¹Kaj la Eternulo plue parolis al Ijob, kaj diris:

¹And Jehovah answered Job and said,

²CXu povas blasfemanto disputi kun la Plejpotenculo? La mallauxdanto de Dio tion respondu.

²Shall he that will contend with the Almighty instruct [him]? he that reproveth +God, let him answer it.

³Kaj Ijob respondis al la Eternulo, kaj diris:

³And Job answered Jehovah and said,

⁴Jen mi estis facilanima; kion mi povas respondi al Vi? Mi metas mian manon sur mian busxon.

⁴Behold, I am nought: what shall I answer thee? I will lay my hand upon my mouth.

⁵Unu fojon mi parolis, kaj mi ne respondos; Tion mi ne faros duan fojon.

⁵Once have I spoken, and I will not answer; yea twice, but I will proceed no further.

⁶Kaj la Eternulo respondis al Ijob el la ventego, kaj diris:

⁶And Jehovah answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,

⁷Zonu kiel viro viajn lumbojn; Mi vin demandos, kaj vi sciigu al Mi.

⁷Gird up now thy loins like a man: I will demand of thee, and inform thou me.

⁸CXu vi volas senvalorigi Mian verdikton, Akuzi Min, por ke vi montrigxu prava?

⁸Wilt thou also annul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me that thou mayest be righteous?

⁹Se vi havas tian brakon, kiel Dio, Kaj se vi povas tondri per vocxo simile al Li,

⁹Hast thou an arm like ùGod? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

¹⁰Tiam ornamu vin per majesto, kaj altigxu, Vestu vin per gloro kaj belegeco;

¹⁰Deck thyself now with glory and excellency, and clothe thyself with majesty and splendour.

¹¹Elversxu la furiozon de via kolero; Ekrigardu cxion fieran kaj humiligu gxin;

¹¹Cast abroad the ragings of thine anger, and look on every one that is proud, and abase him:

¹²Ekrigardu cxiun fierulon kaj konfuzu lin; Kaj frakasu la malpiulojn sur ilia loko;

¹²Look on every one that is proud, bring him low, and tread down the wicked in their place:

¹³Kasxu ilin cxiujn en la tero; Ilian vizagxon kovru per mallumo.

¹³Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in secret.

¹⁴Tiam Mi gloros vin, Se via dekstra mano vin helpos.

¹⁴Then will I also praise thee, because thy right hand saveth thee.

¹⁵Vidu la hipopotamon, kiun Mi kreis apud vi; Herbon gxi mangxas, kiel bovo.

¹⁵See now the behemoth, which I made with thee: he eateth grass as an ox.

¹⁶Vidu, gxia forto estas en gxiaj lumboj, Kaj gxia fortikeco estas en la muskoloj de gxia ventro.

¹⁶Behold now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the muscles of his belly.

¹⁷GXi strecxas sian voston kiel cedron, La tendenoj de gxiaj femuroj estas interplektitaj.

¹⁷He bendeth his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are woven together.

¹⁸GXiaj ostoj estas kiel kupraj tuboj, GXiaj ostoj estas kiel feraj stangoj.

¹⁸His bones are tubes of bronze, his members are like bars of iron.

¹⁹GXi estas la komenco de la vojoj de Dio; GXia Kreinto donis al gxi gxian glavon.

¹⁹He is the chief of ùGod's ways: he that made him gave him his sword.

²⁰La montoj alportas al gxi mangxajxon, Kaj cxiuj bestoj de la kampo tie ludas.

²⁰For the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

²¹Sub ombroricxaj arboj gxi kusxas, Sub kovro de kanoj kaj en sxlimo.

²¹He lieth under lotus-bushes, in the covert of the reed and fen:

²²Ombroricxaj arboj sxirmas gxin per sia ombro, CXirkauxas gxin salikoj apud torentoj.

²²Lotus-bushes cover him with their shade; the willows of the brook surround him.

²³Se la rivero tumultas, gxi ne konfuzigxas; GXi staras trankvile, se ecx Jordan enversxigxus en gxian busxon.

²³Lo, the river overfloweth -- he startleth not: he is confident though a Jordan break forth against his mouth.

²⁴CXu iu povas preni gxin antaux gxiaj okuloj, CXu iu povas trabori per sxnuroj gxian nazon?

²⁴Shall he be taken in front? will they pierce through [his] nose in the trap?
