¹(Către mai marele cîntăreţilor. Un psalm al fiilor lui Core.) Tu ai fost binevoitor cu ţara Ta, Doamne! Ai adus înapoi pe prinşii de război ai lui Iacov;

¹Yahweh, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob.

²ai iertat nelegiuirea poporului Tău,

²You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah.

³i-ai acoperit toate păcatele; -(Oprire). Ţi-ai abătut toată aprinderea, şi Te-ai întors din iuţimea mîniei Tale.

³You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger.

⁴Întoarce-ne iarăş, Dumnezeul mîntuirii noastre! Încetează-Ţi mînia împotriva nostră!

⁴Turn us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation toward us to cease.

⁵În veci Te vei mînia pe noi? În veci îţi vei lungi mînia?

⁵Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?

⁶Nu ne vei înviora iarăş, pentruca să se bucure poporul Tău în Tine?

⁶Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?

⁷Arată-ne, Doamne, bunătatea Ta, şi dă-ne mîntuirea Ta!

⁷Show us your loving kindness, Yahweh. Grant us your salvation.

⁸Eu voi asculta ce zice Dumnezeu, Domnul: căci El vorbeşte de pace poporului Său şi iubiţilor Lui, numai, ei să nu cadă iarăş în nebunie.

⁸I will hear what God, Yahweh, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly.

⁹Da, mîntuirea Lui este aproape de ceice se tem de El, pentruca în ţara noastră să locuiască slava.

⁹Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

¹⁰Bunătatea şi credincioşia se întîlnesc, dreptatea şi pacea se sărută.

¹⁰Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹¹Credincioşia răsare din pămînt, şi dreptatea priveşte dela înălţimea cerurilor.

¹¹Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven.

¹²Domnul ne va da şi fericirea, şi pămîntul nostru îşi va da roadele.

¹²Yes, Yahweh will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.

¹³Dreptatea va merge şi înaintea Lui, şi -L va şi urma, călcînd pe urmele paşilor Lui!

¹³Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.
