Darby's Translation

Romans

2

1Ulac fell-ak ssmaḥ a win ițḥasaben wiyaḍ, axaṭer akken tebɣuḍ tiliḍ, mi tețḥasabeḍ wiyaḍ, d iman-ik i tḥusbeḍ, imi kečč i ten-ițḥasaben txeddmeḍ am nutni.
1Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, every one who judgest, for in that in which thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2Neẓra belli Sidi Ṛebbi iḥekkem s lḥeqq ɣef wid ixeddmen lecɣal-agi.
2But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who do such things.
3I kečč i gețḥasaben wid ixeddmen lecɣal-agi, ma txeddmeḍ am nutni, tɣileḍ aț-țmenɛeḍ i lḥisab n Sidi Ṛebbi ?
3And thinkest thou this, O man, who judgest those that do such things, and practisest them [thyself], that *thou* shalt escape the judgment of God?
4Eɛni tḥeqṛeḍ leḥnana d ṣṣbeṛ i gesɛa Sidi Ṛebbi mbla ceḥḥa ? Ur teẓriḍ ara belli iṣebber-ak s leḥnana-s iwakken aț-țbeddleḍ tikli ?
4or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?
5Lameɛna kečč yesɣaṛayen ul-ik tugiḍ aț-țbeddleḍ tikli, tețheggiḍ i yiman-ik lɛiqab ameqqran i wass n lḥisab, ass i deg ara d-ibin wurrif akk-d lḥeqq n Sidi Ṛebbi
5but, according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up to thyself wrath, in [the] day of wrath and revelation of [the] righteous judgment of God,
6 ara yerren i mkul yiwen ayen yexdem .
6who shall render to each according to his works:
7ad yefk tudert n dayem i wid ixeddmen lxiṛ s ṣṣbeṛ, yețnadin ɣef lɛezz d lḥeṛma akk-d tudert n dayem.
7to them who, in patient continuance of good works, seek for glory and honour and incorruptibility, life eternal.
8Ma d wid yellan d imcumen, ikeṛhen tideț, ixeddmen lbaṭel, a d-isseɣli fell-asen urrif ț-țwaɣit ;
8But to those that are contentious, and are disobedient to the truth, but obey unrighteousness, [there shall be] wrath and indignation,
9a d-isseɣli daɣen ccedda ț-țwaɣit ɣef yal amdan ixeddmen cceṛ, di tazwara ɣef wat Isṛail, a d-ḍefṛen leǧnas nniḍen.
9tribulation and distress, on every soul of man that works evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek;
10Meɛna a d-ițțunefk lɛezz d lḥeṛma akk-d lehna i kra n win ixeddmen lxiṛ, i wat Isṛail uqbel, a d-ḍefṛen leǧnas nniḍen.
10but glory and honour and peace to every one that works good, both to Jew first and to Greek:
11?er Sidi Ṛebbi ulac lxilaf ger yemdanen.
11for there is no acceptance of persons with God.
12Kra n wid ara idenben, ur nessin ara ccariɛa n Musa, asm'ara mmten ur tḥekkem ara fell-asen ; ma d win ara idenben yili yessen ccariɛa, d ccariɛa ara t-iḥasben.
12For as many as have sinned without law shall perish also without law; and as many as have sinned under law shall be judged by law,
13Mačči d wid ismeḥsisen kan i ccariɛa i gețwaḥesben d iḥeqqiyen ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi, meɛna d wid i gxeddmen ayen i d-tenna.
13(for not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
14Leǧnas ur nessin ara ccariɛa, i gxeddmen s nneya-nsen ayen i d-tenna, uɣalen d ccariɛa i yiman-nsen ɣas akken ur ț-sɛin ara.
14For when [those of the] nations, which have no law, practise by nature the things of the law, these, having no law, are a law to themselves;
15Beggnen-d s tikli-nsen belli ayen i d-tenna ccariɛa, deg ulawen-nsen i gura. D ulawen-nsen i d-ițbegginen annect-a axaṭer axemmem nsen tikwal ițḥasab-iten, tikwal yețḥuddu fell-asen.
