¹And these were sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron: the first-born Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess;

²tretji Absalom, sin Maake, hčere Talmaja, kralja gesurskega; četrti Adonija, sin Hagite;

²the third Absalom, son of Maachah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth Adonijah, son of Haggith;

³peti Sefatija, iz Abitale; šesti, Itream po Egli, ženi njegovi.

³the fifth Shephatiah, of Abital; the sixth Ithream, of Eglah his wife.

⁴Šest se mu jih je rodilo v Hebronu; in tam je kraljeval sedem let in šest mesecev, v Jeruzalemu pa je kraljeval triintrideset let.

⁴Six have been borne to him in Hebron, and he reigneth there seven years and six months, and thirty and three years he hath reigned in Jerusalem.

⁵Ti pa so se mu rodili v Jeruzalemu: Simea, Sobab, Natan in Salomon, štirje, iz Batsuve, hčere Amieleve;

⁵And these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon — four, of Bath-Sheba daughter of Ammiel:

⁶in Ibhar, Elisama, in Elifelet,

⁶also Ibhar, and Elishama, and Eliphelet,

⁷Noga, Nefeg, Jafija,

⁷and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

⁸Elisama, Eliada in Elifelet, devet.

⁸and Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.

⁹Vsi ti so bili sinovi Davidovi, razen sinov priležnic; Tamara pa je bila njih sestra.

⁹All [are] sons of David, apart from sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister.

¹⁰Salomonov sin pa je bil Roboam, tega sin Abija, tega sin Asa, tega sin Josafat,

¹⁰And the son of Solomon [is] Rehoboam, Abijah his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,

¹¹tega sin Joram, tega sin Ahazija, tega sin Joas,

¹¹Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son,

¹²tega sin Amazija, tega sin Azarija, tega sin Jotam,

¹²Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son,

¹³tega sin Ahaz, tega sin Ezekija, tega sin Manasej,

¹³Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,

¹⁴tega sin Amon, tega sin Josija.

¹⁵In sinovi Josijevi: prvenec Johanan, drugi Jojakim, tretji Zedekija, četrti Salum.

¹⁵And sons of Josiah: the first-born Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.

¹⁶Sinova pa Jojakimova: tega sin Jekonija, tega sin Zedekija.

¹⁶And sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.

¹⁷In sinovi Jekonija, jetnika: Sealtiel, sin njegov,

¹⁷And sons of Jeconiah: Assir; Salathiel his son;

¹⁸Malhiram, Pedaja, Senazar, Jekamija, Hosama in Nedabija.

¹⁸also Malchiram and Pedaiah, and Shenazzar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

¹⁹In sinova Pedajeva: Zerubabel in Simej, in sinova Zerubabelova: Mesulam in Hananija, in Šelomita je bila njiju sestra;

²⁰in Hasuba, Ohel, Berekija, Hasadija, Jušab-hesed, pet.
