1Exult, ye righteous, in Jehovah: praise is comely for the upright.
2Tänage Issandat kandlega; kümnekeelse naabliga mängige talle!
2Give thanks unto Jehovah with the harp; sing psalms unto him with the ten-stringed lute.
3Laulge talle uus laul, helistage pillikeeli rõõmuhõisetega!
3Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud sound.
4Sest Issanda sõna on õige, kõik tema tööd on tehtud ustavuses.
4For the word of Jehovah is right, and all his work is in faithfulness.
5Tema armastab õigust ja õiglust; Issanda heldus täidab maa.
5He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the loving-kindness of Jehovah.
6Issanda sõnaga on tehtud taevad ja tema suu hingusega kõik nende väed.
6By the word of Jehovah were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
7Ta kogub mere veed nagu paisu taha, ta paneb ürgveed varaaitadesse.
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; he layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
8Kartku Issandat kogu ilmamaa, tema ees värisegu kõik maailma elanikud!
8Let all the earth fear Jehovah; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9Sest tema ütles, ja nõnda see sai; tema käskis, ja see tuli esile.
9For *he* spoke, and it was [done]; *he* commanded, and it stood fast.
10Issand ajab nurja paganate nõu, ta teeb tühjaks rahvaste mõtted.
10Jehovah frustrateth the counsel of the nations; he maketh the thoughts of the peoples of none effect.
11Issanda nõu püsib igavesti, tema südame mõtted põlvest põlve.
11The counsel of Jehovah standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
12Õnnis on rahvas, kelle Jumal on Issand, rahvas, kelle tema on valinud enesele pärisosaks.
12Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, the people that he hath chosen for his inheritance!
13Issand vaatab taevast, ta näeb kõiki inimlapsi.
13Jehovah looketh from the heavens; he beholdeth all the sons of men:
14Oma elamu paigast ta vaatleb kõiki ilmamaa elanikke,
14From the place of his habitation he looketh forth upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15tema, kes valmistab nende südamed, paneb tähele kõiki nende tegusid.
15He who fashioneth the hearts of them all, who considereth all their works.
16Ei kuningas saa võitu suure sõjaväega, ei pääse kangelane suure rammu abil.
16The king is not saved by the multitude of [his] forces; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
17Petlik on sõjaratsule rajatud võidulootus, ta suur jõud ei päästa.
17The horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth he deliver by his great power.
18Vaata, Issanda silm on nende peal, kes teda kardavad ja tema heldust ootavad,
18Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his loving-kindness,
19et tema tõmbaks nende hinge välja surmast ja hoiaks neid elus näljaajal.
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20Meie hing ootab Issandat, meie abi ja meie kilp on tema.
20Our soul waiteth for Jehovah: he is our help and our shield.
21Sest temas on rõõmus meie süda ja me loodame tema püha nime peale.
21For in him shall our heart rejoice, because we have confided in his holy name.
22Sinu heldus, Issand, olgu meie peal, nõnda nagu me ootame sind!
22Let thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.
