¹ در روزهای آخر، کوهی که معبد بزرگ خداوند بر آن بنا شده، مشهورترین و بلندترین کوه دنیا می‌شود و ملّتهای مختلف به آنجا می‌آیند

¹But it shall come to pass in the end of days [that] the mountain of Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and the peoples shall flow unto it.

² و خواهند گفت: «بیایید به کوه صهیون و معبد بزرگ خدای اسرائیل برویم. او آنچه را که می‌خواهد ما انجام دهیم به ما خواهند آموخت. ما در راهی که او برگزیده است گام برمی‌داریم. زیرا خداوند در صهیون با قوم خود سخن می‌گوید و تعالیم او از اورشلیم می‌آید.»

²And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and Jehovah's word from Jerusalem.

³ خداوند در بین اقوام جهان داوری می‌کند. اختلافات قدرتهای بزرگ را در دور و نزدیک جهان حل می‌کند. مردم از شمشیرهای خود گاوآهن و از نیزه‌های خود ارّه می‌سازند. قومی به روی قوم دیگر شمشیر نمی‌کشد و برای جنگ و خونریزی آماده نمی‌شود.

³And he shall judge among many peoples, and reprove strong nations, even afar off; and they shall forge their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁴ هرکسی در تاکستان و در زیر سایهٔ درخت انجیر خود، بدون ترس در صلح و امنیّت زندگی خواهد کرد. این وعده را خداوند متعال داده است.

⁴And they shall sit every one under his vine, and under his fig-tree; and there shall be none to make [them] afraid: for the mouth of Jehovah of hosts hath spoken [it].

⁵ اقوام جهان به عبادت خدایان خود می‌پردازند و از آنها پیروی می‌کنند، ولی ما برای همیشه خداوند، خدای خود را ستایش می‌کنیم و او را پیروی خواهیم کرد.

⁵For all the peoples will walk every one in the name of his god; but we will walk in the name of Jehovah, our God for ever and ever.

⁶ خداوند می‌فرماید: «در آن روز مردمان لنگ و غمدیده را که از دیارشان رانده شده بودند، جمع می‌کنم.

⁶In that day, saith Jehovah, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;

⁷ به اشخاص لنگ و بازماندگان قوم که در تبعید به سر می‌برند، زندگی تازه می‌بخشم و آنها را قومی نیرومند می‌سازم. خودم در صهیون، از آن روز تا به ابد، بر آنها سلطنت خواهم کرد.»

⁷and I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation; and Jehovah shall reign over them in mount Zion, from henceforth even for ever.

⁸ ای اورشلیم، جایی که خدا مانند شبان از بُرج دیده‌بانی، مراقب قوم خود می‌باشد، تو دوباره پایتخت پادشاهی خودت خواهی شد.

⁸And thou, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, yea, the first dominion shall come, -- the kingdom to the daughter of Jerusalem.

⁹ چرا فریاد برمی‌آوری؟ چرا مانند زنی که در حال زایمان باشد درد می‌کشی؟ آیا به‌خاطر این است که پادشاهی نداری و مشاورین تو همه مرده‌اند؟

⁹Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished, that pangs have seized thee as a woman in travail?

¹⁰ ای مردم اورشلیم، مانند زنی که می‌زاید از درد به خود بپیچید و بنالید، زیرا شما باید از این شهر بیرون بروید و در صحرا زندگی کنید. شما به بابل برده می‌شوید، امّا در آنجا خداوند به دادتان می‌رسد و شما را از دست دشمنان نجات می‌دهد.

¹⁰Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon: there shalt thou be delivered; there Jehovah will redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

¹¹ اقوام زیادی با هم جمع شده‌اند تا به تو حمله کنند. آنها می‌گویند: «اورشلیم باید نابود شود! ما این شهر را خراب می‌کنیم!»

¹¹And now many nations are assembled against thee, that say, Let her be profaned, and let our eye look upon Zion.

¹² امّا آنها نمی‌دانند که ارادهٔ خداوند چیست و نمی‌فهمند که او روزی آنها را مانند خوشه‌های گندم برای کوبیدن در خرمنگاه جمع خواهد کرد. خداوند می‌فرماید: «ای مردم اورشلیم، بروید و دشمنان خود را مجازات کنید! من شما را همانند گاو نری با شاخ آهنین و سُمهای برنزی قوی می‌گردانم. شما اقوام بسیاری را شکست خواهید داد و اموالی را که بزور گرفته‌اند، به من، خداوند تمام جهان تقدیم خواهید کرد.»

¹²But they know not the thoughts of Jehovah, neither understand they his counsel; for he hath gathered them together as the sheaves into the threshing-floor.

¹³ خداوند می‌فرماید: «ای مردم اورشلیم، بروید و دشمنان خود را مجازات کنید! من شما را همانند گاو نری با شاخ آهنین و سُمهای برنزی قوی می‌گردانم. شما اقوام بسیاری را شکست خواهید داد و اموالی را که بزور گرفته‌اند، به من، خداوند تمام جهان تقدیم خواهید کرد.»

¹³Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion, for I will make thy horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass; and thou shalt beat in pieces many peoples; and I will devote their gain to Jehovah, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.
