1And Job answereth and saith: —
2Marina ary fa ianareo ihany tokoa olombelona! Ary hiara-maty aminareo ny fahendrena!
2Truly — ye [are] the people, And with you doth wisdom die.
3Kanefa izaho mba manan-tsaina tahaka anareo ihany koa; Tsy latsaka noho ianareo aho; Fa iza moa no tsy nahalala izay zavatra toy izany?
3I also have a heart like you, I am not fallen more than you, And with whom is there not like these?
4Tonga fihomehezan'ny sakaizako aho. Dia izaho izay niantso an'Andriamanitra ka novaliany; Eny, tonga fihomehezana ny olona marina tsy manan-tsiny.
4A laughter to his friend I am: `He calleth to God, and He answereth him,` A laughter [is] the perfect righteous one.
5Endrehin-datsa ny ozoim-pahoriana, raha araka ny hevitry ny miadana, eny, vonona ho amin'izay ela mangozohozo ny latsa.[Na: Fanilo milopilony ny ozoim-pahoriana, raha araka ny hevitry ny miadana, ka tandrifiny ho an'izay efa ho tafintohina ihany]
5A torch — despised in the thoughts of the secure Is prepared for those sliding with the feet.
6Mandry fahizay ny lain'ny mpitohatoha, Ary mitoetra tsy manahy izay sahy mampahatezitra an'Andriamanitra, dia izay mitondra ny herin'ny tànany ho andriamaniny
6At peace are the tents of spoilers, And those provoking God have confidence, He into whose hand God hath brought.
7Kanefa anontanio ange ny biby, fa hampianatra anao izy, ary ny voro-manidina, fa hanambara aminao izy;
7And yet, ask, I pray thee, [One of] the beasts, and it doth shew thee, And a fowl of the heavens, And it doth declare to thee.
8Ary makà saina amin'ny tany, dia hampianatra anao izy. Ary ny hazandrano any an-dranomasina hampahalala anao.[Na: amin'ny hazo madinika]
8Or talk to the earth, and it sheweth thee, And fishes of the sea recount to thee:
9Iza no tsy mahalala, raha mandinika ireny rehetra ireny, fa ny nanao izany dia ny tanan'i Jehovah,[Na: Iza amin'ireny rehetra ireny no tsy mahalala]
9`Who hath not known in all these, That the hand of Jehovah hath done this?
10Izay mitana ny ain'ny zava-manan'aina rehetra sy ny fofonain'ny olombelona rehetra?
10In whose hand [is] the breath of every living thing, And the spirit of all flesh of man.`
11Moa tsy ny sofina va no mamantatra ny teny? Ary tsy ny vava va no manandrana ny hanina?
11Doth not the ear try words? And the palate taste food for itself?
12Ao amin'ny fotsy volo ny fahendrena, ary ny fahela-velona no ahazoam-pahalalana.
12With the very aged [is] wisdom, And [with] length of days understanding.
13Ao amin'Andriamanitra kosa no misy fahendrena sy hery; Izy no manana hevitra sy fahalalana.
13With Him [are] wisdom and might, To him [are] counsel and understanding.
14Indro, mandrava Izy, ka tsy hatsangana intsony; Manidy ny olona Izy, ka tsy hovohana.
14Lo, He breaketh down, and it is not built up, He shutteth against a man, And it is not opened.
15Indro, manampina ny rano Izy, ka dia ritra iny; Ary alefany indray ka mahasimba ny tany.
15Lo, He keepeth in the waters, and they are dried up, And he sendeth them forth, And they overturn the land.
16Izy no manana hery sy tena fahendrena; Samy eo an-tanany avokoa ny voafitaka sy ny mpamitaka.
16With Him [are] strength and wisdom, His the deceived and deceiver.
17Alany voninahitra ny mpanolo-tsaina, dia entiny. Ary asehony ny fahadalan'ny mpitsara.
17Causing counsellors to go away a spoil, And judges He maketh foolish.
18Vahany ny fifehezan'ny mpanjaka, ka feheziny mahazaka ny valahany.
18The bands of kings He hath opened, And He bindeth a girdle on their loins.
19Alàny voninahitra ny mpisorona, dia entiny, ary ny mafy orina ela dia ravany.
19Causing ministers to go away a spoil And strong ones He overthroweth.
20Koroiny ny laha-tenin'ny mahay, ary ny fahazavan-tsain'ny anti-panahy dia esoriny.
20Turning aside the lip of the stedfast, And the reason of the aged He taketh away.
21Mandatsaka fanamavoana amin'ny andriandahy Izy, ary ketrahiny ny fehin-kibon'ny matanjaka.
21Pouring contempt upon princes, And the girdle of the mighty He made feeble.
22Manala rakotra izay lalina Izy mba tsy ho maizina ary mitondra ny aloky ny fahafatesana ho eo amin'ny mazava.
22Removing deep things out of darkness, And He bringeth out to light death-shade.
23Mahalehibe ny firenena Izy, nefa mandringana azy koa, mampihahaka ny firenena Izy, nefa mitondra azy hody indray.
23Magnifying the nations, and He destroyeth them, Spreading out the nations, and He quieteth them.
24Mahavery saina ny loholona amin'ny tany Izy ary mampirenireny azy any an-efitra tsy misy lalana;Mitsapatsapa amin'ny maizina tsy misy mavaza ireo; ary mampivembena azy tahaka ny olona mamo Izy.
24Turning aside the heart Of the heads of the people of the land, And he causeth them to wander In vacancy — no way!
25Mitsapatsapa amin'ny maizina tsy misy mavaza ireo; ary mampivembena azy tahaka ny olona mamo Izy.
25They feel darkness, and not light, He causeth them to wander as a drunkard.
