¹Al la hxorestro. Psalmo de David. Ho Eternulo, pro Via forto gxojas la regxo, Kaj pro Via helpo kiel forte li triumfas!

¹{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} The king shall joy in thy strength, Jehovah; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice.

²Kion lia koro deziris, tion Vi donis al li; Kaj la peton de lia busxo Vi ne rifuzis. Sela.

²Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

³Vi antauxvenas al li kun beno de bono; Vi metis sur lian kapon kronon el pura oro.

³For thou hast met him with the blessings of goodness; thou hast set a crown of pure gold on his head.

⁴Vivon li petis de Vi; Kaj Vi donis al li longan vivon por cxiam kaj eterne.

⁴He asked life of thee; thou gavest [it] him, length of days for ever and ever.

⁵Granda estas lia honoro pro Via helpo; Gloron kaj majeston Vi metis sur lin.

⁵His glory is great through thy salvation; majesty and splendour hast thou laid upon him.

⁶Vi donas al li eternajn benojn; Vi gajigas lin per gxojo antaux Via vizagxo.

⁶For thou hast made him to be blessings for ever; thou hast filled him with joy by thy countenance.

⁷CXar la regxo fidas la Eternulon, Kaj pro favoro de la Plejaltulo li ne falos.

⁷For the king confideth in Jehovah: and through the loving-kindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

⁸Trovos Via mano cxiujn Viajn malamikojn, Via dekstra trovos Viajn malamantojn.

⁸Thy hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

⁹Vi similigos ilin al brulanta forno, kiam Vi koleros; La Eternulo englutos ilin per Sia kolero, Kaj fajro ilin formangxos.

⁹Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thy presence; Jehovah shall swallow them up in his anger, and the fire shall devour them:

¹⁰Ilian naskitaron Vi ekstermos de sur la tero, Kaj ilian semon el inter la homidoj.

¹⁰Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

¹¹CXar ili preparis malbonon por Vi, Pripensis atencon, sed ne povis gxin plenumi.

¹¹For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a mischievous device, which they could not execute.

¹²Vi devigos ilin turni al Vi la dorson, Viajn tendenojn Vi direktos kontraux iliajn vizagxojn.

¹²For thou wilt make them turn their back; thou wilt make ready thy bowstring against their face.

¹³Levigxu, ho Eternulo, en Via forto; Ni kantos kaj gloros Vian potencon.

¹³Be thou exalted, Jehovah, in thine own strength: we will sing and celebrate thy power.
