Proverbs

9

1[Ny fiantsoan'ny fahendrena sy ny fahadalana] Ny fahendrena efa nanao ny tranony; Efa nipaika ny andriny fito izy;
1Wisdom hath builded her house, She hath hewn out her pillars — seven.
2Efa namono ny bibiny sy nangaroharo ny divainy izy Ary efa namelatra ny latabany koa;
2She hath slaughtered her slaughter, She hath mingled her wine, Yea, she hath arranged her table.
3Ary efa naniraka ny ankizivaviny izy; Miantso eny an-tampon'ny fitoerana avo any an-tanàna izy ka manao hoe:
3She hath sent forth her damsels, She crieth on the tops of the high places of the city:
4Izay kely saina, dia aoka izy hankatỳ; Ary amin'izany tsy ampy saina dia hoy izy:
4`Who [is] simple? let him turn aside hither.` Whoso lacketh heart: she hath said to him,
5Avia, hano ny mofoko, Ary sotroy ny divay voaharoharoko.
5`Come, eat of my bread, And drink of the wine I have mingled.
6Ilaozy ny kely saina, dia ho velona ianao, Ary mizora amin'ny lalan'ny fahalalana.[Na: Mitsahara, ry]
6Forsake ye, the simple, and live, And be happy in the way of understanding.
7Izay mananatra ny mpaniratsira dia afa-baraka; Ary izay mananatra ny ratsy fanahy dia hahazo tsiny.
7The instructor of a scorner Is receiving for it — shame, And a reprover of the wicked — his blemish.
8Aza mananatra ny mpaniratsira ianao, fandrao halany; Ny hendry no anaro, dia ho tiany ianao.
8Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee, Give reproof to the wise, and he loveth thee.
9Toroy ny hendry, dia hihahendry izy; Ampianaro ny marina, dia hitombo saina izy.
9Give to the wise, and he is wiser still, Make known to the righteous, And he increaseth learning.
10Ny fahatahorana an'i Jehovah no fiandoham-pahendrena; Ary ny fahafantarana ny Iray Masina no fahazavan-tsaina.
10The commencement of wisdom [is] the fear of Jehovah, And a knowledge of the Holy Ones [is] understanding.
11Fa izaho no hampitomboana ny andronao Sy hanamaroana ny taona hiainanao.
11For by me do thy days multiply, And added to thee are years of life.
12Raha hendry ianao, dia hendry ho an'ny tenanao ihany; Fa raha maniratsira kosa ianao, dia ianao ihany no hiharan'izany.
12If thou hast been wise, thou hast been wise for thyself, And thou hast scorned — thyself bearest [it].
13Ny fahadalana dia toy ny vehivavy vavàna; Kely saina izy ka tsy mahalala na inona na inona.
13A foolish woman [is] noisy, Simple, and hath not known what.
14Fa mipetraka eo am-baravaran'ny tranony izy, Ary amin'ny seza eny amin'ny fitoerana avo eo an-tanàna,
14And she hath sat at the opening of her house, On a throne — the high places of the city,
15Mba hiantso ny mpandalo Izay mizotra amin'ny alehany, ka manao hoe:
15To call to those passing by the way, Who are going straight [on] their paths.
16Aoka hivily atỳ izay kely saina; Ary amin'izay tsy ampy saina dia hoy izy:
16`Who [is] simple? let him turn aside hither.` And whoso lacketh heart — she said to him,
17Mamy ny rano angalarina, Ary fy ny mofo hanina amin'ny fiafenana,Nefa tsy fantany fa ny maty no ao, Ary any amin'ny halalin'ny fiainan-tsi-hita ny olona nasainy.[Heb: Shoela]
17`Stolen waters are sweet, And hidden bread is pleasant.`
18Nefa tsy fantany fa ny maty no ao, Ary any amin'ny halalin'ny fiainan-tsi-hita ny olona nasainy.[Heb: Shoela]
18And he hath not known that Rephaim [are] there, In deep places of Sheol her invited ones!
