1{[A Psalm] of David.} Unto thee, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.
1 Dawda wane no. Ya Rabbi, ni gaa no ay g'ay bina ye!
2My God, I confide in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
2 Ya ay Irikoyo, ni gaa no ay ga de, Ma s'ay naŋ ya haaw. Ma si naŋ ay ibarey ma zaama te ay boŋ.
3Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
3 Oho, boro kaŋ ga hangan ni se, a si haaw. Borey kaŋ yaŋ ga amaana ŋwa sabaabu kulu si, Ngey no ga haaw.
4Make me to know thy ways, O Jehovah; teach me thy paths.
5Make me to walk in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
6Remember, Jehovah, thy tender mercies and thy loving-kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.
6 Ya Rabbi, ma fongu ni bakarawo da ni baakasinay suujey, Zama za doŋ-doŋ kaŋ sinda me i go no.
7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to thy loving-kindness remember thou me, for thy goodness' sake, Jehovah.
8Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore will he instruct sinners in the way:
8 Rabbi ya booriyankoy da adilitaraykoy no, Woodin se no a ga zunubikooney dondonandi fonda ra.
9The meek will he guide in judgment, and the meek will he teach his way.
9 A ga borey kaŋ yaŋ sinda boŋbeeray candi cimi ciiti ra. A ga ngey kaŋ yaŋ sinda boŋbeeray dondonandi nga fonda.
10All the paths of Jehovah are loving-kindness and truth for such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

12What man is he that feareth Jehovah? him will he instruct in the way [that] he should choose.
12 Boro woofo no ga humburu Rabbi? Rabbi no g'a koy dondonandi fondo kaŋ a ga hima ka suuban.
13His soul shall dwell in prosperity, and his seed shall inherit the earth.

15Mine eyes are ever toward Jehovah; for he will bring my feet out of the net.

16Turn toward me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.

17The troubles of my heart are increased: bring me out of my distresses;
18Consider mine affliction and my travail, and forgive all my sins.
18 Ma laakal ye ay kankamo d'ay taabey gaa, M'ay zunubey kulu yaafa mo.
19Consider mine enemies, for they are many, and they hate me [with] cruel hatred.
19 Ma laakal d'ay ibarey, zama i ga baa, I ga konna ay mo da konnari laalo.
20Keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I trust in thee.
