1Ifariziyen slan s Sidna Ɛisa yesɛa aṭas n inelmaden yerna yesseɣḍas imdanen akteṛ n Yeḥya.
1When therefore the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus makes and baptises more disciples than John
2Lameɛna Sidna Ɛisa mačči d nețța s yiman-is i gesseɣḍasen lɣaci, ccɣel-agi yeǧǧa-t i inelmaden-is. Mi geẓra Sidna Ɛisa belli slan yis,
2(however, Jesus himself did not baptise, but his disciples),
3yeffeɣ si tmurt n at Yahuda. Iwakken ad yuɣal ɣer tmurt n Jlili,
3he left Judaea and went away again unto Galilee.
4ilaq-as ad iɛeddi ɣef tmurt n Samarya.
4And he must needs pass through Samaria.
5Yelḥeq ɣer taddart n Sicar iqeṛben akal i d-yeǧǧa Sidna Yeɛqub i mmi-s Yusef ;
5He comes therefore to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near to the land which Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6dinna i gella lbir n Sidna Yeɛqub. Sidna Ɛisa yeqqim ɣef yiri n lbir akken ad yesteɛfu. Aț-țili d tnac n wass.
6Now a fountain of Jacob's was there; Jesus therefore, being wearied with the way he had come, sat just as he was at the fountain. It was about the sixth hour.
7Yiwet n tmeṭṭut n Samarya tusa-d aț-țagem ; Sidna Ɛisa iluɛa-ț, yenna yas : A tameṭṭut, ma ulac aɣilif efk- yi-d ad sweɣ !
7A woman comes out of Samaria to draw water. Jesus says to her, Give me to drink
8Yuɣ lḥal inelmaden-is ṛuḥen ɣer temdint a d-aɣen ayen ara ččen.
8(for his disciples had gone away into the city that they might buy provisions).
9Tameṭṭut-nni tasamarit tenna-yas : Amek, kečč yellan n wat Isṛail tessutreḍ-iyi-d aț-țesweḍ i nekk yellan ț-țasamarit ? (axaṭer at Isṛail ur țemsaɛaden ara yerna ur țemxalaḍen ara d isamariyen).
9The Samaritan woman therefore says to him, How dost thou, being a Jew, ask to drink of me who am a Samaritan woman? for Jews have no intercourse with Samaritans.
10Sidna Ɛisa yerra-yas : Lemmer teẓriḍ ayen i gebɣa Ṛebbi a m-t-id yefk akk-d win i m-d-yessutren aman, tili d kemm ara s-yessutren a m-d-yefk aț țesweḍ ; nețța, d aman yessidiren ara m-d-yefk.
10Jesus answered and said to her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that says to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11Tameṭṭut-nni tenna-yas : A Sidi, ur tesɛiḍ ara s wacu ara d-tessaliḍ aman yerna lbir-agi lqay. Ansi ara k-d-kken waman-agi yessidiren ?
11The woman says to him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: whence then hast thou the living water?
12Tebɣiḍ eɛni a d-tiniḍ tɛeddaḍ jeddi-tneɣ Yeɛqub i ɣ-d yeǧǧan lbir-agi, i geswan seg-s nețța d warraw-is akk țqeḍɛiyin-is ?
12Art thou greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, and his sons, and his cattle?
13Sidna Ɛisa yerra-yas : Kra n win ara yeswen seg waman-agi ad yuɣal ad iffad,
13Jesus answered and said to her, Every one who drinks of this water shall thirst again;
14lameɛna win ara yeswen seg waman ara s-d-fkeɣ ur yețțuɣal ara ad iffad. Yerna aman ara s-d-fkeɣ ad uɣalen deg-s ț-țaɛwint ur nețɣaṛ ara, a d-tețfeggiḍ seg-s tudert n dayem.
14but whosoever drinks of the water which I shall give him shall never thirst for ever, but the water which I shall give him shall become in him a fountain of water, springing up into eternal life.
15Tameṭṭut-nni tenna-yas : A Sidi, efk-iyi-d seg waman-agi iwakken ur țțuɣaleɣ ara ad ffadeɣ neɣ a d-aseɣ ɣer lbir-agi ad agmeɣ.
15The woman says to him, Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst nor come here to draw.
16Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yas : Ṛuḥ ssiwel-as i wergaz-im tuɣaleḍ-ed ɣer dagi !
16Jesus says to her, Go, call thy husband, and come here.
17Tameṭṭut-nni terra-yas : Ur sɛiɣ ara argaz ! Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yas : Tesɛiḍ lḥeqq imi d-tenniḍ ur sɛiɣ ara argaz.
17The woman answered and said, I have not a husband. Jesus says to her, Thou hast well said, I have not a husband;
18Axaṭer xemsa iberdan i tzewǧeḍ, win yellan yid-em tura mačči d argaz-im ; deg wannect-agi ț-țideț i d-tenniḍ !
