1Jesu bel Oliv tang ah a hoh a.
1but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2Huan, jingin Pathian biakin ah a lut nawna, mi tengteng a kiangah a hongpai ua; huan, amah a tu a, amau thu a hilh a.
2Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down, and taught them.
3Huan, laigelhmite leh Pharisaiten numei khat a angkawm lai amat uh a honpi ua; huan, a lai ah a ding sak ua,
3The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the midst,
4Jesu kiangah, Sinsakpa, hiai numei a angkawm lai a mat uh ahia, a angkawm lai takin.
4they told him, “Teacher, we found this woman in adultery, in the very act.
5Dan laibu ah, Mosiin hichibang mi jaw suanga denlup thu a honpia hi; nang bangchi na sa a? chi ua.
5Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such. What then do you say about her?”
6Huai thu tuh amah zeetna dia a chih uh ahi, hekna ding a muh theihna ding un. Huchiin Jesu a kuna, a khut zungin lei ah a gelha.
6They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down, and wrote on the ground with his finger.
7Huan, a dot lailai jiakun amah a ding a, a kiang uah, Na lakua khelhna neilou peuhin amah suangin deng masa heh, a chi a.
7But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her.”
8Huan, a kun nawna, a khutzungin lei ah a gelh nawna.
8Again he stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.
9Huan, amau a thugen a jak un, upa penin a pana, a tawp phain, khatkhatin a gel khe jel ua; huchiin Jesu kia a om a, numei a laia a omna ngeia om toh.
9They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
10Huan, Jesu a daktoua, a kiangah, Numei, kaw om ahi ua? Kuamahin siamlouh hontangsak lou hia? a chi a.
10Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, “Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?”
11Huan, aman, Toupa, kuamahin hontangsak kei, a chi a. Huan, Jesun, Ken leng siam louh kon tangsak kei; pai inla, tunungin hihkhial nawnta ken, a chi a.
11She said, “No one, Lord.” Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.”
12Huan, Jesun a kiang uah thu a gen nawna, Kei khovel vak ka hi; kuapeuh honjui tuh mialah a khosa kei hial ding, hinna vak a nei zo ding hi, a chi a,
12Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
13Huchiin Pharisaiten a kiangah, Nangmah thu theisak na hi; na thu theihsak a dik kei hi, a chi ua.
13The Pharisees therefore said to him, “You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.”
14Jesun a kiang uah, Keimah thu theisak nahita leng zong, ka thu theisak a dik ahi; ken ka hongkipatna hiam, ka manohna ding hiam leng, ka thei hi; nouten bel ka hongkipatna hiam, ka manohna ding leng na theikei uhi.
14Jesus answered them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don’t know where I came from, or where I am going.
15Nou sa danin vai na hawmsak uh; ken jaw kuamah vai ka hawmsak kei hi.
15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
16Ahi, vaihawmsak nahita leng zong, ka vaihawmsakna a dik ding; keimah kia ka hi kei a, kei leh Pa honsawlpa ka hi zo ngal ua.
16 Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.
17Ahi, na dan laibu uah leng, Mi nih thu a dik, chih gelh ahi.
17 It’s also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.
18Kei ka hih leh keimah thu theisakpa ka hia, Pa hon sawlpan ka thu a theisak hi, a chi a, a dawng a.
18 I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me.”
19Huan, amau a kiangah, Na pa koiah? a chi ua. Jesun, Nou kei non theikei uh, ka Pa leng na theikei uh; kei honthei hi le uchin, ka Pa leng na thei ding uh, chiin, a dawnga.
19They said therefore to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me, nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
20Huai thu tuh Pathian biakina thu a hilh kawmin, sum koihna muna a gen ahi; kuamahin amah a man sam kei uh, a hun a tun nailouh jiakin.
20Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.
21Huan, aman, a kiang uah, Ka pai mang dinga, nou non zong ding ua, na khelhna uah na si ding uh; ka hohna dingah na hong theikei ding uh, a chi nawna.
21Jesus said therefore again to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can’t come.”
