Proverbs

10

1The Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father; but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.
1 Suleymanu yaasay fooyaŋ neeya: Ize laakalkooni ga nga baabo bine kaanandi, Amma ize kaŋ ga saamo, a ga nga nya bine tiŋandi.
2Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; but righteousness delivereth from death.
2 Laala arzaka sinda nafa kulu, Amma adilitaray ga boro faaba buuyaŋ gaa.
3Jehovah suffereth not the soul of the righteous [man] to famish; but he repelleth the craving of the wicked.
3 Rabbi si naŋ adilante fundo ma maa haray bo, Amma a ga boro laalo beeja hibandi.
4He cometh to want that dealeth with a slack hand; but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
4 Boro kaŋ ga goy da hawfunay ga talka, Amma himmante kambe ga arzaka margu.
5He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
5 Bora kaŋ margu-margu kaydiya waate no ga ti ize laakalkooni. Amma boro kaŋ ga jirbi heemar waate, Ize no kaŋ ga haawi candi.
6Blessings are upon the head of a righteous [man]; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.
6 Albarka go adilante boŋ, Amma toonye ga boro laalo me daabu.
7The memory of the righteous [man] shall be blessed; but the name of the wicked shall rot.
7 I ma fongu adilante gaa, woodin ya albarka no, Amma boro laalo maa ga fumbu.
8The wise in heart receiveth commandments; but a prating fool shall fall.
8 Bine ra laakalkooni ga lordiyaŋ ta, Amma boro kaŋ meyo gonda saamotaray ga kaŋ.
9He that walketh in integrity walketh securely; but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
9 Boro kaŋ ga dira nda adilitaray, Baani samay no a ga dira. Amma boro kaŋ ga nga fondey siirandi, I ga bay a gaa.
10He that winketh with the eye causeth grief, and a prating fool shall fall.
10 Mo-karko ga kande bina saray, Amma boro kaŋ meyo gonda saamotaray ga kaŋ.
11The mouth of a righteous [man] is a fountain of life; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.
11 Adilante me ga ti fundi hari-mo, Amma toonye ga boro laalo me daabu.
12Hatred stirreth up strifes; but love covereth all transgressions.
12 Konnari ga yanje fisi ka kaa taray, Amma baakasinay ga taali kulu daabu.
13In the lips of an intelligent [man] wisdom is found; but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
13 Fayankakoy me ra i ga laakal gar, Amma boro kaŋ jaŋ fahamay, Barzu go no a banda daaro se.
14The wise lay up knowledge; but the mouth of the fool is near destruction.
14 Laakalkooney ga bayray margu, Amma saamey me ga maan halaciyaŋ gaa.
15The rich man's wealth is his strong city; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
15 Arzakante duure ga te a se kwaara gaabikooni. Alfukaarey halaciyaŋ ga ti talkatara.
16The labour of a righteous [man] [tendeth] to life; the revenue of a wicked [man], to sin.
16 Adilante goyo go fundi do haray. Boro laalo arzaka mo ga koy zunubi gaa.
17Keeping instruction is the path to life; but he that forsaketh reproof goeth astray.
17 Boro kaŋ laakal da yaamaryaŋ, Fundi fonda ra no a go, Amma boro kaŋ na kaseetiyaŋ furu, a daray.
18He that covereth hatred hath lying lips, and he that sendeth forth a slander is a fool.
18 Boro kaŋ na konnari tugu gonda tangari, Boro kaŋ ga kormoto ci ya saamo no.
19In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgression; but he that restraineth his lips doeth wisely.
19 Sanni boobo ra i si jaŋ hattayaŋ, Amma boro kaŋ hin nga me, laakal goy no a goono ga te.
20The tongue of the righteous [man] is [as] choice silver; the heart of the wicked is little worth.
20 Adilante deene wo danga nzarfu suubanante no, Boro laalo bine gonda nafa kayna.
21The lips of a righteous [man] feed many; but fools die for want of understanding.
21 Adilante me ga boro boobo kuru, Amma borey kaŋ yaŋ sinda carmay ga bu fahamay-jaŋey se.
22The blessing of Jehovah, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow to it.
22 Rabbi albarka ga kande arzaka, A s'a margu nda bine saray mo.
23It is as sport to a foolish [man] to do wickedness; but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
23 Saamo do, laala teeyaŋ wo danga foori hari no. Yaadin no laakal go boro kaŋ gonda fahamay se.
24The fear of a wicked [man], it shall come upon him; but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
24 Haya kaŋ boro laalo ga humburu, Nga no ga kaa a gaa. Amma adilante muraadu ga feeri.
25As a whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no [more]; but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
25 Waati kaŋ hari haw bambata ga bisa, Boro laalo ga te ka si, Amma adilante tiksa ga duumi.
26As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
26 Danga hari mooro hinjey gaa, Danga dullu moy ra, Yaadin no hawfuno go boro kaŋ n'a donton se.
27The fear of Jehovah prolongeth days; but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
27 Rabbi humburkumay ga aloomar kuukandi, Amma boro laaley jiirey ga dunguriya.
28The hope of the righteous is joy; but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
28 Adilante beeje ga ciya bine farhã, Amma boro laaley jine fonnayyaŋ ga halaci.
29The way of Jehovah is strength to the perfect [man], but destruction to the workers of iniquity.
29 Rabbi fonda ya wongu fu gaabikooni no adilante se, Amma halaciyaŋ no goy laalo teeko se.
30The righteous [man] shall never be moved; but the wicked shall not inhabit the land.
30 I si adilante ganandi hal abada, Amma boro laaley si goro laabo ra.
31The mouth of a righteous [man] putteth forth wisdom; but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
31 Adilante me go ga laakal kaa taray, Amma i ga sanni-siiro-koy deene dumbu.
32The lips of a righteous [man] know what is acceptable; but the mouth of the wicked is frowardness.
32 Adilante me ga bay haŋ kaŋ gonda maayaŋ kaano, Amma boro laalo me ga sanni siiro yaŋ salaŋ.
