¹Hallelujah! Give ye thanks unto Jehovah; for he is good; for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever.

²Kiu eldiros la potencon de la Eternulo, Auxdigos Lian tutan gloron?

²Who can utter the mighty acts of Jehovah? [who] can shew forth all his praise?

³Bone estas al tiuj, kiuj observas justecon, Kiuj agas bone en cxiu tempo.

³Blessed are they that keep justice, [and] he that doeth righteousness at all times.

⁴Memoru min, ho Eternulo, pro favoro al Via popolo; Sendu al mi Vian savon,

⁴Remember me, O Jehovah, with [thy] favour toward thy people; visit me with thy salvation:

⁵Por ke mi vidu la bonstaton de Viaj elektitoj, Por ke mi gxoju kun la gxojo de Via popolo, Por ke mi triumfu kun Via heredo.

⁵That I may see the prosperity of thy chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the joy of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

⁶Ni pekis kune kun niaj patroj, Ni malbonagis, ni malvirtis.

⁶We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

⁷Niaj patroj en Egiptujo ne komprenis Viajn miraklojn, Ne memoris Vian grandan bonecon; Kaj ili ribelis apud la maro, apud la Rugxa Maro.

⁷Our fathers in Egypt considered not thy wondrous works; they remembered not the multitude of thy loving-kindnesses; but they rebelled at the sea, at the Red Sea.

⁸Sed Li savis ilin pro Sia nomo, Por montri Sian potencon.

⁸Yet he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make known his might.

⁹Kaj Li ekkriis al la Rugxa Maro, kaj gxi elsekigxis; Kaj Li kondukis ilin tra la abismoj, kiel tra la dezerto.

⁹And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; and he led them through the deeps as through a wilderness.

¹⁰Kaj Li savis ilin el la mano de la malamanto, Kaj Li liberigis ilin en la mano de la malamiko.

¹⁰And he saved them from the hand of him that hated [them], and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

¹¹Kaj la akvo kovris iliajn kontrauxulojn; Ecx unu el ili ne restis.

¹¹And the waters covered their oppressors: there was not one of them left.

¹²Tiam ili ekkredis al Liaj vortoj, Ili ekkantis Lian gloron.

¹²Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

¹³Sed baldaux ili forgesis Liajn farojn, Ili ne fidis Lian konsilon.

¹³They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel:

¹⁴Ili fordonis sin al siaj kapricoj en la dezerto, Kaj ili incitis Dion en la stepo.

¹⁴And they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted ùGod in the desert.

¹⁵Kaj Li plenumis ilian deziron, Sed Li sendis pereon al iliaj animoj.

¹⁵Then he gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.

¹⁶Ili enviis Moseon en la tendaro, Aaronon, sanktulon de la Eternulo.

¹⁶And they envied Moses in the camp, [and] Aaron, the saint of Jehovah.

¹⁷Malfermigxis la tero kaj englutis Datanon, Kaj kovris la anaron de Abiram.

¹⁷The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram;

¹⁸Kaj ekbrulis fajro en ilia anaro, Flamo forbruligis la malvirtulojn.

¹⁸And fire was kindled in their company; a flame burned up the wicked.

¹⁹Ili faris bovidon cxe HXoreb, Kaj adorklinigxis antaux fandajxo.

¹⁹They made a calf in Horeb, and did homage to a molten image;

²⁰Ili sxangxis sian honoron En bildon de bovo, kiu mangxas herbon.

²⁰And they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.

²¹Ili forgesis Dion, sian savanton, Kiu faris grandajn farojn en Egiptujo,

²¹They forgot ùGod their Saviour, who had done great things in Egypt,

²²Miraklojn en la lando de HXam, Timindajxojn apud la Rugxa Maro.

²²Wondrous works in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea.

²³Kaj Li decidis ekstermi ilin; Sed Moseo, Lia elektito, starigxis antaux Li cxe la fendo, Por forklini Lian koleregon, ke Li ilin ne ekstermu.

²³And he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses, his chosen, stood before him in the breach, to turn away his fury, lest he should destroy [them].

²⁴Kaj ili malsxatis la dezirindan landon, Ili ne kredis al Lia vorto.

²⁴And they despised the pleasant land; they believed not his word,

²⁵Ili murmuris en siaj tendoj, Kaj ne auxskultis la vocxon de la Eternulo.

²⁵But murmured in their tents: they hearkened not unto the voice of Jehovah.

