¹Jen estas la vorto, kiu aperis al Jeremia pri la tuta Juda popolo en la kvara jaro de Jehojakim, filo de Josxija, regxo de Judujo, tio estas en la unua jaro de Nebukadnecar, regxo de Babel,

¹The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (the same was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),

²kaj kiun la profeto Jeremia proklamis al la tuta Juda popolo kaj al cxiuj logxantoj de Jerusalem, dirante:

²which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:

³De post la dek-tria jaro de Josxija, filo de Amon, regxo de Judujo, gxis la nuna tago, en la dauxro de dudek tri jaroj, aperadis al mi la vorto de la Eternulo, kaj mi paroladis al vi, konstante paroladis; sed vi ne auxskultis.

³From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the word of Yahweh has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.

⁴La Eternulo sendis al vi cxiujn Siajn servantojn, la profetojn; cxiutage Li sendadis; sed vi ne auxskultis, vi ne alklinis vian orelon, por auxskulti.

⁴Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened, nor inclined your ear to hear)

⁵Ili diris:Deturnu vin cxiu de sia malbona vojo kaj de viaj malbonaj agoj, kaj logxu sur la tero, kiun la Eternulo donis al vi kaj al viaj patroj de cxiam kaj por cxiam;

⁵saying, Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forevermore;

⁶kaj ne sekvu aliajn diojn, servante kaj adorklinigxante al ili, kaj ne kolerigu Min per la faritajxo de viaj manoj, por ke Mi ne faru al vi malbonon.

⁶and don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no harm.

⁷Sed vi ne auxskultis Min, diras la Eternulo; vi kolerigis Min per la faritajxo de viaj manoj por via malbono.

⁷Yet you have not listened to me, says Yahweh; that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.

⁸Tial tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot:Pro tio, ke vi ne auxskultis Miajn vortojn,

⁸Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies: Because you have not heard my words,

⁹jen Mi sendos kaj kolektos cxiujn nordajn gentojn, diras la Eternulo, kaj Mian servanton Nebukadnecar, regxo de Babel, kaj Mi venigos ilin sur cxi tiun landon kaj sur gxiajn logxantojn kaj sur cxiujn naciojn cxirkauxe; kaj Mi elmetos ilin al ekstermo, kaj Mi faros ilin ruinoj, mokatajxo, kaj eterna dezertajxo.

⁹behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says Yahweh, and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

¹⁰Kaj Mi cxesigos cxe ili la sonojn de gxojo kaj la sonojn de gajeco, la vocxon de fiancxo kaj la vocxon de fiancxino, la bruon de muelilo kaj la lumon de lucerno.

¹⁰Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.

¹¹Kaj cxi tiu tuta lando farigxos ruino kaj dezerto; kaj tiuj nacioj servos al la regxo de Babel dum sepdek jaroj.

¹¹This whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

¹²Sed kiam finigxos la sepdek jaroj, Mi punos la regxon de Babel kaj tiun nacion, diras la Eternulo, pro gxiaj malbonagoj, kaj la landon HXaldean, kaj Mi faros gxin eterna dezerto.

¹²It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says Yahweh, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate forever.

¹³Kaj Mi plenumos super tiu lando cxiujn Miajn vortojn, kiujn Mi diris pri gxi, cxion, kio estas skribita en cxi tiu libro, kion Jeremia profetis pri cxiuj nacioj.

¹³I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.

¹⁴CXar ankaux ilin sklavigos potencaj nacioj kaj grandaj regxoj, kaj Mi repagos al ili laux iliaj agoj kaj laux la faroj de iliaj manoj.

¹⁴For many nations and great kings shall make bondservants of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.

¹⁵CXar tiele diras al mi la Eternulo, Dio de Izrael:Prenu el Mia mano cxi tiun pokalon de la vino de furiozo, kaj trinkigu el gxi cxiujn naciojn, al kiuj Mi sendas vin.

¹⁵For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, to me: take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.

¹⁶Ili trinku, ili sxanceligxu kaj frenezigxu antaux la glavo, kiun Mi sendos sur ilin.

¹⁶They shall drink, and reel back and forth, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.

