Ephesians

5

1Huchiin, a ta deihtakte bangin Pathian omdan late hi un;
1Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
2Huan, Krisin a honit a, namtui dinga Pathian kianga thilpiak ding leh kithoihna dinga i sika dia a kipiak bang mahin itnaah om un.
2Walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
3Himahleh, mi siangthoute hiha kilawm himin kingaih leh sianglou tengteng huaihamna toh, na lak uah loh khakin om kei hen.
3But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;
4Zahmohte, thuginalou gente, chiamniuh thu nangawn huaite bang a kilawm lou hi; huaite hih sangin kipahthu gen jaw un.
4nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not appropriate; but rather giving of thanks.
5Kingaihhat leh mi thanghuai leh, mi huaiham himhimin (mi huaiham jaw milim bemi a hi) Kris leh Pathian gamah tanding himhim a neikei uh chih na thei mahmah ngal ua.
5Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.
6Kuamahin thuginalou peuhin honkhem kei uhen; huai thilte jiakin Pathian thangpaihna tuh thumanglou tate tungah a tung naknak ahi.
6Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.
7Huaijiakin amau kikoppih kei un.
7Therefore don’t be partakers with them.
8Tuma lamin mial na hi ua, tun jaw Toupa ah vak na honghita uhi; vak tate bangin om un;
8For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
9Vak gah tuh hoihna leh, diktatna leh, thutak tengteng ahi;
9for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,
10Toupa kipahna lamtak bang ahi hiam zong un.
10proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.
11Huan, mial thilhih gah nei ngei loute ah leng panna himhim neikei unla, pan naksangin a diklouhdan uh theisak jaw un.
11Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
12A guka a thilhih nakte utuh a gen leng a zumhuai ngala.
12For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of.
13Himahleh, thil bangkim a diklouhdan muhtheiha om tuh vak hihlat ahi nak hi; muhtheiha om peuhmah tuh vak ahi ngala.
13But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.
14Huaijiakin, Nang ihmu! hak inla, misi laka kipan thou in. Huchiin, Krisin vak honpe ding, chih ahi.
14Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15Huan, mi pil loute banga om louin, mi pilte banga om jawin, na omdan uah pilvang un;
15Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
16Nite a hoih louh jiakin hun na neih sungun atam theipen sem jel un.
16redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17Huaijiakin hai nuam dah unla, Toupa deihlam bang ahia chih thei jaw un.
17Therefore don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
18Huan, uain khamin om kei un, huaiah tuh kideklouhna a om ngala; Khaa dimin om jaw un,
18Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
19Phatna late, Pathian late, khalam latea kihoupih chiata Toupa kianga na lungtang tengteng ua ging kilawm bawl leh lasain, leh.
19speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20I Toupa Jesu Kris mina, Pathian, Pa ngei kianga, bangkim tunga kipahthu gen gigein.
20giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;
21Kris laudansiamin kiniamkhiak chiat un.
21subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.
22Jite aw, Toupa kianga na kiniamkhiak bang un, noumau pasalte kiangah kiniamkhiak un.
22Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23Kris tuh amah ngei pumpi hondampa hi a, saptuamte lutang a hih mahbangin, pasal tuh ji lutang ahi ngala.
23For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
24Huchiin, saptuamte Kris kianga a kiniamkhiak mahbang un jite tuh bangkim ah a pasalte uh kiangah kiniamkhiak uhen.
24But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
25Pasalte aw, na jite uh it un, Krisin saptuamte a ita, a sik ua a kipiak bangin,
25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;
26Huchia amau tuh tuia sila thua a hihsiangthou theihna dingin;
26that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
27Huan, huchia, saptuamte tuh ninbang lou leh, vuai lou leh, huchibang thil mawngmawng pu loua, siangthou leh gensiatbeia om jawa, amah leh amah tuh saptuamte thupi taka a kipiak theihna dingin.
27that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28Huchimahbangin pasalten leng amau pumpi mah bangin amau jite tuh a it ding uh ahi. Amah ji itpa tuh amah kiit ahi.
28Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.
29Kuamahin amah sa mah aho ngei ngal keia, a vakin a deihthoh zo nak hi, Krisin saptuamte a vaka a deihthoh mah bangin;
29For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly;
30A pumpi hiangte i hi ngal ua.
30because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.
31Huaijiakin pasalin a nu leh a pa paisanin a ji a len chinten dinga, huan, a nih un sa pumkhat a honghita ding uh.
31“For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.”
32Hiai thuguk tuh a thupi hi, himahleh ken jaw Kris leh saptuamte thu ahi ka gen.Abang abang hileh, nou laka kuapeuhmah in amah a kiit bang in a ji it hen; ji mahin leng a pasal zahtak dingin pilvang hen.
32This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.
33Abang abang hileh, nou laka kuapeuhmah in amah a kiit bang in a ji it hen; ji mahin leng a pasal zahtak dingin pilvang hen.
33Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
