-zinji, i ga ban mo. Hinkoyey ga gana mo, kaŋ manti nda kambe.
21For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his steps.
21 Zama a moy goono ga boro fondey guna, A goono ga di a ce daguyaŋ kulu mo.
22There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
22 Kubay fo si no, wala biya, Kaŋ ra laala goy-teekoy ga du ka tugu.
23For he doth not long consider a man, to bring him before ùGod in judgment.
23 Zama a si laami nga ma tonton ka laakal ye boro gaa, Hala nd'a ma koy Irikoy jine ciiti se.
24He breaketh in pieces mighty men without inquiry, and setteth others in their stead;
24 A ga borey kaŋ yaŋ gonda hin bagu-bagu, fintalyaŋ si, Ka boro fooyaŋ daŋ i kayyaŋ nangey ra.
25Since he knoweth their actions; and he overthroweth [them] in the night, and they are crushed.
25 Woodin se mo a na laakal ye i goyey gaa. A g'i zeeri cin k'i tutubu.
26He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others,
26 A g'i kar danga boro laaley cine gomdokoy jine.
27Because they have turned back from him, and would consider none of his ways;
27 Zama i kamba ka fay d'a ganayaŋ, I wangu ka saal a muraadey kulu,
28So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.
28 Hal i naŋ talkey hẽeno ma koy ka to a do, A ma maa kayna ra waney hẽeno.
29When he giveth quietness, who then will disturb? and when he hideth [his] face, who shall behold him? and this towards a nation, or towards a man alike;
29 Da nga din ga laakal kanay no, May no ga hin ka ciiti ka zeeri koyne? Wala mo d'a na nga moyduma tugu, May no ga hin ka di a? Danga, d'a n'a te kunda se, Wala boro folloŋ se -- ikulu afolloŋ no.
30That the ungodly man reign not, that the people be not ensnared.
30 Boro kaŋ sinda Irikoy ganayaŋ mana hima ka mayray te, Zama a ma si ciya hirrimi hari talkey se.
31For hath he said unto ùGod, I bear [chastisement], I will not offend;
31 D'a-ta day, boro fo go no kaŋ doona ka ne Irikoy se: ‹Ay na goojiyaŋ haŋ, day ay si ye ka taali te?
32What I see not, teach thou me; if I have done wrong, I will do so no more?
32 Haŋ kaŋ ay mana di, ni m'ay dondonandi nd'a. D'ay jin ka goy laalo te, Ay si ye ka filla koyne.›
33Shall he recompense according to thy mind? for thou hast refused [his judgment]; for thou so choosest, and not I; speak then what thou knowest.
33 A ga bana ni se ni miila boŋ, Za kaŋ ni wangu no, wala? Zama daahir, nin no ga suuban, manti ay no. Woodin se no, kala ni ma ci haŋ kaŋ ni bay.
34Men of understanding will say to me, and a wise man who heareth me:
34 Fahamantey ga ne ay se, Oho, laakalkooni kulu kaŋ maa ay sanno ga ne:
35Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were not with intelligence.
35 ‹Ayuba goono ga salaŋ, kaŋ manti nda bayray, A sanno mo, haŋ kaŋ sinda laakal no.›
36Would that Job may be tried unto the end, because of [his] answers after the manner of evil men!
36 Doŋ day i ma Ayuba neesi hala bananta, Za kaŋ a go ga sanni yeti sanda boro laaley cine!
37For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth [his hands] among us, and multiplieth his words against ùGod.
37 Zama a zunubey boŋ no a goono ga murteyaŋ tonton, A goono ga kooma kaa mo iri game ra. A go ga sanni boobo te ka gaaba nda Irikoy.»
