1And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,
2Kiel longe vi tiel parolos, Kaj la vortoj de via busxo estos kiel forta vento?
2How long wilt thou speak these things? and the words of thy mouth be a strong wind?
3CXu Dio falsas la jugxon? CXu la Plejpotenculo falsas la justecon?
3Doth ùGod pervert judgment, and the Almighty pervert justice?
4Se viaj filoj pekis kontraux Li, Li forpusxis ilin pro ilia malbonago.
4If thy children have sinned against him, he hath also given them over into the hand of their transgression.
5Se vi sercxas Dion Kaj petegas la Plejpotenculon,
5If thou seek earnestly unto ùGod, and make thy supplication to the Almighty,
6Se vi estas pura kaj pia, Li maldormos super vi, Kaj restarigos la bonstaton en via virta logxejo.
6If thou be pure and upright, surely now he will awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous;
7Kaj se via komenco estis malgranda, Via estonteco forte kreskos.
7And though thy beginning was small, yet thine end shall be very great.
8CXar demandu la antauxajn generaciojn, Kaj primeditu tion, kion esploris iliaj patroj;
8For inquire, I pray thee, of the former generation, and attend to the researches of their fathers;
9CXar ni estas de hieraux, kaj ni nenion scias; Nia vivo sur la tero estas nur ombro.
9For we are [but] of yesterday, and know nothing, for our days upon earth are a shadow.
10Ili instruos vin, diros al vi, Kaj el sia koro elirigos vortojn.
10Shall not they teach thee, [and] tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
11CXu povas kreski kano sen malsekeco? CXu kreskas junko sen akvo?
11Doth the papyrus shoot up without mire? doth the reed-grass grow without water?
12En tia okazo gxi velksekigxas pli frue ol cxiu herbo, Kiam gxi estas ankoraux en sia fresxeco, Kiam gxi ankoraux ne estas detrancxita.
12Whilst it is yet in its greenness [and] not cut down, it withereth before any [other] grass.
13Tiaj estas la vojoj de cxiuj, kiuj forgesas Dion; Kaj pereas la espero de hipokritulo,
13So are the paths of all that forget ùGod; and the profane man's hope shall perish,
14Kies fido dehakigxas, Kaj kies espero estas araneajxo.
14Whose confidence shall be cut off, and his reliance is a spider's web.
15Li apogas sin al sia domo, sed ne restos staranta; Li ekkaptos gxin, sed ne povos sin teni.
15He shall lean upon his house, and it shall not stand; he shall lay hold on it, but it shall not endure.
16Li estis verda antaux la suno, Kaj super lia gxardeno etendigxas liaj brancxoj;
16He is full of sap before the sun, and his sprout shooteth forth over his garden;
17Amase plektigxas liaj radikoj, Inter sxtonoj ili tenas sin forte;
17His roots are entwined about the stoneheap; he seeth the place of stones.
18Sed kiam oni elsxiras lin el lia loko, GXi malkonfesas lin:Mi vin ne vidis.
18If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him: I have not seen thee!
19Tia estas la gxojo de lia vivo; Kaj el la tero kreskas aliaj.
19Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the dust shall others grow.
20Vidu, Dio ne forpusxas virtulon Kaj ne subtenas la manon de malpiuloj.
20Behold, ùGod will not cast off a perfect man, neither will he take evil-doers by the hand.
21Li plenigos ankoraux vian busxon per rido Kaj viajn lipojn per gxojkrioj.
21Whilst he would fill thy mouth with laughing and thy lips with shouting,
22Viaj malamantoj kovrigxos per honto; Sed la tendo de malpiuloj malaperos.
22They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame, and the tent of the wicked be no more.
