1Huan TOUPA thu ka kiangah a hongtunga,
1The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
2Mihing tapa, na nam tate kiangah thu gen inla, akiang uah, Gam tunga namsau ka hontut leh gam miten a lak ua pat mikhat a tel khiak ua, galvilmi dia a koih uleh,
2Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and tell them, When I bring the sword on a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman;
3Aman gam tunga namsau hongtung a muh leh pengkul a mut dinga, mipite a kigalging sak ding;
3if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;
4Huchiiin kuapeuh pengkul ging zaa poisalou mi, namsau hongtungin man loh tamahleh, a sisan moh a mahmahin a po dinga hi.
4then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet, and doesn’t take warning, if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head.
5Pengkul ging a zaka a poisaklouh jiakin a sisan moh a puak mai dinga hi: a napoi sak lebel a hin a humbit sin ahi.
5He heard the sound of the trumpet, and didn’t take warning; his blood shall be on him; whereas if he had taken warning, he would have delivered his soul.
6Himahleh galvilmiin namsau hongtung a muha, a pengkul a mut louha, mipite a kigalgin louh ua, namsau a hongtuna, a lak ua mi kua hiamin a man loh leh a thulimlouhnain a mangthang dinga, a sisan phu galvilmi akipan ka la ding, chiin.
6But if the watchman sees the sword come, and doesn’t blow the trumpet, and the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes, and take any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
7Huchibangin nang, mihing tapa, Israel inkote adia galvil dia ka honbawl na hi; huaijiakin ka kama thu pawt ngaikhia inla, ka kianga kipan kigalginna ding thu a kiang uah hilh in.
7So you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
8Mi gilou kiangah, Aw mi giloupa, si mahmah ding na hi, ka chiha, mi gilou a omdan paisan dinga na hilh kei leh migilou a gitlouhna ah a si dinga, a sisan phu bel nang akipan ka la ding.
8When I tell the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you don’t speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand.
9Himahleh mi gilou a omdan paisan dinga na hilha, a omdan a paisan kei lai leh, a gitlouhna ah a si dinga, nang bel na hin na humbit ding hi.
9Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn’t turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.
10Huan mihing tapa, nang Israel inkote kiang ah thu gen inla, Hichibangin na chi ua, ka tatleknate uh leh ka khelhnate un a hondelhkhuma, huai jiakin ka thanggawp uh ahi, bangchiin ka hing nilouh thei ding ua? Na chi ua;

11A hina ka hin laiteng, mi gilou sihna ah kipahna himhim ka neikeia, mi gilouin a omdan a paisana a hin ka kipahlam ahi zaw. Na omdan hoih lou ua kipan kik un, kik un, Aw Israel inkote, bang dia si ding na hi ua? chih TOUPA PATHIAN thu pawt ahi, chiin genin.
11Tell them, As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, house of Israel?
12Huan nang, mihing tapa, na nam tate kiangah gen inla, Mi diktat diktannain a tatlekna niin amah a humhumbit kei dinga, mi gilou gitlouhnain leng a thulimlouhna a lehngatsan niin a puksak kei dinga, mi diktat lah a khelhna niin a diktatnain a hing thei tuan sam kei ding.
12You, son of man, tell the children of your people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his disobedience; and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither shall he who is righteous be able to live thereby in the day that he sins.
13Mi diktat kiangah, na hing ngeingei ding, chih ka genin, a diktatna muanga thil a hihkhelh leh a thil dik hih khat leng thei gige ahi kei ding; a thil hihkhelhsaah a si zo ding.
13When I tell the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his righteousness, and commit iniquity, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered; but in his iniquity that he has committed, therein shall he die.
14Huan migilou kiangah, ka chih nawn leuleuin, a gitlouhnate a lehngatsana a siang leh a dik a nahiha,
14Again, when I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
15Mi gilouin mi koih khamnate a piak kika, a thil gukte apiak nawna, hinna dante a zuiha, thulimlouhna bangmah a hih kei leh a hing ngeingei dinga, a si kei ding.
15if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
16Khelhna a nahihsa bangmahte theihgige ahi ta kei dinga, a siang leh a dik a na hihtaa, a hing ngeingei ding.
16None of his sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him: he has done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
17Himahleh na nam taten, TOUPA thilhih dan a kikim kei, a chih un amau hih dan a diktat kei zaw ahi ngala.
17Yet the children of your people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
18Mi diktatin a diktatna a lehngatsana, thil gilou a nahih leh huai jiakin a si mai ding.
18When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall even die therein.
19Huan mi gilouin a gitlouhna a lehngatsana, a siang leh a dik a hih leh huai jiakin a hing ding.
19When the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
20Himahleh TOUPA hihdan a kikim kei, na chi ua, aw Israel inkote mi chih noumau hih dan bangbangin ka honlel sak dinga hi, a chi a.
20Yet you say, The way of the Lord is not equal. House of Israel, I will judge every one of you after his ways.

