¹Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Saviour, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,

²Ka Timote, murho chacho shav ando pachamos, O Del O Dat ai O Jesus Kristo amaro skepitori te del tu o lashimos, e mila, ai e pacha.

²to Timotheus — genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus our Lord,

³Sar kana manglem tutar kana gelemtar ande Macedonia te beshes ande Ephesus. Ke si ando Ephesus manush kai parhuven o zakono le Devlesko, ai trobul te des len ordina te aterdion.

³according as I did exhort thee to remain in Ephesus — I going on to Macedonia — that thou mightest charge certain not to teach any other thing,

⁴Phen lenge te meken kodola paramicha kai nai chache, ai te na mothon pel but papuria kai sas mai anglal, ke kadala dieli keren ferdi chingara ai chi zhutin lengo pachamos te zurion.

⁴nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than the building up of God that is in faith: —

⁵Ke so mangav si, ke sa le sgave le Devleske kai si kotse te aven ande dragostia kai avel andak vuzho ilo, ai lenge ginduria te aven vuzhe, ai lengo pachamos te avel chacho.

⁵And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned,

⁶from which certain, having swerved, did turn aside to vain discourse,

⁹having known this, that for a righteous man law is not set, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, parricides and matricides, men-slayers,

¹¹according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.

¹²And I give thanks to him who enabled me — Christ Jesus our Lord — that he did reckon me stedfast, having put [me] to the ministration,

¹⁴and exceedingly abound did the grace of our Lord, with faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus:

¹⁵stedfast [is] the word, and of all acceptation worthy, that Christ Jesus came to the world to save sinners — first of whom I am;

¹⁶Numa kodia le Devleske sas mila anda mande, manglia O Jesus Kristo te sikavel ke me sim o mai chorho andal bezexale, ai te sikavel peski rhavda sa kodolenge kai mai angle pachanpe ande leste, ai premina o traio kai chi mai getolpe.

¹⁶but because of this I found kindness, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all long-suffering, for a pattern of those about to believe on him to life age-during:

¹⁷Tu amperatona kai ande swako vriama avesa, tu kai shoxar chi meres, tu kai chi dichos, ai tu san ferdi O Del kai zhanel swako fielo. Tuke te avel o respektimos, o luvudimos ande swako vriama. Amen.

¹⁷and to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honour and glory — to the ages of the ages! Amen.

¹⁸O Timote, murho shav, mekav tuke, so sas tuke phendo palal vorbi kai sas ande profesi, kai sas phende mai anglal pa tute. Ankerdiol katar kadala vorbi saxke te zhas angle ai te niris.

¹⁸This charge I commit to thee, child Timotheus, according to the prophesies that went before upon thee, that thou mayest war in them the good warfare,

¹⁹Garav o pachamos, ai lashe ginduria, ke uni chi mangle te lenpe pala pende ginduria, ai porme xasarde pengo pachamos.

¹⁹having faith and a good conscience, which certain having thrust away, concerning the faith did make shipwreck,

²⁰Mashkar lende si o Himenaeus ai o Alexander, kai meklem le le bengeske, saxke te sichon te na maren mui katar O Del.

²⁰of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I did deliver to the Adversary, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
