Darby's Translation

Romans

10

1Ay atmaten, ayen i țmenniɣ deg ul-iw, d leslak n wat Isṛail meṛṛa, acḥal i ssutreɣ di Ṛebbi ɣef ddemma-nsen iwakken ad țțuselken.
1Brethren, the delight of my own heart and my supplication which [I address] to God for them is for salvation.
2Axaṭer zemreɣ ad cehdeɣ fell-asen belli ẓewṛen, bɣan ad ɛeǧben i Sidi Ṛebbi meɛna txuṣṣ-iten tmusni.
2For I bear them witness that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3Imi ur ḥsiben ara lḥeqq i d yețțasen s ɣuṛ Ṛebbi yerna țnadin ad sbedden lḥeqq-nsen iman-nsen, ur ḍuɛen ara lḥeqq i d-yețțasen s ɣuṛ Ṛebbi ;
3For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own [righteousness], have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
4axaṭer Lmasiḥ, d nețța i ț-țaggara n ccariɛa, i d lḥeqq n wid yumnen meṛṛa.
4For Christ is [the] end of law for righteousness to every one that believes.
5Atah wayen yura Sidna Musa ɣef lḥeqq i d-ițekken si ccariɛa : Amdan ara ixedmen ayen i d-tenna ccariɛa, ad yidir yis.
5For Moses lays down in writing the righteousness which is of the law, The man who has practised those things shall live by them.
6Lameɛna atah wamek ițmeslay lḥeqq i d-ițasen si liman : ur qqaṛ ara deg ul-inek anwa ara yalin ɣer igenni ; amakken Lmasiḥ ur d-iṣubb ara syenna
6But the righteousness of faith speaks thus: Do not say in thine heart, Who shall ascend to the heavens? that is, to bring Christ down;
7Neɣ anwa ara iṣubben ɣer laxeṛt ? amakken ur d-yeḥyi ara Lmasiḥ si ger lmegtin .
7or, Who shall descend into the abyss? that is, to bring up Christ from among [the] dead.
8Acu i d teqqaṛ ihi ? Awal n tudert atan ɣuṛ-ek, deg imi-k d wul-ik . Awal-agi d awal n liman, d awal i nețbecciṛ.
8But what says it? The word is near thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:
9Ma tcehdeḍ s yimi-k belli Sidna Ɛisa d Ssid-ik, ma tumneḍ deg wul-ik belli Sidi Ṛebbi isseḥya-t-id si ger lmegtin, atan aț-țețțuselkeḍ.
9that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved.
10Axaṭer ma yella tumneḍ seg wul, Sidi Ṛebbi a k-iḥseb d aḥeqqi ; ma tcehdeḍ s yimi-k aț-țețțuselkeḍ.
10For with [the] heart is believed to righteousness; and with [the] mouth confession made to salvation.
11Akken i t-id-nnant tira iqedsen : Kra n win yumnen yis weṛǧin ad inneḥcam.
11For the scripture says, No one believing on him shall be ashamed.
12Ihi ulac lxilaf ger wat Isṛail akk-d wid ur nelli ara n wat Isṛail ; imi yiwen n Ṛebbi i gellan, ṭṭfen meṛṛa deg-s, nețța i d-yețțaken mbla ceḥḥa i wid akk ineddhen ɣuṛ-es.
12For there is no difference of Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all [is] rich towards all that call upon him.
13Akken yura : Kra win ara yedɛun s yisem-is ad ițțusellek.
13For every one whosoever, who shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved.
14Amek ara dɛun ɣuṛ-es ma yella ur uminen ara yis ? Amek ara amnen ma yella ur slin ara yis ? Amek daɣen ara slen yis ma ulac win i sen-ihedṛen fell-as ?
14How then shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe on him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without one who preaches?
15Amek ara yilin wid ara d-ihedṛen fell-as ma yella ur țțuceggɛen ara ? Akken yura di tira iqedsen : Acḥal yelha m'ara nwali teddun-d ɣuṛ-nneɣ wid ițbecciṛen lexbaṛ n lxiṛ.
15and how shall they preach unless they have been sent? according as it is written, How beautiful the feet of them that announce glad tidings of peace, of them that announce glad tidings of good things!
16Lameɛna ur qbilen ara meṛṛa lexbaṛ-agi n lxiṛ. Nnbi Iceɛya yenna daɣen : A Sidi, anwa i gumnen s wayen i nberreḥ ?
16But they have not all obeyed the glad tidings. For Esaias says, Lord, who has believed our report?
17S wakka liman ițțas-ed seg wayen i nsell yeɛnan awal n Lmasiḥ.
17So faith then [is] by a report, but the report by God's word.
18Lameɛna ma nenna-d : ahat ur slin ara ? Atah wayen yuran : ?ṣut-nsen inuda ddunit meṛṛa, lehduṛ-nsen wwḍen ɣer ixfawen n ddunit.
18But I say, Have they not heard? Yea, surely, Their voice has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the extremities of the habitable world.
19Nezmer a d-nini : ahat ur ẓrin ara wat Isṛail ? Lameɛna d Musa i d-ixebbṛen d amezwaru s ɣuṛ Sidi Ṛebbi mi d-yenna : A wen-d-ssekkreɣ tismin ɣef win ur nelli ara d agdud ; a kkun-id-yas wurrif ɣef wegdud ur nesɛi lefhama.
19But I say, Has not Israel known? First, Moses says, *I* will provoke you to jealousy through [them that are] not a nation: through a nation without understanding I will anger you.
20 Nnbi Iceɛya yessaweḍ armi genna : Ufan-iyi wid ur nennuda ara fell-i, sbeggneɣ-d iman-iw i wid ur nqelleb ara ad iyi-ssinen.
20But Esaias is very bold, and says, I have been found by those not seeking me; I have become manifest to those not inquiring after me.
21Meɛna ɣef wat Isṛail yenna : ?elqeɣ ifassen-iw ṭul n wass ɣer wegdud i yi-ixulfen, i yi-iɛuṣan.
21But unto Israel he says, All the day long I have stretched out my hands unto a people disobeying and opposing.
