¹Psalmo de Asaf. Ho Dio! venis idolanoj en Vian heredon, Malpurigis Vian sanktan templon, Faris el Jerusalem ruinojn.

¹A Psalm of Asaph. O God, nations have come into Thy inheritance, They have defiled Thy holy temple, They made Jerusalem become heaps,

²La kadavrojn de Viaj sklavoj ili donis kiel mangxon al la birdoj de la cxielo, La karnon de Viaj fideluloj al la bestoj de la tero;

²They gave the dead bodies of Thy servants Food for the fowls of the heavens, The flesh of Thy saints For the wild beast of the earth.

³Ili versxis ilian sangon kiel akvon, cxirkaux Jerusalem, Kaj estis neniu, kiu ilin enterigus.

³They have shed their blood As water round about Jerusalem, And there is none burying.

⁴Ni farigxis hontindajxo por niaj najbaroj, Mokatajxo kaj insultatajxo por niaj cxirkauxantoj.

⁴We have been a reproach to our neighbours, A scorn and a derision to our surrounders.

⁵GXis kiam, ho Eternulo, Vi koleros sencxese? Kaj Via indigno brulos, kiel fajro?

⁵Till when, O Jehovah? art Thou angry for ever? Thy jealousy doth burn as fire.

⁶Elversxu Vian koleron sur tiujn naciojn, kiuj Vin ne konas, Kaj sur la regnojn, kiuj ne vokas Vian nomon;

⁶Pour Thy fury on the nations who have not known Thee, And on kingdoms that have not called in Thy name.

⁷CXar ili formangxis Jakobon Kaj dezertigis lian logxejon.

⁷For [one] hath devoured Jacob, And his habitation they have made desolate.

⁸Ne memoru niajn antauxajn krimojn, Rapide atingu nin Via favorkoreco; CXar ni tre konsumigxis.

⁸Remember not for us the iniquities of forefathers, Haste, let Thy mercies go before us, For we have been very weak.

⁹Helpu nin, ho Dio de nia savo, pro la gloro de Via nomo; Kaj savu nin kaj pardonu al ni niajn pekojn pro Via nomo.

⁹Help us, O God of our salvation, Because of the honour of Thy name, And deliver us, and cover over our sins, For Thy name`s sake.

¹⁰Kial devas diri la popoloj:Kie estas ilia Dio? Farigxu konata inter la popoloj antaux niaj okuloj La vengxo por la versxita sango de Viaj sklavoj.

¹⁰Why do the nations say, `Where [is] their God?` Let be known among the nations before our eyes, The vengeance of the blood of Thy servants that is shed.

¹¹Venu al Vi la gxemoj de la malliberuloj; Per la grandeco de Via brako liberigu tiujn, kiuj estas kondamnitaj al morto;

¹¹Let the groaning of the prisoner come in before Thee, According to the greatness of Thine arm, Leave Thou the sons of death.

¹²Kaj redonu al niaj najbaroj sepoble en ilian sinon la malhonoron, Per kiu ili malhonoris Vin, ho mia Sinjoro!

¹²And turn Thou back to our neighbours, Sevenfold unto their bosom, their reproach, Wherewith they reproached Thee, O Lord.

¹³Kaj ni, Via popolo kaj la sxafoj de Via pasxtataro, Eterne Vin dankos, De generacio al generacio ni rakontos Vian gloron.

¹³And we, Thy people, and the flock of Thy pasture, We give thanks to Thee to the age, To all generations we recount Thy praise!
