1{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me].
2Vi scias, kiam mi sidas kaj kiam mi levigxas; Vi komprenas mian penson de malproksime.
2*Thou* knowest my down-sitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off;
3Kiam mi iras kaj kiam mi ripozas, Vi estas cxirkaux mi, Kaj cxiujn miajn vojojn Vi konas.
3Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways;
4CXar antaux ol trovigxas vorto sur mia lango, Jen, ho Eternulo, Vi cxion jam scias.
4For there is not yet a word on my tongue, [but] lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.
5De malantauxe kaj de antauxe Vi cxirkauxbaris min Kaj metis sur min Vian manon.
5Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me.
6Mirinda estas por mi tia sciado, tro alta; Mi gxin ne povas kompreni.
6O knowledge too wonderful for me! it is high, I cannot [attain] unto it.
7Kien mi iros for de Via spirito? Kaj kien mi kuros for de Via vizagxo?
7Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? and whither flee from thy presence?
8Se mi levigxos al la cxielo, Vi estas tie; Se mi kusxigxos en SXeol, jen Vi tie estas.
8If I ascend up into the heavens thou art there; or if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou [art there];
9CXu mi okupos la flugilojn de la matenrugxo, CXu mi logxigxos sur la rando de la maro:
9[If] I take the wings of the dawn [and] dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10Ankaux tie Via mano min kondukos, Kaj Via dekstra mano min tenos.
10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11Se mi diros:Mallumo min kovros, Kaj la lumo cxirkaux mi farigxos nokto:
11And if I say, Surely darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night;
12Ecx mallumo ne mallumas antaux Vi, Kaj la nokto lumas kiel tago; Mallumo farigxas kiel lumo.
12Even darkness hideth not from thee, and the night shineth as the day: the darkness is as the light.
13CXar Vi kreis mian internajxon, Formis min en la ventro de mia patrino.
13For thou hast possessed my reins; thou didst cover me in my mother's womb.
14Mi gloras Vin, cxar mi estas mirinde kreita; Mirindaj estas Viaj kreitajxoj, Kaj mia animo tion bone konscias.
14I will praise thee, for I am fearfully, wonderfully made. Marvellous are thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
15Ne estis kasxitaj antaux Vi miaj ostoj, Kiam mi estis kreata en kasxiteco, Kiam mi estis formata en la profundo de la tero.
15My bones were not hidden from thee when I was made in secret, curiously wrought in the lower parts of the earth.
16Mian embrion vidis Viaj okuloj, Kaj en Via libro estis enskribitaj cxiuj tagoj destinitaj, Kiam ankoraux ecx unu ne ekzistis.
16Thine eyes did see my unformed substance, and in thy book all [my members] were written; [during many] days were they fashioned, when [as yet] there was none of them.
17Kiel grandvaloraj estas por mi Viaj pensoj, ho Dio! Kiel granda estas ilia nombro!
17But how precious are thy thoughts unto me, O ùGod! how great is the sum of them!
18Se mi ilin kalkulus, ili estus pli multaj ol la sablo; Kiam mi vekigxas, mi estas ankoraux kun Vi.
18[If] I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with thee.
19Mortigu, ho Dio, la malvirtulojn, Kaj sangaviduloj forigxu de mi!
19Oh that thou wouldest slay the wicked, O +God! And ye men of blood, depart from me.
20Ili parolas pri Vi malice, Kaj Viaj malamikoj levigxas por trompo.
20For they speak of thee wickedly, they take [thy name] in vain, thine enemies.
21Viajn malamantojn, ho Eternulo, mi ja malamas, Kaj Viajn kontrauxulojn mi abomenas.
21Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? and do not I loathe them that rise up against thee?
22Per ekstrema malamo mi ilin malamas; Ili farigxis por mi malamikoj.
22I hate them with perfect hatred; I account them mine enemies.
23Esploru min, ho Dio, kaj konu mian koron; Provu min kaj sciu miajn pensojn.
23Search me, O ùGod, and know my heart; prove me, and know my thoughts;
24Kaj rigardu, cxu mi estas sur malbona vojo, Kaj gvidu min sur la vojo de eterneco.
24And see if there be any grievous way in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
