36

1Elihu mahin a gen jela, huchiin a chi a:
1Elihu also continued, and said,
2Honna thuakzou zek inla, huan ka hon ensak ding; Pathian sikin lah banghiam khat gending ka nei ngala.
2“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
3Gamla akipan ka theihna kon la dinga, huan diktatna kei Bawlpa tungah ka nga ding hi.
3I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
4Diktakin ka thute lah juau ahi ngal keia: hoihkim khat lah ka kiangah a om hi.
4For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
5Ngaiin, Pathianin thil a hihtheia, kuamah a musit kei: theihsiamna hatna ah thil a hihthei hi.
5“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.
6Gilou hinna a hawi keia: himahleh gimthuakte kiangah a dikna uh a pia hi.
6He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives to the afflicted their right.
7Mi diktat akipan a mit a la kik keia: himahleh laltutphah tunga kumpipa toh amau khantawnin a koiha, huchiin hihletin a om uhi.
7He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.
8Huan sikkhautea gaka a om ua, gimthuakna guitea laka a om uleh;
8If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,
9Huchiin a thilhih uh amau a ensaka, huan a tatlekna uh, huchia kisatheitaka a na omna uh.
9then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly.
10Thuhilhna lamah a bil uh leng a honsaka, thulimlouhna akipan kik dingin thu a pia hi.
10He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.
11Amah thu a ngaihkhiak ua, a na a sep uh leh, a nite uh hausaknain a hihbei ding ua, a kumte uh kipahnain.
11If they listen and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
12Himahleh a ngaihkhiak kei ua leh, namsauin a mangthang ding ua, huan theihna beiin a si ding uh.
12But if they don’t listen, they shall perish by the sword; they shall die without knowledge.
13Himahleh amau lungtanga pathianilimsaklouhnaten hehna a khol khawm uhi: amau a hen laiin panpih deihin a kikou kei uh.
13“But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them.
14Tuailaiin a si ua, siangloute lakah a hinna uh a mangthang hi.
14They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean.
15A gimthuaknain gimthuakte a suaktasaka, nuaisiah na ah a bil uh a honsak hi.
15He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
16A hi, gakchihna om louhna mun, mun lian lamah dahna akipan nang a honpi mang ta ding a; huan na donkan tunga kilui thaunain a dimta ding hi.
16Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a broad place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.
17Himahleh giloute vaihawmnain na dima: vaihawmna leh diktatnain nang nang a honlen hi.
17“But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.
18Thangpaihna a om jiakin, pilvangin huchilouin jaw na kichinnain nang a honpi mangkha ding hi; tatna letnain leng nang honpialsak sam kei hen.
18Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
19Dahna a na om louhna dingin, na hauhsaknate a hun diam, ahihkeileh na hatna thilhihtheihna tengteng?
19Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?
20Mite tengteng a mun ua sat khiaka a om lai un, jan deih ken.
20Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.
21Pilvangin, gilou limsak ken: gimthuakna sangin hiai lah na telta ngala.
21Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.
22Ngaiin, Pathianin a thilhihtheihnain sangtakin a hih: amah bang sinsakmi kua ahia?
22Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
23Kuan amah a lampi thu a piaa? ahihkeileh, kuan, Diklouhna na bawlta, a chi thei dia?
23Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness?’
24Miten la a asak uh, a thilhih hihlian dingin theigige in.
24“Remember that you magnify his work, whereof men have sung.
25Huaiah mite tengteng a en ua; huai mihing in gamla pi ah a mu hi.
25All men have looked thereon. Man sees it afar off.
26Ngaiin, Pathian a liana, amah I theikei uh: a kumte zah zontheih ahi kei.
26Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.
27Tui takte aman a tawi khin ngala, huai a tuihu akipan vuah a ju:
27For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor,
28Huai vanten a sungkhe suk ua, tampipiin mihing tungah a tak.
28Which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.
29A hi, meipi kiphahte, a in vanpigingte kuamahmahin a theisiam dia?
29Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, and the thunderings of his pavilion?
30Ngaiin, a kimah a khovak a jaka: huan tuipi nuai a tuam hi.
30Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.
31Hiaitein lah mite a vaihawmsak ngala; an tampi a pia hi.
31For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.
32Khophiain a khutte a tuama; huan chiamtehna khoh dingin thu a pia hi.Huai husain a tungtang thu a gena, ganhonten leng hongkuan tou huihpi tungtang thu.
32He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
33Huai husain a tungtang thu a gena, ganhonten leng hongkuan tou huihpi tungtang thu.
33Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also concerning the storm that comes up.