15who shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts accusing or else excusing themselves between themselves;)
16D annect-agi ara d-ibanen asm'ara iḥaseb Sidi Ṛebbi s Ɛisa Lmasiḥ, ayen akk xeddmen yemdanen s tuffra am akken yella di lexbaṛ n lxiṛ i țbecciṛeɣ.
16in [the] day when God shall judge the secrets of men, according to my glad tidings, by Jesus Christ.
17Kečč iḥesben iman-ik si dderya n wat Isṛail, tețțekleḍ ɣef ccariɛa n Musa, tețzuxxuḍ s Ṛebbi ;
17But if *thou* art named a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast in God,
18kečč yessnen lebɣi n Sidi Ṛebbi, teẓriḍ d acu i gelhan imi tesneḍ ccariɛa ;
18and knowest the will, and discerningly approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;
19kečč i gɣilen tzemreḍ aț-țeṭṭfeḍ afus i iderɣalen, aț-țiliḍ ț-țafat n wid yellan di ṭṭlam ;
19and hast confidence that thou thyself art a leader of the blind, a light of those who [are] in darkness,
20kečč iḥesben iman-ik tzemreḍ aț-țesfehmeḍ wid ur nessin, neɣ aț-țiliḍ d ccix n warrac axaṭer tufiḍ di ccariɛa n Musa tamusni akk-d țideț !
20an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and of truth in the law:
21Tesselmadeḍ wiyaḍ, meɛna ur tesselmadeḍ ara iman-ik ;
21thou then that teachest another, dost thou not teach thyself? thou that preachest not to steal, dost thou steal?
22tnehhuḍ wiyaḍ ur țțakren ara, kečč s yiman-ik tețțakreḍ ; tnehhuḍ wiyaḍ ur zennun ara, kečč s yiman-ik tzennuḍ ! Tkeṛheḍ ssadaț, tețțakreḍ lemqamat-nsen !
22thou that sayest [man should] not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
23Tețzuxxuḍ s ccariɛa, meɛna tesseɣlayeḍ lqima n yisem n Sidi Ṛebbi imi ur txeddmeḍ ara ayen i d-teqqaṛ !
23thou who boastest in law, dost thou by transgression of the law dishonour God?
24Axaṭer akken yura di tira iqedsen : ?ef ddemma-nwen i gețwargem yisem n Sidi Ṛebbi ger leǧnas.
24For the name of God is blasphemed on your account among the nations, according as it is written.
25?-țideț, ṭṭhaṛa tenfeɛ ma yella tettabaɛeḍ ccariɛa, meɛna ma yella ur txeddmeḍ ara ayen i d-tenna ccariɛa, am akken ur teḍhiṛeḍ ara.
25For circumcision indeed profits if thou keep [the] law; but if thou be a law-transgressor, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.
26Win ur neḍhiṛ ara, itebɛen ccariɛa, eɛni ur ițwaḥsab ara ɣer Sidi Ṛebbi am akken yeḍheṛ ?
26If therefore the uncircumcision keep the requirements of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision,
27Nețta ur neḍhiṛ ara di lǧețța-s, ixeddmen ayen i d-tenna ccariɛa, izmer a k-iḥaseb kečč iḍehṛen, yesnen ccariɛa meɛna ur txeddmeḍ ara ayen i d-teqqaṛ.
27and uncircumcision by nature, fulfilling the law, judge thee, who, with letter and circumcision, [art] a law-transgressor?
28Win yellan s țideț n wat Isṛail, mačči s uqemmuc kan, neɣ s ṭṭhaṛa i d-ițbanen deg weglim-ines ;
28For he is not a Jew who [is] one outwardly, neither that circumcision which is outward in flesh;
29meɛna mmi-s n wat Isṛail n tideț, d win i t-yellan deg ul-ines, ṭṭhaṛa n ṣṣeḥ d ayen ixeddem Ṛṛuḥ iqedsen deg ul n wemdan, mačči ț-țin ixeddem wemdan s ccariɛa. Amdan am-agi, d Sidi Ṛebbi i t-ițɛuzzun mačči d imdanen.
29but he [is] a Jew [who is so] inwardly; and circumcision, of the heart, in spirit, not in letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but of God.
