1ख्रिस्तामध्ये एकमेकांवर अखंडपणे बंधु व भगिनीसारखी प्रीति करा.
1Let brotherly love remain;
2पाहुणचार करण्याचे विसरू नका. असे करण्याने काहींनी त्यांच्या नकळत देवदूतांचे स्वागत केले आहे.
2of the hospitality be not forgetful, for through this unawares certain did entertain messengers;
3तुम्ही स्वत: त्यांच्याबरोबर तुरुंगात होता असे समजून जे तुरुंगात आहेत त्यांची आठवण करा. तुम्हीही देहात असल्याने जे दु:ख भोगीत आहेत त्यांची आठवण ठेवा.
3be mindful of those in bonds, as having been bound with them, of those maltreated, as also yourselves being in the body;
4सर्वांनी लग्नाचा आदर करावा. व वैवाहिक अशुद्धता असू नये. कारण जे व्यभिचारी व विषयवासनेबद्दल भ्रष्ट आहेत अशा लोकांचा देव न्याय करील.
4honourable [is] the marriage in all, and the bed undefiled, and whoremongers and adulterers God shall judge.
5आपले जीवन पैशाच्या लोभापासून दूर ठेवा व तुमच्याकडे जे आहे त्यातच समाधान माना. कारण देवाने असे म्हटले आहे. “मी कधीही तुला सोडणार नाही, मी कधीही तुला त्यागणार नाही” अनुवाद 31:6
5Without covetousness the behaviour, being content with the things present, for He hath said, `No, I will not leave, no, nor forsake thee,`
6म्हणून आपण खात्रीने म्हणू शकतो “देव माझा साहायकर्ता आहे, मी भिणार नाही. मनुष्य माझे काय करणार?” स्तोत्र. 118:6
6so that we do boldly say, `The Lord [is] to me a helper, and I will not fear what man shall do to me.`
7ज्यांनी तुम्हांला देवाचा संदेश दिला त्या पुढाऱ्यांची आठवण ठेवा. त्यांच्या जीवनातील निष्पत्ती पाहा. आणि त्यांच्या विश्वासाचे अनुकरण करा.
7Be mindful of those leading you, who did speak to you the word of God, whose faith — considering the issue of the behaviour — be imitating,
8येशू ख्रिस्त काल, आज आणि युगानुयुगे सारखाच आहे.
8Jesus Christ yesterday and to-day the same, and to the ages;
9निरनिराळ्या तऱ्हेच्या विचित्र शिकवणुकींमुळे बहकून जाऊ नका. अन्राच्या विधीने नव्हे, तर देवाच्या कृपेने आपली ह्रदये बळकट केलेली फार बरी. कारण अन्राच्या विधींचे पालन करण्याने कोणाचेही हित झालेले नाही.
9with teachings manifold and strange be not carried about, for [it is] good that by grace the heart be confirmed, not with meats, in which they who were occupied were not profited;
10ज्या वेदीवरील अन्र खाण्याचा किंवा सहभागी होण्याचा अधिकार मंडपात सेवा करणाऱ्यांनाही नाही. अशी वेदी आपल्याकडे आहे.
10we have an altar, of which to eat they have no authority who the tabernacle are serving,
11यहूदी मुख्य याजक प्राण्यांचे रक्त परमपवित्रस्थानात पापाचे अर्पण म्हणून घेऊन जातात. परंतु केवळ प्राण्यांची शरीरे छावणीच्या बाहेर नेऊन जाळतात.
11for of those beasts whose blood is brought for sin into the holy places through the chief priest — of these the bodies are burned without the camp.
12म्हणून येशूने सुद्धा स्वत:च्या रक्ताने लोकांना शुद्ध करावे यासाठी नगराच्या वेशी बाहेर दु:ख सोसले,
12Wherefore, also Jesus — that he might sanctify through [his] own blood the people — without the gate did suffer;
13म्हणून आपण छावणीच्या बाहेर जाऊ आणि येशूच्या अपमानाचे वाटेकरी होऊ.
