¹A Bôh požehnal Noacha a jeho synov a riekol im: Ploďte sa a množte sa a naplňte zem.

¹And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

²Vaša bázeň a váš strach bude na každom zvierati zeme a na každom vtákovi neba; to i so všetkým, čo sa hýbe na zemi, i so všetkými rybami mora je dané do vašej ruky.

²And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every bird of the heavens; With all wherewith the ground teemeth, and all the fishes of the sea, into your hand are they delivered.

³Všetko, čo sa hýbe a je živé, bude vám na pokrm, ako zelené byliny, tak som vám dal to všetko.

³Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you; As the green herb have I given you all.

⁴Avšak mäsa s jeho dušou to jest s jeho krvou, nebudete jesť.

⁴But flesh with the life thereof, [which is] the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

⁵No, vašu krv vo vašich dušiach budem vyhľadávať; z ruky každého zvieraťa ju budem vyhľadávať i z ruky človeka, z ruky každého, kto by zabil svojho brata, budem vyhľadávať dušu človeka.

⁵And surely your blood, [the blood] of your lives, will I require; At the hand of every beast will I require it. And at the hand of man, even at the hand of every man's brother, will I require the life of man.

⁶Kto vyleje krv človeka, toho krv bude vyliata človekom, lebo na obraz Boží učinil Bôh človeka.

⁶Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: For in the image of God made he man.

⁷A vy sa ploďte a množte sa, rozploďte sa hojne na zemi a rozmnožte sa na nej.

⁷And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

⁸A zase povedal Bôh Noachovi a jeho synom s ním a riekol:

⁸And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,

⁹A ja, hľa, staviam svoju smluvu s vami i s vaším semenom po vás

⁹And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;

¹⁰i s každou dušou živou, ktorá je s vami, jako z vtáctva, tak i z hoviad i zo všetkých zvierat zeme s vami počnúc od všetkých tých, ktoré vyšly z korábu, až po každé zviera zeme.

¹⁰and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you. Of all that go out of the ark, even every beast of the earth.

¹¹A tedy som postavil svoju smluvu s vami a nebude viacej vyťaté všetko telo vodami potopy, ani nebude viacej potopy, aby zkazila zem.

¹¹And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

¹²A Bôh povedal: Toto bude znamením smluvy, ktorú ja dávam medzi sebou a medzi vami a medzi každou živou dušou, ktorá je s vami, na večné pokolenia:

¹²And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

¹³svoju dúhu dávam na oblaku, a bude znamením smluvy medzi mnou a medzi zemou,

¹³I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

¹⁴a bude, keď zaoblačím oblakom nad zemou, že sa ukáže dúha na oblaku,

¹⁴And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud,

¹⁵a vtedy sa rozpamätám na svoju smluvu, ktorá je medzi mnou a medzi vami jako i medzi každou živou dušou v každom tele, a nebude viacej vôd na potopu, aby zkazila každé telo.

¹⁵and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

¹⁶A dúha bude na oblaku, a budem ju vidieť, aby som pamätal na večnú smluvu medzi Bohom a medzi každou živou dušou v každom tele, ktoré je na zemi.

¹⁶And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

¹⁷A Bôh povedal Noachovi: Toto je tedy znamením smluvy, ktorú som postavil medzi sebou a medzi každým telom, ktoré je na zemi.

¹⁷And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

¹⁸A synovia Noachovi, ktorí vyšli z korábu, boli: Sem, Cham a Jafet. A Cham bol otec Kanaánov.

¹⁸And the sons of Noah, that went forth from the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

¹⁹Títo traja sú synovia Noachovi, a od týchto bola zaľudnená celá zem.

¹⁹These three were the sons of Noah: and of these was the whole earth overspread.

²⁰A Noach, muž pôdy začal obrábať zem a vysadil vinicu.

²⁰And Noah began to be a husbandman, and planted a vineyard:

²¹A pil víno a opil a obnažil sa prostred svojho stánu.

²¹and he drank of the wine, and was drunken. And he was uncovered within his tent.

²²A Cham, otec Kanaánov, videl nahotu svojho otca a povedal to svojim dvom bratom vonku.

²²And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

²³Vtedy vzal Sem a Jafet rúcho, položili ho obaja na svoje plece a išli zadom a prikryli nahotu svojho otca, kým ich tvári boly obrátené nazad, takže nevideli nahoty svojho otca.

²³And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father. And their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

²⁴Keď sa potom prebudil Noach zo svojho vína a dozvedel sa, čo mu urobil jeho mladší syn,

²⁴And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done unto him.

²⁵povedal: Nech je zlorečený Kanaán; sluhom sluhov bude svojim bratom.

²⁵And he said, Cursed be Canaan; A servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

²⁶A potom povedal: Nech je požehnaný Hospodin Bôh Semov, a Kanaán nech mu je sluhom.

²⁶And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant.

²⁷Nech rozšíri Bôh Jafeta, a nech býva v stánoch Semových, a Kanaán nech im je sluhom.

²⁷God enlarge Japheth, And let him dwell in the tents of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant.

²⁸A Noach žil po potope tristo päťdesiat rokov.

²⁸And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

²⁹A bolo všetkých dní Noachových deväťsto a päťdesiat rokov, a zomrel.

²⁹And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: And he died.
