1{To the chief Musician. Upon the Gittith. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.
2Per la busxo de junaj infanoj kaj sucxinfanoj Vi fondis al Vi potencon kontraux Viaj malamikoj, Por kvietigi la malamikon kaj la vengxemulon.
2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established praise because of thine adversaries, to still the enemy and the avenger.
3Kiam mi rigardas Vian cxielon, la faron de Viaj fingroj, La lunon kaj la stelojn, kiujn Vi estigis:
3When I see thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and stars, which thou hast established;
4Kio estas homo, ke Vi lin memoras? Kio estas homido, ke Vi pensas pri li?
4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5Vi malaltigis lin malmulte antaux Dio; Per honoro kaj beleco Vi lin kronis.
5Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and splendour.
6Vi faris lin reganto super la faritajxoj de Viaj manoj; CXion Vi metis sub liajn piedojn:
6Thou hast made him to rule over the works of thy hands; thou hast put everything under his feet:
7SXafojn kaj bovojn cxiujn Kaj ankaux la sovagxajn bestojn,
7Sheep and oxen, all of them, and also the beasts of the field;
8La birdojn de la cxielo kaj la fisxojn de la maro, CXion, kio iras la vojojn de la maroj.
8The fowl of the heavens, and the fishes of the sea, [whatever] passeth through the paths of the seas.
9Ho Eternulo, nia Sinjoro, Kiel majesta estas Via nomo sur la tuta tero!