18for thou hast had five husbands, and he whom now thou hast is not thy husband: this thou hast spoken truly.
19Nețțat tenna-yas : A Sidi, ɛeqleɣ-k d nnbi i telliḍ.
19The woman says to him, Sir, I see that thou art a prophet.
20Ini-yi-d anwa i gesɛan lḥeqq : lejdud nneɣ isamariyen ɛebbden Ṛebbi ɣef wudrar-agi, ma d kunwi s wat Isṛail teqqaṛem amkan anda i glaq a neɛbed Ṛebbi, d Lquds.
20Our fathers worshipped in this mountain, and ye say that in Jerusalem is the place where one must worship.
21Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yas : A tameṭṭut, amen s wayen ara m-d-iniɣ ! Iteddu-d lweqt anda mačči ɣef wedrar-agi neɣ di Lquds ara yețwaɛbed Baba Ṛebbi.
21Jesus says to her, Woman, believe me, [the] hour is coming when ye shall neither in this mountain nor in Jerusalem worship the Father.
22Kunwi s isamariyen tɛebbdem ayen ur tessinem ara, ma d nukkni nɛebbed ayen nessen axaṭer leslak ițekk-ed seg wegdud n Isṛail.
22Ye worship ye know not what; we worship what we know, for salvation is of the Jews.
23Lameɛna iteddu-d lweqt yerna yewweḍ-ed, anda lmumnin n ṣṣeḥ ad ɛebbden Baba Ṛebbi s Ṛṛuḥ, s tideț, axaṭer d lmumnin-agi n ṣṣeḥ i gebɣa Baba Ṛebbi.
23But [the] hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for also the Father seeks such as his worshippers.
24Imi Ṛebbi d Ṛṛuḥ i gella, ilaq wid ara t-iɛebden a t-ɛebden s Ṛṛuḥ ț-țideț.
24God [is] a spirit; and they who worship him must worship [him] in spirit and truth.
25Tameṭṭut-nni tenna-yas : ?riɣ a d-yas win i gextaṛ Sidi Ṛebbi, win ițțusemman « Lmasiḥ ». Asm'ara d-yas a ɣ-d-yessefhem kra yellan.
25The woman says to him, I know that Messias is coming, who is called Christ; when *he* comes he will tell us all things.
26Sidna Ɛisa yerra-yas : Lmasiḥ, d nekk s yiman-iw !
26Jesus says to her, I who speak to thee am [he].
27Imiren kan wwḍen-d inelmaden is. Wehmen imi i t-id-ufan yețmeslay ț-țmeṭṭut ; lameɛna yiwen deg-sen ur s-yenni : d acu i tebɣiḍ ɣuṛ-es, neɣ iwacu i tețmeslayeḍ yid-es ?
27And upon this came his disciples, and wondered that he spoke with a woman; yet no one said, What seekest thou? or, Why speakest thou with her?
28Dɣa tameṭṭut-nni teǧǧa tacmuxt-is dinna, tuzzel ɣer taddart tenna i lɣaci :
28The woman then left her waterpot and went away into the city, and says to the men,
29Eyyaw aț-țe?rem yiwen yenna-yi-d akk ayen xedmeɣ ! Ad yili d nețța i d Lmasiḥ !
29Come, see a man who told me all things I had ever done: is not he the Christ?
30Lɣaci ffɣen-d si taddart ṛuḥen ad ẓren Sidna Ɛisa.
30They went out of the city and came to him.
31Uqbel a d-yaweḍ lɣaci, inelmaden-is ḥeṛsen-t ad yečč, nnan-as : A Sidi ɛeddi-d aț-țeččeḍ !
31But meanwhile the disciples asked him saying, Rabbi, eat.
32Yenna-yasen : Sɛiɣ lqut ara ččeɣ meɛna kunwi ur teẓrim ara d acu-t.
32But he said to them, I have food to eat which ye do not know.
33Inelmaden qqaṛen wway gar asen : Ahat yella win i s-d-yewwin ad yečč.
33The disciples therefore said to one another, Has any one brought him [anything] to eat?
34Sidna Ɛisa yenna : Lqut-iw, d m'ara xedmeɣ lebɣi n win i yi-d-iceggɛen akken ad kemmleɣ ccɣel i ɣef i yi-iwekkel.
34Jesus says to them, My food is that I should do the will of him that has sent me, and that I should finish his work.
35Kunwi teqqaṛem mazal ṛebɛa wagguren i tmegra ma d nekk a wen-d-iniɣ: ldit allen-nwen aț-țwalim igran weṛṛaɣ-it, wejden i tmegra !
35Do not ye say, that there are yet four months and the harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and behold the fields, for they are already white to harvest.