²⁶Tial Li jxuris al ili per levo de Sia mano, Por faligi ilin en la dezerto,

²⁶And he lifted up his hand to them, that he would make them fall in the wilderness;

²⁷Kaj por disfaligi ilian semon inter la popoloj, Kaj disjxeti ilin en la landojn.

²⁷And that he would make their seed fall among the nations, and disperse them through the countries.

²⁸Kaj ili aligxis al Baal-Peor, Kaj mangxis oferricevojn de malvivuloj.

²⁸And they joined themselves unto Baal-Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead;

²⁹Kaj ili kolerigis Lin per siaj faroj; Kaj disvastigxis inter ili epidemio.

²⁹And they provoked [him] to anger with their doings; and a plague broke out among them.

³⁰Kaj starigxis Pinehxas kaj arangxis jugxon; Kaj la epidemio haltis.

³⁰Then stood up Phinehas and executed judgment, and the plague was stayed;

³¹Kaj tio estas kalkulita al li kiel bonfaro, Por cxiuj generacioj kaj eterne.

³¹And that was reckoned unto him for righteousness, from generation to generation, for evermore.

³²Kaj ili kolerigis Lin cxe la akvo de Meriba, Kaj pro ili farigxis malbono al Moseo;

³²And they moved him to wrath at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses on their account;

³³CXar ili maldolcxigis lian spiriton, Kaj li eldiris ion nepripensitan per sia busxo.

³³For they provoked his spirit, so that he spoke unadvisedly with his lips.

³⁴Ili ne ekstermis la popolojn, Pri kiuj diris al ili la Eternulo;

³⁴They did not destroy the peoples, as Jehovah commanded them;

³⁵Sed ili miksigxis kun la popoloj Kaj lernis iliajn farojn;

³⁵But they mingled with the nations, and learned their works;

³⁶Ili servis al iliaj idoloj, Kaj cxi tiuj farigxis reto por ili.

³⁶And they served their idols; and they were a snare unto them:

³⁷Kaj ili oferdonis siajn filojn kaj filinojn al demonoj;

³⁷And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,

³⁸Kaj ili versxis senkulpan sangon, la sangon de siaj filoj kaj filinoj, Kiujn ili oferportis al la Kanaanaj idoloj; Kaj la tero malpurigxis de sango.

³⁸And shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.

³⁹Kaj ili malpurigxis per siaj faroj, Kaj malcxastigxis per siaj agoj.

³⁹And they were defiled with their works, and went a-whoring in their doings.

⁴⁰Kaj ekflamis la kolero de la Eternulo kontraux Lia popolo, Kaj Li abomenis Sian heredon;

⁴⁰Then was the anger of Jehovah kindled against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance;

⁴¹Kaj Li donis ilin en la manojn de idolanoj, Kaj iliaj malamantoj ekregis super ili.

⁴¹And he gave them into the hand of the nations; and they that hated them ruled over them:

⁴²Kaj premis ilin iliaj malamikoj, Kaj sub la manoj de cxi tiuj ili humiligxis.

⁴²And their enemies oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.

⁴³Multajn fojojn Li ilin savis; Sed ili ribeladis per siaj entreprenoj, Kaj ili senfortigxis pro sia krimeco.

⁴³Often did he deliver them; but as for them they provoked [him] by their counsel, and they were brought low by their iniquity.

⁴⁴Sed Li ekrigardis ilian suferon, Kiam Li auxdis ilian kriadon;

⁴⁴But he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry;

⁴⁵Kaj Li rememoris Sian interligon kun ili, Kaj Li ekbedauxris laux Sia granda favorkoreco;

⁴⁵And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving-kindnesses;

⁴⁶Kaj Li aperigis kompaton por ili CXe cxiuj iliaj malliberigintoj.

⁴⁶And he caused them to find compassion of all those that had carried them captives.

⁴⁷Savu nin, ho Eternulo, nia Dio, Kaj kolektu nin el inter la popoloj, Por glori Vian sanktan nomon, Por triumfi pro Via gloro.

⁴⁷Save us, Jehovah our God, and gather us from among the nations, to give thanks unto thy holy name, [and] to triumph in thy praise.

⁴⁸Glorata estu la Eternulo, Dio de Izrael, de eterne gxis eterne. Kaj la tuta popolo diru:Amen. Haleluja!

⁴⁸Blessed be Jehovah the God of Israel, from eternity and to eternity! And let all the people say, Amen! Hallelujah!
