1Huan Jobin a dawnga, hichiin a chi a:
1Then Job answered and said,
2Chihtaktakin huchi ahi chih ka thei hi: himahleh Pathian lakah mihing bangchiin a dik thei dia?
2I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
3Amah kisel pih a utlam a hihleh, sang khata khat amah a dawng theikei ding hi.
3If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
4Amah lungtangin a pila, hatnain a thilhihthei ahi: amah douin kua a kikhauhsakin, a lohchingta a oi?
4He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?
5Mualte a suana, a theikei ua, heha amaute a lumleh laiin.
5Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger.
6A mun akipanin lei a singa, huan huaia khuamte aling uh.
6Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
7Ni thu a piaa, huan a suak kei; aksite a bilhkhum ngiungeu hi.
7Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
8Amah kian vante a phalhkhiaa, tuipi kihawt tungah a pai hi.
8Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
9Aman Jangkhua, Zuheisuktun leh Siguk leh simlam aksi tamna munte a bawl hi.
9Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
10Aman sui theih vuallouh thil thupite a hiha; ahi, sim zohlouh thillamdangte.
10Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.
11Ngaiin, ka kiangah a paia, amah ka mu kei: a pai lailaia, himahleh amah ka mu kei hi.
11Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
12Ngaiin, samat a mana, amah kuan a kham thei dia? Bang hih na hia? kuan a kiangah a chi dia.
12Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
13Pathianin a hehna a lakik kei ding; Rahab panpihmite amah nuaiah a kun petmah uhi.
13If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.
14Bangchipheta tawm jawin amah ka dawngin, amah toh ngaihtuah dingin ka thute ka telkhe dia?
14How much less shall I answer him, and choose out my words to reason with him?
15Amah, diktatta zongleng, ka dawng kei ding hi; ka gal kiangah thilngetna ka bawl ding.
15Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
16Samta leng la, huan honna dawngta leh; himahleh ka aw a ngaikhia chih ka um kei ding hi.
16If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
17Huihpiin aman a honkitamsaka, a san omlouin ka liamnate a pungsak hi.
17For he breaketh me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.
18Ka nak a honphal keia, himahleh thangpaihnain a hondimsak hi.
18He will not suffer me to take my breath, but filleth me with bitterness.
19Hatna thu gen leng, ngaiin, Amah a hat hi: huan vaihawmna thu, kuan hun a pe dia?
19If I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?
20Diktatta zongleng, ka kamin a honmohpaih hi: hoihkim ta zongleng, hoihlouin a hontelsak ding hi.
20If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse.
21Hoih kim mahleng, ka kilimsak kei; ka hinna ka musit.
21Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life.
22Khat ahi veka; huaijiakin, Hoihkim leh gilou a hihse tuak, ka chi
22This is one thing, therefore I said it, He destroyeth the perfect and the wicked.
23Jepnain thakhatin hihlum leh, mi hoih thuakna a nuihsan ding hi.
23If the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent.
24Lei mi gilou khuta piakin a om: huaia vaihawmmite maitangte a tuama; amah ahihkeileh, kua a hita dia?
24The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?
25Tuin ka nite laitaipihmi sangin a kinjaw: a tai mang ua, hoih a mu kei uh.
25Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good.
26Long kinte bangin a pai mang uhi: muvanlai samat tunga ngumkiak bangin.
26They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey.
27Ka phunna ka mang ngilh dia, ka mel lungkham ka pai dia, ka kipak ding, chi leng.
27If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself:
28Ka lungkhamna tengteng ka laua, hoih non sa kei ding chih ka thei hi.
28I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent.
29Mohpaihin ka om dia; ahihleh bangdia a thawna semgim ka hia?
29If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
30Vuk tuiin kisilin, ka khutte huchitakin siangsak ngeitak leng;
30If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
31Hinapiin guam sungah na honpai lut thou dia, huan keimah puanten a hon kih ding uh.
31Yet shalt thou plunge me in the ditch, and mine own clothes shall abhor me.
32Kei bangin, amah lah mihing ahi keia, amah ka dawn theihna dingin, vaihawmnaa ka hoh khawm theihna ding un.
32For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.
33Ka kikal uah kou gel honmat theihna dingin, thulaigenmi a om kei hi.
33Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.
34Kei akipanin achiang la meng henla a kihtakhuainain kei honlausak kei hen:Huaichiangin thu ka gen dia, amah ka lau kei ding: keimah ah lah huchibang ka hi ngal kei a.
34Let him take his rod away from me, and let not his fear terrify me:
35Huaichiangin thu ka gen dia, amah ka lau kei ding: keimah ah lah huchibang ka hi ngal kei a.
35Then would I speak, and not fear him; but it is not so with me.
