¹(Un psalm al lui David.) Te laud din toată inima, cînt laudele Tale înaintea dumnezeilor.

¹I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods The word elohim, used here, usually means “God,” but can also mean “gods,” “princes,” or “angels.” , I will sing praises to you.

²Mă închin în Templul Tău cel sfînt, şi laud Numele Tău, pentru bunătatea şi credincioşia Ta, căci Ţi s'a mărit faima prin împlinirea făgăduinţelor Tale.

²I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.

³În ziua cînd Te-am chemat, m'ai ascultat, m'ai îmbărbătat şi mi-ai întărit sufletul.

³In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.

⁴Toţi împăraţii pămîntului Te vor lăuda, Doamne, cînd vor auzi cuvintele gurii Tale;

⁴All the kings of the earth will give you thanks, Yahweh, for they have heard the words of your mouth.

⁵ei vor lăuda căile Domnului, căci mare este slava Domnului!

⁵Yes, they will sing of the ways of Yahweh; for great is Yahweh’s glory.

⁶Domnul este înălţat: totuş vede pe cei smeriţi, şi cunoaşte de departe pe cei îngîmfaţi.

⁶For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but the proud, he knows from afar.

⁷Cînd umblu în mijlocul strîmtorării, Tu mă înviorezi, Îţi întinzi mîna spre mînia vrăjmaşilor mei, şi dreapta Ta mă mîntuieşte.

⁷Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch forth your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.

⁸Domnul va sfîrşi ce a început pentru mine. Doamne, bunătatea Ta ţine în veci: nu părăsi lucrările mînilor Tale.

⁸Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me; your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.