36Win imeggren yewwi lexlaṣ-is, ijemmeɛ lɣella i tudert n dayem. Akka lfeṛḥ yesdukkel win izerrɛen d win imeggren.
36He that reaps receives wages and gathers fruit unto life eternal, that both he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together.
37Axaṭer ț-țideț lemtel-agi i d-yeqqaṛen : « Yiwen izerreɛ wayeḍ imegger » !
37For in this is [verified] the true saying, It is one who sows and another who reaps.
38Nekk ceggɛeɣ-kkun aț-țmegrem anda ur tezriɛem ara, anda i nɛețțaben wiyaḍ ; nutni nɛețțaben, kunwi tɣelltem lɣella n leɛtab-nsen.
38I have sent you to reap that on which ye have not laboured; others have laboured, and ye have entered into their labours.
39Aṭas n isamariyen n taddart-nni i gumnen s Sidna Ɛisa mi d-tcehhed fell-as tmeṭṭut-nni s imeslayen-agi : «yenna-yi-d akk ayen i xedmeɣ !»
39But many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him because of the word of the woman who bore witness, He told me all things that I had ever done.
40Mi wwḍen ɣuṛ-es isamariyen-nni, ḥellelen Sidna Ɛisa ad iqqim yid-sen. Dɣa yeqqim yid-sen sin wussan.
40When therefore the Samaritans came to him they asked him to abide with them, and he abode there two days.
41Aṭas nniḍen i gumnen yis mi slan i imeslayen-is.
41And more a great deal believed on account of his word;
42Nnan-as i tmeṭṭut-nni : Tura numen yis mačči kan ɣef wayen i ɣ-d-tenniḍ fell-as, nesla yas s yiman-nneɣ, neẓra belli d nețța i d amcafeɛ n ddunit.
42and they said to the woman, [It is] no longer on account of thy saying that we believe, for we have heard him ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Saviour of the world.
43Mi ɛeddan sin wussan, Sidna Ɛisa iṛuḥ syenna ɣer tmurt n Jlili.
43But after the two days he went forth thence and went away into Galilee,
44Yenna-yasen : « Ulac nnbi yesɛan leqdeṛ di tmurt-is. »
44for Jesus himself bore witness that a prophet has no honour in his own country.
45Mi gewweḍ ɣer tmurt n Jlili, lɣaci sṭreḥben yis s lfeṛḥ d ameqqran imi ula d nutni ḥedṛen i lɛid n Tfaska di temdint n Lquds, ẓran akk lbeṛhanat i gexdem dinna.
45When therefore he came into Galilee, the Galileans received him, having seen all that he had done in Jerusalem during the feast, for they also went to the feast.
46Yuɣal iɛedda ɣef taddart n Kana di tmurt n Jlili anda akken i gerra aman d ccṛab. Yella yiwen lḥakem n ddewla n temdint n Kafernaḥum yesɛa mmi-s yuḍen yenṭer.
46He came therefore again to Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain courtier in Capernaum whose son was sick.
47He, having heard that Jesus had come out of Judaea into Galilee, went to him and asked [him] that he would come down and heal his son, for he was about to die.
48Sidna Ɛisa yenna-yas : M'ur twalam ara licaṛat d lbeṛhanat ur tețțamnem ara ?
48Jesus therefore said to him, Unless ye see signs and wonders ye will not believe.
49Lḥakem n ddewla yenna-yas : A Sidi, di leɛnaya-k ɣiwel uqbel ad yemmet mmi !
49The courtier says to him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50Sidna Ɛisa yerra-yas : Ṛuḥ, atan mmi-k yeḥla ! Argaz-nni yumen s wayen i s-d yenna Sidna Ɛisa, dɣa yuɣal
50Jesus says to him, Go, thy son lives. And the man believed the word which Jesus said to him, and went his way.
51ɣer wexxam-is. Mi gteddu ɣer wexxam, mmugren-t-id iqeddacen-is nnan-as : Mmi-k yeḥla !
51But already, as he was going down, his servants met him and brought [him] word saying, Thy child lives.
52Yesteqsa-ten anta ssaɛa i deg yeḥla, rran-as-ed : Iḍelli ɣef lweḥda n tmeddit i t-teffeɣ tawla.
52He inquired therefore from them the hour at which he got better. And they said to him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53Baba-s n weqcic-nni yewwi-d s lexbaṛ belli di ssaɛa-nni i s-d-yenna Sidna Ɛisa « Mmi-k yeḥla » i geḥla mmi-s, seg imiren yumen nețța d wat wexxam-is meṛṛa.
53The father therefore knew that [it was] in that hour in which Jesus said to him, Thy son lives; and he believed, himself and his whole house.
54D wagi i d lbeṛhan wis sin i gexdem Sidna Ɛisa di tmurt n Jlili mi d-yuɣal si tmurt n Yahuda.
54This second sign again did Jesus, being come out of Judaea into Galilee.