13now, then, may we go forth unto him without the camp, his reproach bearing;
14कारण कायमस्वरूपी असे नगर आपल्याला येथे नसले तरी भविष्याकाळात येणारे जे नगर आहे त्याच्याकडे आपण पाहत आहोत.
14for we have not here an abiding city, but the coming one we seek;
15तर मग आपण येशूच्या द्वारे स्तुतीचा यज्ञ सातत्याने करू या. म्हणजे त्याचे नाव आपल्या ओठांनी सतत घेऊ या
15through him, then, we may offer up a sacrifice of praise always to God, that is, the fruit of lips, giving thanks to His name;
16आणि इतरांसाठी चांगले ते करण्यास आणि दानधर्म करण्यास विसरू नका. कारण अशा अर्पणाने देवाला संतोष होतो.
16and of doing good, and of fellowship, be not forgetful, for with such sacrifices God is well-pleased.
17आपल्या पुढाऱ्यांच्या आज्ञा पाळा आणि त्यांच्या अधीन असा. ज्यांना हिशेब द्यावयाचा असतो त्यांच्याप्रमाणे तुमच्या जीवासंबंधाने ते जागरूक असतात, त्यांच्या आज्ञा पाळा यासाठी की, त्यांनी त्यांचे काम दु:खाने न करता आनंदाने करावे.
17Be obedient to those leading you, and be subject, for these do watch for your souls, as about to give account, that with joy they may do this, and not sighing, for this [is] unprofitable to you.
18आमच्यासाठी प्रार्थना करा. आमची सदसदविवेक बुध्दि शुद्ध आहे याविषयी आमची खात्री आहे आणि सर्व बाबतीत जे नेहमी बरोबर आहे तेच सदैव करीत राहावे अशी आमची इच्छा आहे.
18Pray for us, for we trust that we have a good conscience, in all things willing to behave well,
19मी तुम्हांला विनति करतो की, देवाने मला लवकरच तुमच्याकडे परत पाठवावे म्हणून प्रार्थना करा.
19and more abundantly do I call upon [you] to do this, that more quickly I may be restored to you.
20ज्या शांतीच्या देवाने आपल्या मेंढरांचा (म्हणजे आपल्या लोकांचा) मेंढपाळ, आपला प्रभु येशू ख्रिस्त याला रक्ताच्या युगानुयुगाच्या नव्या कराराद्धारे उठविले.
20And the God of the peace, who did bring up out of the dead the great shepherd of the sheep — in the blood of an age-during covenant — our Lord Jesus,
21त्याची इच्छा पूर्ण करायला तुम्हांला चांगल्या गोष्टींनी सिद्ध करो आणि येशू ख्रिस्ताच्या द्वारे त्याला संतोष देणारे काम आपल्यामध्ये करो. त्याला युगानुयुगे गौरव असो. आमेन.
21make you perfect in every good work to do His will, doing in you that which is well-pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom [is] the glory — to the ages of the ages! Amen.
22बंधुजनहो, हा जो बोधपर संदेश मी थोडक्यात लिहिला आहे, तो धीर धरून ऐका अशी विनति तुम्हांला करतो.
22And I entreat you, brethren, suffer the word of the exhortation, for also through few words I have written to you.
23आपला बंधु तीमथ्य हा तुरुंगातून सुटला आहे. जर तो लवकर माझ्याकडे आला, तर जेव्हा मी तुम्हाला भेटायला येईन तेव्हा तो मजकडे येईल.
23Know ye that the brother Timotheus is released, with whom, if he may come more shortly, I will see you.
24तुमच्या सर्व पुढाऱ्यांना व देवाच्या सर्व संतांना सलाम सांगा, इटली येथील सर्वजण तुम्हांला सलाम सांगतात.
24Salute all those leading you, and all the saints; salute you doth those from Italy:
25देवाची कृपा तुम्हां सर्वांबरोबर असो. आमेन.
25the grace [is] with you all! Amen.