22Huan, Judaten, Ka hohna dingah na hong theikei ding uh, a chih, a kihihlum dia a diam? a chi ua.
22The Jews therefore said, “Will he kill himself, that he says, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come?’
23Huan, aman a kiang uah, Nou nuai lama kipan na hi uh; kei jaw tung lama kipan ka hi; nou hiai khovela na hi uh, kei jaw hiai khovela ka hi kei.
23He said to them, “You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.
24Huaijiakin, na kiang uah, Na khelhna uah na si ding uh, ka chih, huai amah ka hi chih na gin kei ua leh, na khelhna uah na si ngeingei ding uh, a chi a.
24 I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”
25Huan, amau a kiangah, Kua na hi maia ahia? a chi ua. Jesun a kianguah, A tunga kipanin na kiang uah ka genta.
25They said therefore to him, “Who are you?” Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.
26Nou tungtang thu ah thil tampi gen ding leh ngaihtuah ding ka nei; abangabang hi heh aw, honsawlpa jaw mi dik ahi; a kianga thu ka jak peuhmah khovel kiangah ka hilh hi, a chi a.
26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you. However he who sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these I say to the world.”
27Pa thu a kiang uah a gen chih a theikei uh.
27They didn’t understand that he spoke to them about the Father.
28Huchiin, Jesu mahin, Nou mihing Tapa na khaikang nung un, amah ka hi chih leh, ken keimah thuin thil bangmah ka hih keia, Pa in honhilh bang jelin hiai thu ka gen jaw ahi chih na thei ding uhi.
28Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things.
29Honsawlpa tuh ka kiang ah a oma, honensan kei hi; a thil kipahlam peuhmah ka hih jel jiakin, a chi a.
29 He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.”
30Huan, huai thu tuh a gen lain mi tampin amah a gingta ta ua.
30As he spoke these things, many believed in him.
31Huchiin, Jesun a gingta Judate kiangah, Ka thua na om gige uleh, ka nungjuite na hi taktak ding uh;
31Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.
32huan, thutak na thei ding ua, thutakin a honsuaktasak ding, a chi a.
32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
33Huan, amau a kiangah, Abraham suante keive ua, tu tannin kuamah salah ka om ngei kei uh, Suahtaksakin na om ding uh, bangchihchiha chi na hia? a chi ua, a dawng ua.
33They answered him, “We are Abraham’s seed, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free?’
34Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Chihtaktakin chihtaktakin kon hilh ahi, kuapeuh thil hihkhial tuh, khelhna sal ahi,
34Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin.
35Sal tuh chikpeuhin in ah a om gige kei; tapa tuh chikpeuhin a om gige hi.
35 A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever.
36Huchiin, Tapain sal apat a honsuahtaksak leh, na suakta petmah ding uh.
36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
37Abraham suante na hi uh chih ka thei hi, himahle-uchin, honthah na tum ngal ua, ka thuin nou ah omna a neih louh jiakin.
37 I know that you are Abraham’s seed, yet you seek to kill me, because my word finds no place in you.
38Ken ka Pa kianga thil ka muh ka gen a; nou leng na pa u kianga thil na jak uh na hih uh, a chi a.
38 I say the things which I have seen with my Father; and you also do the things which you have seen with your father.”
39Huan, amau a kiangah, Kou pa Abraham ahi, a chi ua, a dawng ua. Huan, Jesun a kiang uah, Abraham tate nana hile uchin, Abraham thil hih na hihta ding uh.
39They answered him, “Our father is Abraham.” Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham.
40Himahleh, Pathian kianga thutak ka jak, nou honhilpa kei tun ah honthah na tum ngal ua; Abrahamin jaw hichibangin a hih kei. Nou jaw na pa uh thil na hih nak uhi, a chi a.
40 But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham didn’t do this.
41Huan, amau a kiangah, Angkikawma piang ka hi kei uh, Pa khat kia ka nei uh, Pathian, a chi ua.
41 You do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. We have one Father, God.”
42Jesun a, kiang uah, Pathian na Pa uh hita leh, nou kei non itta ding uh; Pathian apan hong pawt leh a kianga kipana hongpai ka hi ngala; keimah thua hong leng ka hi sam kei, aman a honsawl jaw ahi.