22Huan huai mi taikhia a hong tun ma nitak lamin TOUPAN ka tungah a khut a ngaa; zing lama ka kianga hongpaiin ka kam a honka sak mana, huchiin ka kam ka kaa, pau theilouin ka om ta kei.
22Now the hand of Yahweh had been on me in the evening, before he who was escaped came; and he had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more mute.
23Huan TOUPA thu ka kiangah a hongtunga,
23The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
24Mihing tapa, Israel gama mun segawpsa nunga omten, Abraham khat ahi a, gam a luaha; eite bel tampi i hi ua, gam gouluah dinga piak hita ve hang, chiiin a gen ua.
24Son of man, they who inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.
25Huaijiakin a kiang uah TOUPA PATHIANIN hichiin a chi: Sa sisan na ne ua, na milimte uh lamah na mitte uh na leng tou sak ua; sisan na suah ua, nouten gam na tang ding umaw?
25Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood: and shall you possess the land?
26Na namsau uh na muang ua; thilkihhuai na hih ua; mi chihin invengpa zi na na bawlgawp ua; nouten gam na tang ding uh maw?
26You stand on your sword, you work abomination, and every one of you defiles his neighbor’s wife: and shall you possess the land?
27Hichibanga a kiang ua na gen dinga hi, TOUPA PATHIANIN hichiin a chi ahi; A hina ka hin laiteng, mun segawpsa nunga omte namsauin a puk ngeingei ding ua, gam laka omte sahang kiang ah nek khit dia pe ding ka hi; kulh kip leh khuka omte hipiin a si ding uh.
27You shall tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: As I live, surely those who are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him who is in the open field will I give to the animals to be devoured; and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
28Huan gam leng ka hihsiain, mulkimhuai takin ka bawl dinga; a thilhihtheihna, a kisktheihpih a beita ding; Israel tangte a segawp dinga, kuamah a vialvak nawn ta kei dinguh.
28I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment; and the pride of her power shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, so that none shall pass through.
29Thil kihhuai a hih jiak ua gam ka hihgawpgawpa, mulkimhuai taka ka bawl hun chiangin kei TOUPA ka hi chih a thei ding uh.
29Then shall they know that I am Yahweh, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.

30As for you, son of man, the children of your people talk of you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, everyone to his brother, saying, Please come and hear what is the word that comes forth from Yahweh.
31Huan a honhonin na kiangah a hongpai ding ua, ka mite bang maiin na maah a tu ding ua, na thu a ngaikhe ding ua, himahleh a zui tuan kei ding uh; a kam un itna thupitak a hihlang ding ua, a lungtang un bel punna lam a zuan ding.
31They come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don’t do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.
32Huan ngaiin, nang bel amau adingin itna la, kilawm taka sak leh tum bang na hi ding: na thute a ngaikhia ua, himahleh a zui tuan kei ding uh.Hiai a hongtun hun chiangin (Ngai in, a hong tunglellel hi, ) a lak uah zawlnei a om chih a thei ding uhi, achi hi, chi in, a chi a.
32Behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they don’t do them.
33Hiai a hongtun hun chiangin (Ngai in, a hong tunglellel hi, ) a lak uah zawlnei a om chih a thei ding uhi, achi hi, chi in, a chi a.
33When this comes to pass, (behold, it comes), then shall they know that a prophet has been among them.