¹⁷Kaj mi prenis la pokalon el la mano de la Eternulo, kaj trinkigis al cxiuj popoloj, al kiuj sendis min la Eternulo:

¹⁷Then took I the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:

¹⁸al Jerusalem kaj al la urboj de Judujo, al iliaj regxoj kaj al iliaj eminentuloj, por fari ilin dezertajxo kaj ruino, mokatajxo kaj malbenatajxo, kiel tio estas nun;

¹⁸Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;

¹⁹al Faraono, regxo de Egiptujo, kaj al liaj servantoj kaj al liaj eminentuloj kaj al lia tuta popolo;

¹⁹Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;

²⁰kaj al cxiuj diversgentaj popoloj kaj al cxiuj regxoj de la lando Uc kaj al cxiuj regxoj de la lando Filisxta kaj al Asxkelon kaj al Gaza kaj al Ekron kaj al la restajxo de Asxdod;

²⁰and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of the Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;

²¹al Edom kaj al Moab kaj al la Amonidoj;

²¹Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;

²²kaj al cxiuj regxoj de Tiro kaj al cxiuj regxoj de Cidon kaj al la regxoj de la insuloj trans la maro;

²²and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;

²³al Dedan, al Tema, al Buz, kaj al cxiuj, kiuj tondas la harojn sur la tempioj;

²³Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off;

²⁴kaj al cxiuj regxoj de Arabujo, kaj al cxiuj regxoj de la diversgentaj popoloj, logxantaj en la dezerto;

²⁴and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;

²⁵kaj al cxiuj regxoj de Zimri kaj al cxiuj regxoj de Elam kaj al cxiuj regxoj de Medujo;

²⁵and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;

²⁶kaj al cxiuj regxoj de la nordo, la proksimaj kaj la malproksimaj, unu kontraux la alia, kaj al cxiuj regnoj de la mondo, kiuj trovigxas sur la tero; kaj la regxo de SXesxahx trinkos post ili.

²⁶and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.

²⁷Kaj diru al ili:Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot, Dio de Izrael:Trinku kaj ebriigxu, vomu kaj falu, kaj ne levigxu antaux la glavo, kiun Mi sendas sur vin.

²⁷You shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

²⁸Kaj se ili ne volos preni la pokalon el via mano, por trinki, tiam diru al ili:Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot:Vi nepre devas trinki.

²⁸It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies: You shall surely drink.

²⁹CXar jen sur la urbon, kiu portas sur si Mian nomon, Mi komencas sendi suferojn; cxu vi do restos senpunaj? vi ne restos sen puno, cxar Mi vokas glavon sur cxiujn logxantojn de la tero, diras la Eternulo Cebaot.

²⁹For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.

³⁰Profetu al ili cxion cxi tion, kaj diru al ili:La Eternulo ekbruos de alte, kaj el Sia sankta logxejo Li auxdigos Sian vocxon; Li forte ekbruos kontraux Sian restadejon; kanton de vinpremantoj Li eksonigos super cxiuj logxantoj de la tero.

³⁰Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and tell them, Yahweh will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.

³¹La bruo atingos gxis la fino de la tero; cxar la Eternulo havos jugxon kontraux la popoloj, Li jugxos cxiun karnon; la malpiulojn Li transdonos al glavo, diras la Eternulo.

³¹A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, says Yahweh.

³²Tiele diras la Eternulo Cebaot:Jen plago iros de popolo al popolo, kaj granda ventego levigxos de la randoj de la tero.

³²Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.

³³Kaj la mortigitoj de la Eternulo en tiu tago estos de unu fino de la tero gxis la alia fino de la tero; ili ne estos priplorataj, ne estos kolektataj, nek enterigataj; ili farigxos sterko sur la suprajxo de la tero.

³³The slain of Yahweh shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground.

³⁴Ploru, ho pasxtistoj, kriu kaj rulu vin en polvo, ho regantoj de la sxafoj; cxar venis por vi la tempo de bucxo; Mi disjxetos vin, kaj vi disfalos, kiel multekosta vazo.

³⁴Wail, you shepherds, and cry; and wallow in dust, you principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and you shall fall like a goodly vessel.

³⁵Kaj ne ekzistos forkuro por la pasxtistoj, nek forsavigxo por la regantoj de la sxafaro.

³⁵The shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.

³⁶Estos auxdata kriado de la pasxtistoj kaj plorado de la regantoj de la sxafaro, cxar la Eternulo faros ekstermon en ilia sxafaro.

³⁶A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock! for Yahweh lays waste their pasture.

³⁷Disfalos la pacaj logxejoj antaux la flama kolero de la Eternulo.

³⁷The peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.

³⁸Li forlasis Sian lauxbon kiel leono; ilia lando farigxis dezerto de la kolero de la atakanto kaj de Lia flama kolero.

³⁸He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.