42Therefore Jesus said to them, “If God were your father, you would love me, for I came out and have come from God. For I haven’t come of myself, but he sent me.
43Bang achia ka pau omdan theilou? Ka thu na laksawn theih louh jiak uh ahi.
43 Why don’t you understand my speech? Because you can’t hear my word.
44Nou jaw na pa uh diabol kianga pawt na hi ua, na pa uh duhgawlna hih na ut uhi. Amah jaw a tunga kipan tualthat ahi, thutak ah a om kei, a sunga thutak himhim a om louh jiakin. Juau thu a genin amaha ngei a gen ahi; juauthei ahi ngala, juaupa leng ahi.
44 You are of your father, the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and doesn’t stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and its father.
45Thutak ka gen jiakin nou hon gingta lou na hi uhi.
45 But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.
46Na lak uah kuan ahia gilou lamah siamlouh hontan thei om? Thutak ka genin leng nou bang achia hon gingta lou?
46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I tell the truth, why do you not believe me?
47Pathian apan pawtin, Pathian thu a pakta nak a; hiaijiakin na pakta kei uhi, Pathian apan pawt na hih louh jiakun, a chi a.
47 He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don’t hear, because you are not of God.”
48Huan, Judaten a kiangah, Samari mi dawi jawl na hi ka chi uh, ka chi dik ngel kei umaw? a chi ua, a dawng ua.
48Then the Jews answered him, “Don’t we say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
49Jesun, Dawi jawl ka hi kei hi; ka Pa kapahtawi ahi jaw, nou ka min hihsia neive ua.
49Jesus answered, “I don’t have a demon, but I honor my Father, and you dishonor me.
50Himahleh, keimah kilawmna zong ka hi kei; a zongmi leh a ngaihtuahmi khat a om ahi.
50 But I don’t seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.
51Chihtaktakin, chihtaktakin kon hilh ahi, min ka thu a zop leh khantawnin sih ni mel a mu kei ding, a chi a.
51 Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.”
52Huan, Judaten a kiangah, Dawi jawl na hi chih tuin ka theita uh. Abraham a sita, jawlneite toh, nang. Min ka thu a zop leh, khantawnin sihna achiam kei ding, na chi ngala.
52Then the Jews said to him, “Now we know that you have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and you say, ‘If a man keeps my word, he will never taste of death.’
53Ka pu uh Abraham sangin na thupijaw ahia? amah leng a sita a, jawlneite leng a sita uh; kuaa kibawl na hia? a chi ua.
53Are you greater than our father, Abraham, who died? The prophets died. Who do you make yourself out to be?”
54Huan, Jesun, Keimah kipahtawi leng ka kilawmna bangding mah ahi kei; ka Pathian uh, na chih uh ka Pa, hon pahtawipa ahi; nou amah na thei ngal kei uhi;
54Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.
55ken jaw amah ka thei; Amah ka theikei, chileng, noumau bang a juau thei mah ka hi ding: huchiin amah ka theia, a thu leng ka jui jel hi.
55 You have not known him, but I know him. If I said, ‘I don’t know him,’ I would be like you, a liar. But I know him, and keep his word.
56Na pu uh Abraham, ka ni mu ding a hih jiakin a nuam mahmah a, huan, a mu pet maha, a kipak mahmah hi, a chi a, a dawnga.
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day. He saw it, and was glad.”
57Huan, Judaten a kiangah, Nang kum sawmnga leng hi nai lou piin, Abaham na mu ahia? a chi ua.
57The Jews therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”
58Jesun a kianguah, Chihtaktakin, chihtaktakin kon hilh ahi, Abraham om main leng ka om, a chi a.Huchiin a denna dingin suang a tawm ua; himahleh Jesu a bu a, Pathian biakin a kipan a pawtta.
58Jesus said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.
59Huchiin a denna dingin suang a tawm ua; himahleh Jesu a bu a, Pathian biakin a kipan a pawtta.
59Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Jesus was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through their midst, and so passed by.
