1Zase odpovedal Job a riekol:
1And Job answereth and saith: —
2Čo si pomohol tomu, kto nemá sily? Jako si zachránil rameno, ktoré nemá vlády?
2What — thou hast helped the powerless, Saved an arm not strong!
3Čo si poradil tomu, kto nemá múdrosti? A dal si hojne poznať pravú podstatu vecí!
3What — thou hast given counsel to the unwise, And wise plans in abundance made known.
4Komu si zvestoval slová? A čí dych to vyšiel z teba?
4With whom hast thou declared words? And whose breath came forth from thee?
5Duchovia mŕtvych sa svíjajú bolesťou pod vodami aj ich spoluobyvatelia.
5The Rephaim are formed, Beneath the waters, also their inhabitants.
6Priepasť šeola je nahá pred ním, a nieto prikrytia abaddonu.
6Naked [is] Sheol over-against Him, And there is no covering to destruction.
7Rozťahuje sever nad prázdnom; zavesil zem na ničom.
7Stretching out the north over desolation, Hanging the earth upon nothing,
8Zaväzuje vody do svojich oblakov, a neroztrhne sa oblak pod nimi.
8Binding up the waters in His thick clouds, And the cloud is not rent under them.
9Drží ukrytú tvár svojho trónu; rozťahuje nad ním svoj oblak;
9Taking hold of the face of the throne, Spreading over it His cloud.
10ustanovil medze na povrchu vody do kruhu až potiaľ, kde končí svetlo so tmou.
10A limit He hath placed on the waters, Unto the boundary of light with darkness.
11Stĺpy nebies sa trasú a trnú od jeho žehrania.
11Pillars of the heavens do tremble, And they wonder because of His rebuke.
12Svojou silou búri more a svojím umom drtí Rahaba.
12By His power He hath quieted the sea, And by His understanding smitten the proud.
13Od jeho ducha nebesia báj; jeho ruka prebodne dlhého hada.
13By His Spirit the heavens He beautified, Formed hath His hand the fleeing serpent.
14Hľa, to sú výbežky jeho ciest. A jaký je to ešte len šepot toho, čo sme počuli o ňom! A hromu jeho hrdinskej sily kto porozumie?!
14Lo, these [are] the borders of His way, And how little a matter is heard of Him, And the thunder of His might Who doth understand?
